Captain America & White Wolf

Summary:

Before they became Captain America and White Wolf, they were just two guys that had a mutual friend. But, sometimes there is more to it than just that.

---

The love story of Sam Wilson & Bucky Barnes filled with romance and heartbreak and everything in between.

Notes:

This is going to start at the end of Avengers: Endgame and continue on from there. I will also cover some of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Get ready for fluff and heartbreak and just an emotional rollercoaster!

IMPORTANT: This is not connected to my previous SamBucky fics.

Chapter 1: Reunions

Chapter Text

He walked up the familiar steps to the front porch he had known his whole life. The familiar yellow house. The house where he had grown up alongside his sister. A sister he hoped would be waiting on the other side of that door.

He took a nervous sigh before knocking on the door. The door quickly opened to reveal her. She looked fairly the same. He finally breathed out not realizing he was holding it as the door opened.

“S-Sam?” Her voice cracked as the tears began clouding her vision as she walked up to him.

“Yeah.” Was all Sam said as he wrapped his sister in his arms. He felt her shaking as she sobbed into his shoulder. To him, he had only seen her a couple of weeks ago but to Sarah, she had not seen Sam in five years.

“You’re here. You’re actually here.” Sarah said as she backed up enough to look over Sam’s face. It was like she was dreaming this moment but she knew it was real.

“Uncle Sam?” They turned to look at the boys standing at the door. Sam felt the tears begin to fill his eyes as he looked down at the boys. They had grown so much.

“Yeah. I’m back.” Sam said as the boys engulfed him in a tight hug. He had missed so much and he did not even realize it. Five years were just taken from him like it was nothing.

Bucky grabbed the beer that Steve was handing him. Bucky took a swig of it and felt as it just passed his throat like if it was water.

“What’s the point of us drinking beer if it won’t do anything?” Bucky asked as he looked over at Steve.

Steve chuckled, “I guess just for the flavor.”

Bucky chuckled as well before letting out a sigh, “So now what?”

Steve looked over at him confused, “What do you mean?”

“The fight is over, Steve. We’re no longer on the run.”

Steve looked down at his beer, “I think I might retire. It’s time to stop fighting. Cause we both know the fight never stops.”

“Just going to hang up the shield then?”

Steve sighs, “I was thinking of handing it to Sam. I think he could do good work as the new Cap. What do you think?”

Bucky smiles at him, “I think you’re right. He may talk too much but he definitely has what it takes,” Bucky sighs, “So what are you going to do? Relax on a beach somewhere?”

Steve has a small smile on his face, “I was thinking something a little different. I might go have that dance with Peggy.”

Bucky looks over at Steve and smiles, “Do it. Allow yourself some happiness.”

“You should do the same.” Steve takes a swig of his beer.

Bucky shrugs, “I might. Just need to find someone.”
