"There you are!" Yena ran towards Yuri, engulfing her in a bone-crushing hug. "S-stop I can't breathe!" Yuri giggled, gently pushing the duck away. They were walking together at the pier nearby Yuri's apartment. Yena figured it would be the perfect time to walk with Yuri somewhere.
(By perfect time she meant 2 in the morning.)
"So this is where you stay after your classes?" Yena kicked the rocks beneath her feet. The moon is high up, making her look at it intently. Noticing that she can only hear her own footsteps, Yena looked beside her, then eventually behind her, where Yuri was standing still.
"Yuri? Are you alright?" Yuri snapped back to her senses after hearing Yena's loud voice, then grinned afterwards.
"I'm alright! Wait for me."
---
Months have passed by, and Yena was back in front of Yuri's apartment holding a bag of food. And moments after, here they are back at the pier. Whenever Yena cracked a joke, Yuri could almost die of laughter. The two went on laughing even after the sun has risen.
"See you again maybe... next time?" Yuri said, placing her hands on Yena's shoulders, pulling her into a hug.
"Gladly." Yena replied.
---
Yena was back at Yuri's apartment.
But she's there for something else. Grasping the box inside her pocket, she made her way to Yuri's door. When all of a sudden, a girl emerged from inside. "Oh? Yena?" the duck stood there for several moments, trying to remember who the girl was.
"Hyewon?" Yena raised an eyebrow. She didn't know she and Yuri were friends. "Right, finally you remember me. I'll see you two around?" Hyewon waved at Yuri and Yena goodbye, before leaving with a smile.
Yena stood outside Yuri's door for a few moments, her eyes stuck on Yuri's figure. There was a short silence, before Yuri dragged Yena inside.
---
Yena was back at the pier all alone. With her hands tightly grabbing onto her windbreaker, she sighed. Walking alone in such a huge place made her feel lonely. Looking up, the moon shone as bright as ever, making her squint.
Hearing several footsteps behind her, she turned around. And it was Yuri, walking alongside Hyewon.
The moment was like deja vu for Yena. With Yuri meters away from Hyewon, it reminded her of the first time she went here with the red-haired girl.
"Yuri? Are you alright?" Yena shivered, the same exact thing happening right in front her. Yuri's eyes met hers briefly, before Yena turned around and continued walking.
"Yena-unnie! Won't you wait for me?"
