Welcome! This is where I will be posting about my Danganronpa AU that I will be writing for! Let me give you some background before we dive into the characters.
In this AU, there was no reserve course, no Tragedy, no Biggest Most Awful Most Tragic Event, none of it. Hope's Peak has continued to be a good, reputable school. They even have a college for those who wish to attend after high school! Another big thing to clarify is that the characters of V3 will be existing in the universe of the original Danganronpa games instead of the "alternate universe" revealed at the end of the third game. (For those worried, don't be scared, I put Hajime Hinata in the tags for a reason). I'm going to state three major canon divergences in the way of characters now.
1) Junko Enoshima does not care for despair. She is the Ultimate Analytical Prowess, and while she is generally a shithead she still cares for her classmates and won't cause them any bodily harm. In fact, her class pretty much respects her and knows that she will do her best to make the right decisions for them.
2) Hajime Hinata in this is somewhat merged with the idea of Izuru Kamakura. So, in this universe, Hajime Hinata is the Ultimate Jack of all Trades.
3) Rantaro Amami is the Ultimate Survivalist. He's spent his time traveling to dangerous places and exploring, all while knowing the exact best ways to stay safe.
Okay, now for some more important set up! All of the classes are in Hope's Peak Academy at the same time. Class 77 of SDR2 are the third years, class 78 of THH are the second years, and Class 79 of V3 are the first years. Because of Hope's Peak's lack of structure, they can all interact as they'd like. Yes there are two Ultimate Detectives, they're in different classes so I don't see that as a conflict of interest. The Class Reps are as follows:
Class 77: Class Rep is Chiaki Nanami, Vice Rep is Hajime Hinata.
Class 78: Class Rep is Junko Enoshima, Vice Rep is Kiyotaka Ishimaru.
Class 79: Class Rep is Kirumi Tojo, Vice Rep is Kaede Akamatsu.
Okay, let's get into character head canons (that will be canon in this AU) starting with Class 77 (All characters in this class are 18)
Hajime Hinata- as stated before, Hajime is the Ultimate Jack of all Trades. He is a trans man and is bisexual. His Ultimate title means that anything he tries, he will be decently good at. He had a very good upbringing with wealthy parents. His talent is natural, as in completely without training.
Chiaki Nanami- she is still the Ultimate Gamer, but her background is slightly different here. In this AU, she is the older sister of Chihiro Fujisaki. Chiaki is a demigirl, who uses she/they pronouns. They are bisexual.
Nagito Komaeda- The only difference in his backstory from the original game is that he does not have frontotemporal dementia. He is cisgender, demisexual, and biromantic with a heavy male preference.
Kazuichi Soda- his backstory is exactly the same. He is a trans man who is bisexual, but his interest in men is heavily repressed.
Gundham Tanaka- his backstory is exactly the same. He was born intersex, causing him to need to bind his chest and leading him to identify as a trans man. He is bisexual.
Sonia Nevermind- she has the same backstory. She is nonbinary and pansexual.
Akane Owari- she has the same backstory. She is cisgender and a lesbian.
Nekomaru Nidai- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and aroace.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu- he has the same backstory. He is a trans man, demisexual, and straight.
Peko Pekoyama- she has the same backstory. She is a trans girl, demisexual, and straight
Ibuki Mioda- she has the same backstory. She is a trans girl and bisexual.
Mahiru Koizumi- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Hiyoko Saionji- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Mikan Tsumiki- she has the same backstory. They use she/they/it pronouns and is pansexual.
Teruteru Hanamura- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and pansexual.
Twogami- they have the same backstory. They are genderfluid and leave their sexuality unlabeled.
Ryota Mitari- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and questioning his sexuality.
Class 78 (All characters in this class are 17 unless otherwise specified)
Makoto Naegi- he has the same backstory. He is a trans and bisexual man
Kyoko Kirigiri- she has the same backstory. They use she/they pronouns and are gray ace
Byakya Togami- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and homosexual.
Toko Fukawa- she has the same backstory, including having DID. She is a cisgender lesbian who has dealt with comphet.
Genocide Jill- she is the sole alter of Toko Fukawa who has DID. She is not a serial killer in this AU; serial killers are her main special interest, though. She is cisgender and straight.
Yasuhiro Hagakure- he has the same backstory. He is 19, cisgender, and chooses not to label his sexuality.
Aoi Asahina- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Sakura Ogami- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender bisexual woman.
Leon Kuwata- he has almost the same backstory, the only difference being that his cousin does not have incestuous feelings for him. He is cisgender and bisexual.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru- he has the same backstory. He is a trans man who is homosexual.
Mondo Oowada- the only difference in his backstory is that Daiya did not die in the crash. Daiya is in a wheelchair because of the crash. Mondo is cisgender and homosexual.
Chihiro Fujisaki- they have the same backstory. They are nonbinary and use they/glitch pronouns, and glitch is pansexual.
Sayaka Maizono- she has the same backstory. She is cisgender and bisexual.
Junko Enoshima- as stated before, she does not want despair. She is the Ultimate Analytical Prowess. She is cisgender and aroace.
Mukuro Ikusaba- they have almost the same backstory. Instead of getting called back to Japan by Junko for reasons of despair, she is scouted by Hope's Peak and is able to successfully surprise Junko with their return. She's nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns. They are bisexual.
Celestia Ludenburg- she has the same backstory. She is a transwoman lesbian.
Hifumi Yamada- he has the same backstory. He is comfortable with he/they/it pronouns and is straight.
Class 79 (All characters in this class are 16 unless specified) (also, when I reference backstories here, I mean from in the game, not the "alternate universe" volunteering-to-be-in-a-killing-game stuff)
Kaede Akamatsu- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Shuichi Saihara- he has the same backstory. He is a trans man and is bisexual.
Maki Harukawa- she has a slightly different backstory, the only difference being that her friend from the orphanage didn't die, and coming to Hope's Peak got her officially out of her abusive living situation with the assassins. She is cisgender and bisexual.
Kaito Momota- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and bisexual, though his interest in men is generally repressed.
Kokichi Ouma- he has the same backstory. He is a trans man and is homosexual.
Kiibo Idabashi- they have the same backstory. They are comfortable with they/he pronouns and are pansexual.
Miu Iruma- she has the same backstory. She is cisgender and pansexual.
Tsumugi Shirogane- she has the same backstory. She is a trans lesbian.
Tenko Chabashira- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Himiko Yumeno- they have the same backstory. They use they/she pronouns and identify as a nonbinary lesbian.
Angie Yonaga- she has the same backstory. They use they/she/halo pronouns and identify as a nonbinary lesbian.
Korekiyo Shinguji- he did not have incestuous feelings for his sister, but she is the reason he started getting into anthropology. They use he/they pronouns and are bisexual.
Rantaro Amami- he is the Ultimate Survivalist. He has 12 little sisters, but they are all safe in his rich family's estate. He is cisgender and bisexual.
Gonta Gokuhara- he has the same backstory. He is cisgender and homosexual.
Ryoma Hoshi- he has a different backstory. He did not go to the underground tournament, so his family is alive and he never went to jail. He is trans and aroace.
Kirumi Tojo- she has the same backstory. She is a cisgender lesbian.
Now that we have that out of the way, I'll set up how to request fics from this AU just incase anyone wishes to do so! To start, the ships I'm comfortable writing for are pretty wide spread but there are a few I will consider canon in this AU. If you want to request one that I won't deem as canon for the AU, I'll still write it (as long as it fits other requirements) and I'll still post it here, but I'll put somewhere in the notes or summary that it isn't canon to the main storyline of the series. Here are the ships that either start as canon or will develop into canon (ones that I put an * next to mean they definitely need a lot of development):

Please remember that I am fully okay with requests for ships other than these.
Alrighty now onto some more important things about requests. I do not regularly write smut, and the chances are if you request it I will say no. That being said, you can request smut, just be prepared for me to say no, because that will most likely be my answer. I also am not a huge fan of writing angst, but I will do it if we can agree on it having a happy ending. While I have written the previously mentioned types in the past, I have not and will never write a crack fic (no hate to crack fic authors and readers, it just is not my cup of tea). I will not write any graphic depictions of violence (including brutal fights, SH, or SA) or death, though if it's important to your request I can have the characters talk about it.
