"Taehyun-a!!!" Beomgyu pouts.
He insisted on coming to the gym with Taehyun earlier but the younger knew it wasn't because he felt like working out. Without waiting for an answer Beomgyu asks:
"Do you think Yeonjun hyung has a crush on Soobin?"
In theory, Beomgyu should use the honourifics with Soobin too but Taehyun knows he drops them when he's talking about Soobin his boyfriend and not Soobin the leader of TXT. He already knows it's gonna be /that/ kind of conversation.
"Who doesn't?" He replies without looking at his member. "That's not helping!!!" Beomgyu says more outraged than he should be.
Taehyun gets the hint and tries to reassure Beomgyu.
"I just think he likes to tease him. They're more like brothers. You have nothing to worry about." He offers.
"I'm not worried!" Beomgyu cuts.
'Tell that to your face' Taehyun wants to say but decides to hold his tongue. Beomgyu rarely opens up about his relationship so even if he's making a fuss over nothing, Taehyun doesn't want to lose his trust.
"It's normal to be insecure Gyu, it's your first real relationship." He says half distracted walking to the chin-up bar.
Beomgyu just leans on one of the machines. He decidedly didn't come here to workout. He huffs:
"you say that like you are an expert on the matter" and rolls his eyes.
Taeyhun is patient, he should get more recognition for putting up with these guys all the time. He should be praised, even.
"I'm still the one who you came to see for advice!" He says before jumping to grab the bar and starts a series of chin ups.
Beomgyu looks around, ignoring him like he doesn't want to acknowledge that Taehyun is right. After 12 repetitions he is back on the ground:
"Look, Soobin hyung is so in love with you, it's almost kind of annoying. You really shouldn't worry about anyone else."
"Yeonjun hyung said that too..."
"You already spoke to hyung!?" Taehyun says. Beomgyu is really unbelievable. "Where's the problem then? You're the one Soobin chose!"
Beomgyu chuckes: "Don't say that like we're on a season of The Bachelor" he finally replies.
Taehyun imagines Soobin having to choose between different suitors. How it would end up in a panic attack because his hyung would not want to hurt or disappoint anyone. He would drive the producers crazy for sure.
Beomgyu walks to the leg press machine and Taehyun thinks he'll finally start doing something productive here but after a moment he notices that Beomgyu still hasn't moved, distracted and concerned.
"You've been watching fan videos again haven't you?" He tries.
Beomgyu instantly replies with the animation Tae knew he'd been trying to hold in
"It's just that there are so many Yeonbin ones and barely anything Soogyu!!!!" He complains with the attitude of the end of the world.
Taehyun looks at him intently: "I can't believe you!" He doesn't know if he should laugh or cry. "Beomgyu hyung, I love you but you're being so dramatic."
Beomgyu doesn't miss a beat "you'd be the same if Jungkook showed you interest!"
Taehyun's eyes go wide "Oh my god I don't have a crush on Jungkook hyung!!!" He tries to change the subject, "if you're not gonna workout at least let me!"
Beomgyu is now wearing a mischievous expression, proud of himself. "Yeah right, that really isn't why you started hanging out here so much..."
Taehyun can't believe him. "Oh my Godddd! Jungkook is not.. you know..!"
"Are you sure?"
"Just leave it! Why would I care!"
"But are you though?"
He's unbelievable.
"That's not what this conversation is about Beomgyu-a!!!"
Praised. He should be praised.
