Curios Corner # 1
“Hey guys, I’m Midoriya, Hero name; Deku!”
“Todoroki, Hero name; FrostFire.”
“And welcome to the Curious Corner! These videos are where we discuss anything theory based, be it family relations, -”
“Toga Himiko is Bakugo’s sister.”
“-villain identities, how quirks came to be -”

“- famous conspiracies, and many mostly insane questions about heroes.”
“It’s not insane, Best Jeanist is hiding something under all that denim.”
“We’re not having this argument right now, wait until that episode.”
“What episode is this?”
“I told you earlier, how did you for- wait. Oh my god. Todoroki Shouto .”
“Yes?”
“Can you sleep with your eyes open? Because you not being awake half the time would explain a lot.
“... I’ve been doing it since school started, nobody ever noticed.”
“Dadzawa’s going to be pissed when he realizes you slept through his classes.”
“He won’t find out.”
“He checks all our videos to make sure we don’t destroy the school's reputation, or leak any dangerous information by accident.”

“You’ve apparently slept through dozens of conversations with me, so no. Suffer.

“Of course I won’t, I’d like you to rest in peace. Hey, What do you even do at night if you’re not sleeping?”
“Mostly research theories, and recently I’ve been learning how to throw knives.”

“Yes, I’m certain, and you agreed to leave me out of your theories if we made this series together.”
“Fine.”
“Great! Now, for our first episode we’ll be attempting to answer a question as old as UA itself; What animal is Nezu?”
“None.”
“What do you mean?”
“Nezu is a god. Or Satan, I'm not certain yet. Either way, not an animal.”
“Four minutes in and I already regret this.”
“Now that we’re all on the same page, Nezu is?”
“A chimera. If we know that, what's the point of this video?
“To find out what animals they are! Also maybe their gender because I don’t want to make our chess games awkward.”
“ah. I don’t think a standard DNA test would work.”
“That’s why we'll be observing their habits instead! Their diet, likes, and dislikes can help us figure out which species they take after most. Going by appearance they look like a cross between a stoat and a dog to me, what’s your guess?”
“Rats and mice are commonly experimented on, and they’re mainly herbivores. They’re small though, so I’m guessing Nezu mainly has the body of a bear mixed with rat DNA.”
“Makes sense. Time to survey the teachers!”
“Dadzawa, wait up!” The camera faces Midoriya, who calls out to an unseen person. “Drop the nickname, and put the camera away.”
“Don’t worry, he’s keeping it pointed at me!”
“And we need to call you by the nickname to protect your identity, Dadzawa. We don't want your name getting out.”
“Bullshit, you do it to annoy me and spite Endeavor. Why are you two filming alone?”
“We're making our own series!”
“Ugh, this is for Todoroki’s ridiculous theories isn’t it.”
“You can insult them all you want, everyone can still see that Shinsou is a mini you.”
“Why are you doing this to me, Problem Child? We had a deal; You annoy me as little as possible, I ignore the chaos you create.”
“Wasn’t it I don’t get caught and you don’t expel me? Also, this isn’t about Shinsou.”
“We can make it about Shinsou.”
“No. Dadzawa, We wanted to ask your opinion about Nezu!”
“Ah. They’re a rat.”
“Do you have a reason to believe as much?”
“I can’t insult my boss, but they might actually be a rat, so I just put as much hatred into the word as possible.”
“I aspire to reach your level of pettiness one day.”
“We all do, but we’re on a mission, Shouto, focus. Sensei, do you know what gender Nezu is? Have you ever observed any animal-like, or strange habits from them?”
“He/him pronouns, and everything about the rat is strange.”
“That’s true. Will asking Mic be a waste of time?”
“He’s observant, but will probably give you an outrageous answer.”
“Can’t be weirder than Shouto. By the way, Midnight’s planning to cover all your things in neon glitter.”
“Thanks, Problem child, now go bug mic. If you hear screaming, you didn't.”
The video cuts to Todoroki entering the teacher’s lounge, Midoriya holding the camera. “Mic-sensei.” The hero looks up from desk, beaming at the two.
“Hey little listeners!! What can I do for you?”
“What animal is Nezu?”
“Ah, good question. Ever heard stories about aliens?”
Todoroki nods, and Midoriya explains to the viewers. “Pre-Quirk myths about creatures from other planets or galaxies. Often depicted as more technologically advanced or intelligent than humans… oh god, please no.”
“Could you explain why you believe this?”
“No other creature like him exists - as far as we know, way smarter than us, and I'm 80% sure he’s omniscient and a mind reader!! He knows everything, and security cameras can only explain so much, ya know?!?”
“You might be onto something. Izuku, we should research, perhaps there’s a method of verifying that Nezu is an alien.”
“Mic-sensei, you’re amazing, but I absolutely despise you right now. It took me an HOUR to make him drop the god theory - this is going to take me all day.”
“Just accept the truth little listener!!”
“I regret.”
“Since Koda managed to talk with Nezu, we can rule out extraterrestrial being! Unfortunately, I’m not sure what animal he is because Koda was threatened into silence.”
“His reaction to the cat and love of cheese confirms rodent DNA.”
“That’s the only thing we can be mostly certain of, since he didn't respond like a specific animal to any of the other tests. I can’t think of anything else we could try that wouldn't be disrupted by his quirk and human behavior. So, what did we learn today?”
“He’s not a god, or an alien, but he is terrifying. We also know that he’s a rat.”
“ That’s the real lesson; Dadzawa is always right. Calling Nezu a rat sounds a little too demeaning though.”
“The Rat God.”
“Accurate. Maybe we should make Rat God merch. We’ll see you next week, for the second episode of Curious Corner! Bye!”
