Rey was training blindfolded, the yellow blades flashing in the dark as she swung at the remote droid. She was a wonder to him, all fierceness and fire no matter how many times she was hit. She never seemed to give up, even with all she had been through. And he doubted she had told him even half of the tragedies of her short life.
“How’s it going?”
His hand reached for his chest, his heart pounding so hard the sound of the blood rushing deafened him. “Kark, Finn!” he hissed. “The war isn’t over, I can’t afford to have a heart attack!”
Finn rolled his eyes, moving closer. And catching sight of Rey. “We won, Poe.”
“Tell that to the senators,” he snorted. “Leia never told me-”
“When are you gonna stop stalling and ask her out already?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he huffed.
Finn sighed before forcibly turning him to face his friend. “You like her,” Finn teased, refusing to let him go. “Do something about it or I’m going to have to, Poe.”
“I-”
“No, I will lock you two in a room if it’ll stop you both from pining.”
“But … wait? Both?”
“Yep.”
