Work Text:
AJ was sitting at the breakfast table, wolfing down cereal as Lee and Clementine were talking about something not interesting enough. He was mad and visibly so. I mean who wouldn't be, when their father interrupts their chance to shoot their friends! Clem was sneaking worried glances at her younger brother, who was viscously murdering a family of Froot Loops.
"I want a gun," AJ blurted out. Lee almost spits out the coffee he was drinking at his sudden proclamation. The only woman of the household is trying her best to not burst out laughing.
AJ however, was serious. He didn't even understand what was so funny about the situation. He wanted a real working gun and that's that. Is that too much to ask?
"Why do you suddenly want a gun, goofball?" Lee looked amused and concerned at the same time. Like he wasn't quite sure weather he should laugh or not. He chose not to, because he had the feeling that AJ wasn't joking.
"Mitch showed me this one show and it had guns and it was so cool!" The youngest of the three was re-enacting some scene, flailing around his spoon spilling milk everywhere.
"Besides, I'm a great shot," Lee was about to question it, but didn't get the chance to as AJ sped out the door, leaving his breakfast things on the table. The brunet boy ran down the street bare feet, he hadn't bothered putting shoes on, since he was going to Tenn's house anyway, which was just a few houses down his.
A red haired girl opened the door, before AJ had the chance to ring the doorbell.
"Tenn's in his room, if you're looking for him," Minerva told the 8 year old as she made her way out the door. AJ didn't even react as he pushed his way past the girl and into the house. He didn't even take the time to look around as he already sped through the halls and into his friend's room. Tenn was colouring a drawing of his, laying on the ground as AJ burst through the door. The older didn't even bat an eye and kept colouring as if this was a common occurrence (which it is).
"I have an extremely important job for you!" AJ announced, posing dramatically, holding a small nerf gun in the air. Tenn raised his gaze from the paper in front of him and drew his attention to AJ.
"I am gonna need you to paint this into a real gun!" Tenn didn't really even question it, just took the nerf gun from AJ's hands and went to fetch his art supplies.
"Your dad is fine with this, right?" Tenn asked, before dipping a paint brush in silver paint. AJ just shrugged it off and started talking about some show he and Mitch have been watching. The older one of the two just made an indifferent noise and got to work.
A while later, after Tenn was done with the gun and the paint had dried, the two could hear a knock at the door.
"Tenn, we're going to the store, you're coming with! AJ can tag along too, if he wants to!" Minnie shouted through the door. AJ made a face and Tenn knew immediately, that he wouldn't be coming along.
"I'm coming!" the taller of the two shouted back at his sister. The younger one just grabbed his newly painted gun and ran out, wanting to show it to Clem. To his surprise, the brunette was already walking towards Tenn's house. AJ ran up to her, shoving the gun in her face. She took a second to process what was happening. She couldn't get a proper word out, just stuttering out of confusion.
"Look how cool it is!" AJ shouted, pressing the gun into Clementine's face.
"Why do you have that? Wait... Did Tenn help you?" The brunette asked, to which AJ nodded enthusiastically.
"Just saying, you probably shouldn't wave that around in public spaces," Clem tried telling her brother, but it didn't seem like he was listening.
"I wanna show this to Louis! And Mitch. They'd be super impressed! Text Louis. Now," AJ demanded, trying to take Clementine's phone to text.
"I already know where he is, I was headed there anyway," Clementine said, starting to walk toward the town center.

"So I said-" Louis was cut off by Violet groaning loudly out of annoyance.
"Can you just shut the fuck up. You've been telling the same story for the past ten minutes. It's literally just a conversation you had with Clementine yesterday." The blonde complained, Mitch agreeing with her. Louis put a hand over his heart dramatically, faking being offended.
"I can't believe you'd say something like that. My story was interesting, right Aasim?" The mentioned teen looked over at Louis and just nodded and hummed dismissively, trying to concentrate on his work.
"He wasn't even listening what you just said. Also stop bothering him, we're literally at his fucking workplace." Violet said, standing up, about to try and get the others to sit at an actual table, but being interrupted by Louis' phone going off.
"Hey wait, I got a text. And it's from Clemmie!" The pianist was positively beaming with joy, shaking Marlon, who was sat beside him, doing something or other on his phone.
"Well what the fuck was it about then?" Mitch asked, slightly irritated by Louis' sudden burst of energy. Louis just shook his head and ran out the café door, mumbling to himself. The rest of the teens, who weren't working, followed him, slightly confused. The four of them were met with a Clementine, who was trying her best not to laugh and an AJ who was pointing a small gun, aimed straight at Marlon's forehead.
"Yooooooooooo the little man's got a gun!" Mitch shouted excitedly, running up to AJ. Marlon raised his hands in the air and dropped onto his knees.
"I surrender." The blond said, smiling a little, going along with whatever AJ was doing. The eight year old shot Marlon, the nerf bullet bouncing off of his forehead. Marlon fell onto the ground, pretending to be dead, still smiling. Louis gasped over dramatically.
"You- You killed him! You murderer!" He said, clearly acting, trying his best not to start laughing. Violet couldn't hold back her laughter, making Louis laugh as well.
"Nice shot, little man." Mitch held his hand up for AJ to high five, which he did.
