They were inside a cutesy clothing shop that also sold adorable accessories. Yoongi was looking at bracelets, some being adorned with charms of hearts, puppies, or candy. His eyes lit up each time he saw one that interested him. Taehyung kind of figured he'd slip in this store, although being in public does decrease the possibility of it. Usually, getting Yoongi into little space was an easy task. Any time the boy seemed stressed, Taehyung could speak to him with that voice, the one that makes him feel small, and baby him. It then wouldn't take long for him to let go of his stressors and become carefree, if only for a little bit. Sometimes just handing him his Kumamon plushie was enough.
"Look, look!" Yoongi's voice brought him out of his thoughts. A pair of earrings were presented to him, with charms that exactly resembled the elder's dog. "Looks just like Holly!" He says in a voice that's higher than it is regularly, a signifier of him being little.
Taehyung nods his head. "Yeah, do you want it?" He can see the male debating in his head, but ultimately, he says yes, which he's very happy to hear. Usually whenever he would try to pay for Yoongi, the elder would protest and decline, not wanting someone, especially not his lover, to waste any money on him but little Yoongi was a different story. Little Yoongi didn't have any of the guilt or shame that comes with being paid for. His mind hadn't yet grasped such social constructs. He was just happy that his Daddy was kind enough to buy things for him.
They went to a pretzel kiosk next. Big or little, Yoongi absolutely loved pretzels. He liked the cinnamon sugar bites, the jalapeño ones, and the regular salted pretzels that you dip in cheese. Without fail, every time he's at the mall, he buys from the pretzel stand as well as the boba shop.
Today he decided on cinnamon sugar pretzel bites, a perfect snack for when he's little and craving sweets. Taehyung also went and got him strawberry milk tea with boba. They sat in the food court together as they ate, conversing quietly. Every few minutes, Taehyung would grab a pretzel bite and feed it to Yoongi, knowing it makes him feel loved and cared for. He definitely wouldn't be able to finish them all, which was great since then he'd be able to eat them later!
When they were finally full and about to leave, they stopped by the candy shop that also carried stuffed animals. A gray bunny in the store window had caught the little's eye. Taehyung watched as Yoongi walked straight toward the stuffed animal first, because although he absolutely loved sweets, he loved cute plushies even more. Well, maybe not, but this one he definitely did. The male picked up the bunny, which, to his delight, let out a little rattle. His eyes crinkled and his cheeks grew bigger as he smiled at the bunny. Stuffed animals that rattled were his favorite. He loved the sound of them.
"What do you think, baby?" Taehyung asks him.
"Soooooo cute!!! It's the perfect size for cuddling 'n' it even rattles!" Yoongi holds the plushie to his chest, hugging it with all his might. "I love it so much."
His Daddy chuckles. "I bet you do. Now, let's see what you'd like to get for you and your new bunny."
Taehyung watches Yoongi as he turns to see the assortment of candies that the establishment has to offer. Yoongi didn't care much for chocolate, it was too sweet for him. The sour belts were his favorite, a combination of both sour and sweet. He was struggling to place them in the bag, so Taehyung had to take over for him. He felt a bit embarrassed about it, but he was also happy that his Daddy decided to help instead of letting him struggle. They also grabbed five Baby Bottle Pops, the best candy for when he was feeling little. Lastly, a few packages of Skittles were also added, since the both of them enjoyed the rainbow candy. Yoongi loved to sort them by color before he ate them. After everything was paid for, he immediately went to dig the bunny plushie out of the bag.
As they drove home, the little made sure to hold the bunny tight to his chest, keeping it safe while they drove. He wasn't sure what he'd name it, he was never really great at naming his plushies. Some of them didn't even have any because he couldn't figure out a good name. When they arrived back to their house, Yoongi immediately placed the bunny with his small collection of plushies, most of them gifted to him by Taehyung. Those were the ones that had the most sentimental value, ones that had a story behind them.
While they were in their room, Taehyung helped pick out a onesie for the little to change into now that he's home. Yoongi wanted to wear the pupperoni pizza onesie that recently came in, featuring puppies and pepperoni pizza, some pups even having a pizza in their mouth. He thought is was super cute and combined two of his favorite things: dogs and pizza.
He sat on their bed as Taehyung put the onesie over his head, bringing it down so he could get into it. Once that was done, he lowered himself onto his back so that his Daddy could close the clasps and secure the onesie onto him. He enjoyed being dressed by his caregiver. It made him feel so loved and cared for. Taehyung liked doing it because he knew how much the little favored it, but he also felt like it was his responsibility. After all, what kind of Daddy would let his baby dress up themselves?
He looked at his little and smiled when he was done. "You look real cute, baby." Yoongi blushed at the statement. He still was pretty bad at taking compliments, little or not, but especially when he's big.
"Thank you, Daddy." He says, cheeks pink.
Taehyung takes a seat next to him. "You're welcome." He reaches forward to push the hair out of Yoongi's eyes. "So what would my baby like to do now that we're home?"
The little ponders the question, deep in thought. "Mmm... can we watch some Adventure Time and eat some snackies?" Although he phrases it like a question, they both know the answer.
"Of course." Since his boyfriend's feeling little, Taehyung motions for the male to climb onto his back. He's given a piggyback ride to their living room. Once at the couch, he's gently lowered down. Yoongi loves when his Daddy picks him up and carries him or gives him a piggyback ride. It never fails to make him happy. Taehyung never fails to make him happy.
As he busies himself with getting comfy and wrapping himself up in a blanket, Taehyung retreats to the kitchen, heading to the fridge and pantry to find some appropriate snacks. There's already washed strawberries in the fridge, so he grabs it. In the pantry, there's a bag of white cheddar popcorn. He thinks they'll be good contrasts to each other. One salty, one sweet.
When he comes back to Yoongi, he finds that the tv's already turned on and showing Adventure Time. Before placing the snacks on the table in front of the couch, he turns off the lights in the room.
He settles down next to Yoongi as they continue watching from where they had left off a few nights ago. It isn't long until the little lays down on him, placing his head on his caregiver's thigh. Taehyung reaches to brush through Yoongi's hair. He relishes nights like these. The nights when he gets to be close to his baby. Every so often, he grabs a piece of popcorn and pops it into the little's mouth.
They're halfway into their fourth episode of the night when Taehyung notices that Yoongi's fallen asleep. He had stayed up the entire night before working on his mixtape, so Taehyung isn't surprised to see that he fell asleep early. Gently pushing the male's head off his leg, he leaves to places the snacks back where they belong. He comes back to Yoongi afterward, removing the blanket from his small body. Sliding his arms underneath the little, he picks the sleeping boy up, cradling him. The action stirs him a bit, as Yoongi wakes up for a few seconds to snuggle closer to Taehyung's neck.
He's brought back to their bedroom and gingerly set down onto the bed. Surprisingly, he isn't brought out of his slumber. Taehyung slides himself into bed as well. He brings the blanket over them before softly pushing Yoongi's body closer to his. The little doesn't wake, but it's almost as if he can sense that he's wanted because he moves himself to the caregiver, cuddling into him. Taehyung drapes his arm protectively over the little.
As he feels the little's body rise up and down with each breath, Taehyung thinks about the day they had together. It was nice. Usually Yoongi would only feel little at home, so it was a good change to see him being himself in public. He was always cute, but he definitely was cutest when he's in little space.
Taehyung was so happy to be the Daddy of such a wonderful little. Before he closes his eyes that night, he makes sure to give a kiss to Yoongi's forehead, following it up with a whispered, "I love you."
