Work Text:
Magne's Sister
Magne finds out that his new friend is his sister, bad news for him, great news for Saxa who finds herself interested in Magne.
Magne and Signy were walking back from the mountains. The couple had spent the day with one another, they had went on a picnic and had went up to the glacier together. They had been interested in each other since early March but they had decided to get serious about each other last week. The couple had been together about three days. They were taking things slow. Magne nor Signy had kissed yet or discussed being intimate with one another. They enjoyed one another’s company and they wanted to get to know each other better before moving to the next step. Magne found himself interested in Signy the first day that he saw her, there was something about her that attracted him in a way that he did not understand. When he talked with her for the first time, it felt like he had known her his entire life. Signy was kind and easy to talk to. Most of the time they spent time at his house or they went to the mountains. Signy’s mother worked as an online professor for several colleges, she worked from her home and only occasionally went to Bergin or Oslo, most of the time she was at home and she needed the house quiet, Signy always tried to stay out of the house or in her room when her mother was instructing her classes. Her mother Jenny had taken the online position in Norway after the college in London that she was teaching at had downsized staff. Jenny’s grandparents had left her a small house in Edda about eight years ago after their deaths. Signy’s mother had wanted to stay in London, Signy had too, but her mother had to move because she could no longer afford the rent on their apartment after she lost her job, she and her mother moved to Edda just after the new year.
Signy had met Magne after they were assigned a group science project, she had went to his house several evenings to work on the project. They found that they had a lot in common. They were both being raised by single mothers, they had recently moved to Edda and enjoyed music and walking in the mountains. Magne’s father had died when he was young and Signy’s father and mother were not together, she had never met her father but her mother said that he had died years ago, she never spoke of him. When Signy had pressed her for answers, she said that Signy’s father had been a married man and he had once lived in Edda.
Signy decided to invite Magne to her house for something to eat. It was about four p.m., not quite dinnertime, but they could have a snack. Signy unlocked the door and invited Magne inside of her home. She could hear her mother talking on the telephone with someone, probably one of her friends in London. Signy invited Magne to sit down in the kitchen while she made some tea and found some cookies. Signy liked Magne and she hoped that her mom would like him too, there was something about him that made him very special, she knew it the first time that she had seen him. Signy knew that most of the people in town thought that Magne was weird, he was strange, but that is what made him so special, he wasn’t like anyone else that she had ever met before. Magne looked around the kitchen, the kitchen was bigger and brighter than their kitchen at home.
“Do you need some help Signy, I can help you if you want.” Volunteered Magne.
“No, but thank-you.” Said Signy as she found two teacups and saucers in the cabinet. She sat cups and saucers on the table, she looked up and her mother was walking into the kitchen.
“I see we have a guest this evening, I was wondering when you were going to make some friends. Hello there young man, I am Jenny Elssin, Signy’s mother and you are…?” Magne extended his hand.
“Hello, my name is Magne Seier, nice to meet you.” Jenny looked at Magne. She could not believe it. The young man’s last name was Seier. She decided that she had to know more about the young boy in front of her.
“I used to know a couple named Asbjorn and Turid Seier years ago before I moved away. Are you related to them?” inquired Jenny as her heart started to race. She was nervous, she didn’t know if she wanted to hear the answer that the young man would give.
“Yes, Turid is my mother and Asbjorn was my father, he died years ago in an accident.” Jenny sat silently in front of Magne. This young man in front of her was Asbjorn Seier’s son. Asbjorn’s son was dating her daughter Signy. This relationship was a disaster in the making. Jenny knew things that the young couple did not know. She knew that she would need to talk to Signy after Magne left and went home. She decided to go to see Turid Seier tomorrow morning, they would all need to sit down and talk about this situation and soon thought Jenny as she noticed that Signy had reached over to hold Magne’s hand. The two young people were quite fond of each other, she wondered how they would react when she told them what she had to tell them. The two young people finished their tea and sat down to watch television until Magne told her that he had to go home, but first he had to stop by SPAR and pick up some pasta sauce because his mom was preparing spaghetti and meatballs. He invited Signy to eat dinner with him, but she told him that they were having spaghetti too. He told her maybe another night and she agreed. The couple walked to the door together, Jenny watched the couple from the kitchen, the young couple hugged and Magne walked out of the door. Signy closed the door behind him, she smiled as she walked back to where her mother stood.
“Signy, we have got to talk.”
“What do we have to talk about mom?” asked Signy as she started unpacking the small lunchbox she and Magne had taken to the mountains earlier.
“How long have you and Magne been seeing each other?” Signy thought that was a rather odd question for her mother to ask her.
“Magne and I have liked each other for months, we only started dating each other a few days ago.”
“So you and Magne haven’t been fooling around with each other?” Signy started to get angry about her mother’s sudden interrogation of her.
“No mother, Magne and I have not had sex with one another, we haven’t even kissed each other yet!” yelled Signy. She was very angry at her mother. Signy was not prepared for what her mother told her to do next.
“Signy, I am sorry, but I am going to have to ask you to stop seeing Magne Seier. I don’t think that it is a good idea for the two of you to keep seeing one another.”
“Why? Is there something wrong with Magne? Let me guess, you don’t like him.” asked Signy.
“No Signy, that is not the reason why I don’t want to see you and Magne together.” Said Jenny as she felt tears building in her eyes. She knew that Signy would probably hate her for what she was about to tell her.
“Well what is wrong with me dating Magne, why don’t you want to see us together? Don’t you want me to be happy?” asked a distraught Signy as she prepared to leave her mother and go upstairs.
“Signy, I have something to tell you…”
“Save it mom, I am so out of here!” said Signy as she grabbed her cellphone and walked out of the kitchen.
“Signy, I have something to tell you about Magne, you cannot continue to date him because he is your brother! You and Magne Seier have the same father. His father Asbjorn Seier is your father too.” Said Jenny as she went to sit down in the living room. Signy who had went to the stairs, turned around and looked at her mother. She was in complete shock about what her mother had just told her. She felt like she had been punched in the chest and she was about to faint. She felt dizzy too.
“I don’t believe that you are telling me this now, why didn’t you tell me this years ago.”
“Signy, I was ashamed, I slept with a married man. Asbjorn and his wife Turid were separated at the time, I think that she was sleeping with Vidar Jutul, Ran Jutul’s husband, that was a saga in and of itself because Ran Jutul was sleeping with any man that she could talk into bed with her, but anyway, I had always had my eyes on Asbjorn Seier, even in high school. He was one of the most popular guys there, he always had a girlfriend. Well anyway, he went off to trade school and he came back and married this girl named Turid, Magne’s mother, well for whatever reason, the two of them went their separate ways after the first child Magne was born. One night I was out at a convenience store buying beer and Asbjorn Seier walks in, he had just gotten off work and he was getting something to eat. We started talking and he came over to my house. We shared a pizza and some beer, the next thing that I know, we are in my bed having sex. He came over a few times after that. He got back with Turid a couple of weeks before I found out that I was pregnant. I told him and he asked me what I planned to do, I told him that I had taken a teaching position in Oslo and I moved away, he begged me not to leave Edda, but I didn’t want to be the other woman so I left. Asbjorn would come and see us down in Oslo until we moved away to London. I could not come back to Asbjorn’s funeral, I didn’t know that he had died until weeks after he was buried. I didn’t get a chance to say good-bye to him. I still love him and miss him greatly.”
Signy looked at her mother, she was speechless. She wanted to hate her mother right now, but she couldn’t. She had always wanted to know who her father was, but now she wished that she had never asked. Magne was her brother, she would never have guessed that one in a million years. Why didn’t her mother tell her when they first came back to Edda? Signy started to cry, Jenny did too.
“I plan to go to Turid’s house tomorrow and let her know. Magne needs to know too. Signy I am so sorry about all of this, I wanted to tell you this for so long, but I didn’t know how. I have always wanted you to think well of me, I made some mistakes in this life, but you were not one of them. Okay?” Signy didn’t know how to feel, she was happy that she had a brother, but she hated losing her boyfriend. She never got a chance to know her father either. She wondered how Magne would react when he found out about the two of them being brother and sister. Jenny got up and went to her office, she motioned for Signy to follow her, she turned on her computer, she clicked on a file of pictures, the pictures showed her with a tall blonde man holding her in his arms.
“Asbjorn?” asked Signy. Jenny nodded. Jenny clicked on several photos with the three of them in the photos. The last photo was of her, her mother and father, she was about five years old.
“I told you that he was my friend and your pretend uncle and he was fine with this. I always told him when I came to Oslo from London so that he could see you. I don’t know if he ever told Turid about you, well, us.”
Signy felt a little better after she saw her father with her in pictures, all of this was so crazy. Signy and Jenny sat in silence for over a half hour. Signy got up and told her mother that she was going to her room, Jenny nodded as she hugged Signy and watched her walk out of the door to her room.
The next morning Turid got up and made breakfast for Magne and Laurits. She made eggs, sausage and pancakes. The boys ate their breakfast and talked with Turid about their plans for the summer. Today she and Magne wanted to just relax especially since it was going to rain later in the day. Laurits decided to go to visit Vidar’s grave, Vidar had been killed several weeks ago by Magne, the official story was that Vidar had died at his residence of cardiac arrest. After Vidar’s death, Magne and Laurits had had a strained relationship. This morning after breakfast Turid washed the dishes and sat down to read one of her new books. It was eleven o’clock when there was a knock at the door. She went to the door and looked outside, she saw Magne’s friend with an older lady, she quickly opened the door.
“Good morning Signy, how are you doing this morning?” asked Turid. Signy did not get a chance to answer.
“Good morning Turid, how are you doing?” asked the older woman.
“Excuse me, do I know you?” inquired Turid.
“Yes, we know each other, I lived here years ago. My name is Jenny Elssin.” Turid looked confused.
“You probably knew me as “London Jenny” that is what everyone called me after I moved to London.”
“Oh yeah, I remember you now.” Said Turid. She was curious about why the woman had suddenly showed up on her doorstep.
“Please come inside, I will tell Magne that you are here.” Said Turid as she looked at Signy.
“Turid, please wait, there is something that you and I need to talk about.” Said Jenny as Turid led Jenny and Signy to the living room to sit down. Turid waited for Jenny to speak.
“Turid, what I have to tell you is going to be very awkward, this all happened so long ago.” Turid waited for Jenny to gone on. She sighed as she continued her story.
“Years ago, well about seventeen years ago, when you and Asbjorn were separated, he and I were in a relationship with one another. I got pregnant, Asbjorn knew about the child. I told him that I didn’t want him to destroy his marriage because of me. You and Asbjorn were getting back together. I moved away to Oslo because I took a teaching position there. Signy was born in Oslo, I stayed in Oslo until she was three and then I moved to London. I am sorry to come to you with all of this now, but Signy and Magne are seeing each other, I thought that they should know about this before they got serious about each other. I didn’t come over here today to upset you Turid.”
Turid thought about what the woman had said. There wasn’t too much that she could say. The news was upsetting, but all of this had happened so long ago and Asbjorn was dead now. There was no more to be said. She had been unfaithful to Asbjorn too, they had both been so young when they got married. The young couple had separated because Asbjorn was never home, he was either working or out with his friends. Turid moved out into her own apartment with Magne, she was having trouble making ends meet, several times she worked different parties as a server on the weekend. This was how she meet Vidar Jutul, she had slept with him several times around the time that she and Asbjorn were considering reconciling with one another. She was pregnant with Vidar’s child when she and Asbjorn got back together, she had only told Vidar that Laurits was his child a couple of weeks ago before his death.
“Look, listen Jenny there are no hard feelings about what happened between you and Asbjorn all of those years ago. He and I both made mistakes. I am happy to meet Asbjorn’s daughter, I have always liked Signy, she is such a nice young woman, I am sure that Asbjorn would have been very proud of her.” Said Turid as she looked over at Signy and smiled at her. The two women continued to talk as Magne walked down the stairs. Signy looked up at him. Magne was surprised to see Signy at his house, especially since she didn’t tell him that she was coming to see him.
“Hey Signy, what are you doing here?” inquired Magne. Turid looked up at him with a grin on her face.
“Magne say hello to your sister!” Magne looked at the small group, he didn’t feel this much shock when he had electrocuted Vidar Jutul.
“Mom, that’s not funny!” said Magne as he looked over at her. Signy looked up at him with a serious look on her face. Her mother Jenny looked at him trying to gauge his reaction too. Turid was no longer grinning either. Jenny spoke.
“I wish that this were a joke, but it is not Magne. Signy is your sister, your father and I had…”
“How could you? How could you just come here and tell me and my mother something like this? Why did you wait this long to tell us this? Said Magne as he ran his hand through his hair, he reached for his blue tangle on the coffee table, he hadn’t needed it in weeks, but today was a particularly trying day already and it wasn’t even noon. Magne began to pace back and forth, Jenny noticed the sky outside began to get dark and she saw the clouds roll in, the same things happened when Asbjorn got upset.
Magne looked around him, he knew that if he stayed in the house, he was going to get even angrier and the lights were already flicking and Signy was looking around the house, Magne reasoned that she would never suspect that he was the reason that the lights were flickering and there was a storm outside.
“Magne please sit down, let’s talk about this dear.” Implored Turid as she got up to put her arms around Magne who walked away from her.
“I need to just get out of here right now mom, I need time to process this. I am going to be okay. I need to take a walk and calm down. I will be back soon.” Said Magne as he grabbed his phone and jacket and walked out of the door with a worried Turid behind him. Jenny walked over to Turid.
“Turid, just give him time to think about all of this. I need to talk to him as well. I hope that he understands that all of this is new for you too. I am sorry to just come here and upend your life, but the kids needed to know the truth. I felt that you needed to know the truth too.” Turid nodded as she turned around to Jenny and Signy. The two women walked back to sit down and continue explaining things as best as they could to Signy.
Magne walked to the mountains as the cool winds increased, there would be a storm soon, he had been totally unprepared for what Jenny, Signy’s mother had told him. How do you come into someone’s life after seventeen years and deliver news like that? Why did his father keep this from he and Laurits? Signy was not Laurits’s sister because he had a different father and Signy had a different mother? What the hell were his parents thinking and doing back so long ago? Magne shook his head in disbelief at this recent revelation. He walked up to the glacier where Isolde had often visited and sat down. He turned his cell phone on and listened to music. His mother and Signy texted him, but he ignored the texts. He wanted to slam the phone to the ground, but the last thing his cell phone needed was another crack on the screen, it was barely serviceable as it was.
Magne wondered how Signy was taking all of this, when she was at his house she looked as bewildered as he did. Signy had went from being an only child to having a brother in less than one day’s time. He thought about their relationship too. Suppose he and Signy had been serious about one another? What if they had kissed? Suppose they had went to bed with one another? Magne felt sick to his stomach as he thought about the implications that this could have had. He got up to go down the side of the mountain, on his way down, he saw the rock memorial that Fjor had left for Vidar, Magne thought good riddance to bad rubbish, Vidar had tried to kill he and Laurits that day, Magne had little regret for what he had done, he had save his life as well as Laurits’s life. Days later, Laurits came to him and told him that Ran and Vidar had actually discussed killing him and that he Magne had been right. The two young men had not spoken much since Laurits had told him this. He felt that he had lost a brother and now he gained a sister, did this mean that Laurits gained a sister too? This was all a mess thought Magne as he checked his pockets for a couple of Pamol tablets for the headache he felt coming on. Damn, he didn’t have any type of pain medicine with him. He was in serious pain, his knees were beginning to hurt to. Magne noticed that weather matched the turmoil in his body. He was off of the mountain and back in Edda. He passed several light poles and the lights shorted out. The clouds were dark and lighting struck in the distance. He decided that he was going to go home because he had been out of the house for hours and he had missed lunch, he was hungry. He didn’t feel like walking to the Edda Grille or SPAR to pick up something to eat, he didn’t have much money either. He continued walking toward home.
Saxa had been out driving for over an hour, she was still mad because Fjor had taken control of the company from her, Ran and Odd had sided with Fjor. He had walked away from the company to be with Gry, that didn’t work out for him and now he had come back and taken what was rightfully hers, screw that stupid eighteen-seventy-two bylaw stating males could only run Jutul. She should have killed Fjor and Gry now that she thought about it. Saxa turned the windshield wipers on, it had started to rain and lighting danced across the sky. She looked ahead of her, she no longer wondered why there was a storm coming, Magne Seier was out and about walking around, his emotions were causing the bad weather because he could control lightening now because he was Thor from the old world. Saxa thought about this before she drove further and decided to stop just ahead of Magne. Magne noticed that it was Saxa Jutul’s care ahead of him, angry as he was today, if she tried anything she would wind up just like Vidar. Magne’s anger cause a large lighting strike which strike a tree in front of Saxa’s car, there was a heavy downpour just as he had gotten to the passenger side of her car, she let the window down.
“Get in this car right now before you cause a cyclone that will destroy this whole town you big oaf!” yelled Saxa. Magne hesitated.
“Do you need a ride or what, I am not going to kill you, not today at least. I just don’t want to see you wind up in the hospital dying of pneumonia before Ran and I have a chance to kill you!” laughed Saxa. Stunned and soaking wet, Magne opened the door to the car as Saxa rolled up the window. She turned the heat on high as she told him to push the seat back.
“Take that jacket off, you are soaked to the bone.” Why were you out walking in the rain, Magne I swear you do some crazy stuff.” said Saxa as she opened her glove box and gave him two small fingertip towels. He wiped his face and hair, he hadn’t want to get the inside of the car wet. He was getting warm and he wasn’t as angry as he was a few minutes ago. After she decided that Magne was somewhat comfortable, Saxa started driving. She looked at Magne as she made an observation.
“Whatever it was that made you leave home must have been serious, I don’t think I have ever seen you as upset as I seen you today, do you want to talk about it? Asked Saxa curious and slightly concerned.
Magne didn’t like Saxa or her family, today was no exception, he didn’t like what they stood for. He turned around to her.
“You wouldn’t understand even if I told you, I don’t even understand what happened today.” Said Magne as he sadly hung his head. Saxa knew that she had to find out what was going on with Magne, maybe this was something that she could use to her advantage later in the family’s war against Magne, maybe Laurits too. Saxa wanted to hear more about Magne’s problems, but right now she was hungry, it was almost six p.m. when she pulled into the parking lot of the Edda Grille, she decided to leave her car running, she reasoned Magne would not drive off with it, she didn’t want to cut the car off, Magne was still trying to dry his hair and get warm, she put the car in park and grabbed her wallet.
“I am going in to get something to eat, would you like something to eat Magne?” He shook his head no, he probably didn’t have any money thought Saxa as she got out of the car and went inside. She went to the counter and gave Jens her order. She was in the restaurant almost fifteen minutes when she came outside. She had two bags in her hands along with two large cups. Magne reach over and open the door for her. She handed him the cups as he placed them in the cup holders. He took the bags as she slide into her seat.
“I got you something to eat.”
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“I didn’t mind. I was going to drive to the mountains and eat this, do you mind coming with me?”
“You are driving, it’s not like I really have a choice do?” said Magne as he leaned against the window.
Saxa needed someone to talk to, she was having problems with her family, she suspected Magne was having problems with his family too. She drove for fifteen minutes until they were out of the town limits, they were in the mountains. Magne started to get worried, Saxa looked at him and grinned. She grabbed one of the sacks out of Magne’s lap.
“Don’t worry, I just needed someone to talk to, I think that you do too.” Said Saxa as she looked at Magne who looked back at her with suspicion.
“Don’t you have Fjor and Ran, I am sure they would be glad to lend an ear to your problems.”
“I can’t count on them to hand me a glass of water since Vidar died. You know that my family has major problems don’t you?”
“Where are Fjor and Ran?”
“Don’t worry about them, Fjor is in Oslo probably with some girl and Ran is somewhere with Odd, those two have been inseparable since Vidar died.” Magne nodded. He opened the bag that Saxa had given him, he unwrapped the sandwich, it was a triple cheeseburger, with onion, lettuce, tomatoes, salt, pepper, mayo and mustard, how did she know what to put on his burger. She order spicy fries for him too, plus a coke. He thanked her and she smiled.
“What happened Magne?” He thought about what to say for minute, then he spoke.
“Today, I just found out that our classmate Signy is my sister, Asbjorn’s daughter.” Saxa looked at him like she didn’t believe him, and then she laughed.
“Are you serious, isn’t she your girlfriend? No wait, did you two have sex or kiss or any of that stuff yet?”
“No Saxa!” said Magne. “I found out about her being my sister this morning. Signy’s mother Jenny just showed up out of the blue and just sprung this on us.”
“Did your mother know any about any of this?”
“No, dad never told her, apparently he and mom were doing their own thing years ago.” Saxa laughed.
“Vidar and Ran were no different. Ran sleeps with any man with a pulse and Vidar chased every woman that he could get his hands on.” Magne and Saxa laughed.
“So, what do you think about having a sister? Does Laurits know about this yet?”
“I like having a sister, I liked having her as a girlfriend, but that wasn’t meant to be. Laurits doesn’t know about Signy being our sister, well my sister. This is all so crazy, I have two half siblings, Vidar is Laurits’s father, we have the same mother and Signy is my half-sister, she’s Asbjorn’s daughter. Do you know that Turid wasn’t even upset about this, she probably wasn’t upset because of what happened with her and Vidar and that situation? I am still trying to wrap my mind around that.”
“You know that Ran is still upset about Laurits being Vidar’s son right? I don’t why she was upset about Vidar sleeping with other women when she beds any man that she wants to. She still wants Laurits e dead, why I don’t know, killing Laurits is not going to change anything, I told her this. Fjor doesn’t care, he is indifferent, or so he says. Me, I actually like Laurits.” Magne looked over at Saxa.
“Don’t let anything happen to my brother, I will kill anyone that tries to hurt him.”
“I don’t want Laurits dead, I need any ally.” Said Saxa as she finished her French fries. The couple ate in silence as they watched a mother deer and two fawns walk toward the car. Saxa turned to Magne.
“What do you plan to do about your new sister? You two really need to get to know one another. I bet that she would enjoy having a brother. I had four brothers once, I was the baby sister. Most of the time it was fun, until they started teasing me, and that was no fun.” Laughed Saxa.
“What happened to your brothers?”
“They were killed at Ragnarok.” Magne nodded.
“What do you plan to do this summer? Will you be working at Jutul with Fjor?”
“I doubt it, Ran wants me to travel to the United States with her and do some shopping, Fjor even suggested that Ran send me away to boarding school in England, hopefully Ran won’t let him.”
“I really hope that they don’t send you away Saxa.” Said Magne as he looked straight ahead of him. Saxa could not believe that he had said that, he sounded like he meant what he said. Saxa sat and thought about Magne as she finished her burger and soda. If he wasn’t the family’s sworn enemy, Magne would be exactly the type of guy that Saxa was looking for. He was tall, blond and handsome. He looked like her Thor from her past life. Magne was the closest that she had ever come to having Thor in her life again. Saxa thought about Magne for a moment, she wondered what it would be like to kiss Magne, she imagined herself in bed with Magne making love to him, she had found herself dreaming about being with him several times, more times that she cared to admit. She wished that she could take him home with her and have him spend the night with her. She wanted to ask him to come home with her, Ran and Fjor were out of town and she needed to be with someone. He would probably say no.
Magne stared out of the window as he thought about Saxa. She was so pretty, she could have spent time with any boy that she had wanted to this evening, why did she want to be with him? Saxa was one of the prettiest girls that he had seen. He had secretly wanted to talk to her when he had first came to Edda, Isolde told him bad things about Saxa which later proved to be true. Despite this Magne still found himself attracted to Saxa. He woke up many nights quietly calling out her name after having dreamed that Saxa was in his bed making love to him. Saxa looked at him and he looked over at her, they both knew what the other was thinking, what they wanted could never be because of their circumstances, he was Thor and she was a Jutul, a Jotunn.
“Are you ready to go home Magne, I have got to get back home, Ran left some tasks for me to do, I am tired and I will probably go to bed early tonight. It has been great having someone to talk to. Thank-you.”
“No, thank you, I thought that I was losing my mind this evening. I am starting to understand all of this a little better. I think that Signy and I have to sit down and talk with one another, she will probably want to know more about our father.”
“Magne, that sounds like a good start. I think that she would be happy to talk with you.” Said Saxa as she nodded and started the car. The couple drove back toward Edda. Saxa turned in the direction of Magne’s house, he stopped her.
“I don’t want to go home, I want to go to Signy’s house, I need to talk to her about some things.”
“Okay, that sounds good Magne. I think that she needs someone to talk to right now, she is just as confused about all of this as you are. She is going to need you in the upcoming weeks.” Saxa drove to a small white house near the river. Magne got out. Signy’s house was about four houses away.
“Thank you for dinner this evening and thank you for talking with me too, I feel better now.”
“Well Magne I do too, I have got to make some tough decisions in the upcoming weeks regarding my family I am going to have to fight Ran and Fjor for my rightful place in the company. If I cannot be apart of Jutul, I may have to start a new life someplace else.”
“I hope that you choose to fight, I think that you will bring Jutul into the twenty-first century, I know that Jutul will be very successful under your leadership.” Magne got ready to get out of the car. Saxa stopped him, she grabbed his phone from his pocket, Magne wondered what she was doing, she dialed her telephone number on his cellphone.
“You will have my number in your phone in case you need someone to talk too, I will have your number too, just don’t have me listed as Saxa.” Magne nodded. He wondered why she had wanted his telephone number. Saxa leaned over to Magne, she turned his face toward hers.
“Magne don’t worry, things are going to work out.” Saxa leaned over to kiss Magne on the cheek, her touch meant so much to him at this moment, he leaned over and gave her a brief hug before he got out of her car and closed the door. She watched him as he walked down the street to Signy’s house. He felt so much better that he did a few hours ago. He arrived at Signy’s house and knocked on her door. She looked out of her window and opened her door. She smiled.
“I didn’t think that I would see you again today!” said Signy as she hugged Magne, she kissed his cheek. Two kisses and two hugs in the same day! Thought Magne as Signy dragged him into the house. Jenny walked over to him.
“Hello again Magne, it is good to see you, I was hoping that you would stop by, there are some things that I need to talk with you about. I stayed at your mother’s house for two or three hours trying to explain things to her and Signy, I am so sorry that you had to find things out this way.”
“I am okay, I can accept all of this now.” Said Magne as Jenny invited him to sit down. She started explaining her relationship with his father. He had had own questions and she had answered everyone of his questions. Magne shared his memories of his father with Jenny and Signy. The group talked for hours. It was just after eleven when Magne’s cell phone rang, his mother Turid asked where he was, he told her that he was at Signy’s house, Signy told Magne to ask could he spend the night at her and her mom’s house, he did and Turid said yes. He told his mother that he loved her and he told her goodnight and he would see her tomorrow morning, Jenny agreed to drop him off after breakfast. Signy and Magne looked at one another, even though they were no longer girlfriend and boyfriend, they would always be close to one another.
Saxa had taken a shower and went to bed as soon as she got home after she dropped Magne off, she decided to put Ran’s chores off until tomorrow. She woke up just after one a.m. She smiled, she couldn’t believe that she had actually spent time with Magne Seier. He wasn’t the hardened killer that Ran and Fjor made him out to be, he was just a scared and confused teenager, like she was. Saxa thought about Magne, she had enjoyed her evening with him, she had been overjoyed when he told her that Signy was his sister and not his girlfriend. Too bad for Signy, but this was a new opportunity for her. She was determined that she was going to get Magne in into her life and in bed with her, she didn’t care what Ran or Fjor thought, Saxa wanted Magne in her life and nothing was going to stop her.
Saxa turned her bedside lamp on, she grabbed her cell phone off of her nightstand, she sent Magne a heart emoji to his number, she waited fifteen minutes, there was no text, she placed her phone back on her nightstand and turned her light off. He was probably asleep. A few minutes later, he phone lit up and vibrated. The message was from Magne, he had sent her a heart emoji. She smiled, and turned over to go to sleep. She wanted to dream about Thor and the old world, she hoped Magne would too.
