Tēctus

Summary:

Izuku likes to travel to new places.

He loved how he could control what others see in him, and when noone knows him, it's a clean slate.

Enter; Akatani Mikumo

Notes:

Midoriya was an open book, an easy target.

But when he puts on his dark baggy clothes, cover his hair with his toque,

he no longer can be held down for being the only quirkless kid, he won't be the plain deku that he is back home.

So who could blame him for going out at dark, exploring Japan at night?

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue;Introduction

Chapter Text

Izuku huffed as he landed the jump from building to building,

Taking a moment, he went to the farthest end, away from the next building, before full sprinting

He jumped at the last second and grabbed the ledge of the taller building.

Pulling himself completely up, he decided to sit on the ledge and over looked the city, watching the light turn off slowly, while others shine brighter.

He slid his backpack on the ledge next to him. He took out a granola bar and began munching on it, rocking his feet back and forth.

It wasn't a school night so he hadn't been forced to do his homework right away, instead deciding to do it tomorrow.

It wasn't a long time ago he started this enigma people grown to know as Akatani, only two years.

Of course he had been going outside his house for longer, almost 5 years, but people are just now putting together the one and the same.

Akatani's name was founded after several... accidents, that caused him to be found in alleyways with several people knocked out.

And the first few times coincidentally happened to be the days he hurt his arms and bandaged it up,

and him moving his arm around, knocking the people out, led it to bleed a second time.

So, yes, he was found in an alleyway, next to three old big drunk men, with blood dripping down his arm on to the concrete.

He really hopes the hero, a newer hero, wasn't that traumatized, seeing as they seemed to freak out. But he also thanked kami, as it was the only reason he was able to run away, un-caught.

Finishing up the granola bar, he continued to watch over the city.

He felt how the wind was picking up, blowing in a cold breeze. It was howling but not loud enough to cover
the sharp yelp of pain a few buildings over.

He hesitated for a moment, he isn't trying to save people- but everywhere he went there was so much crime! So who could really fault him for just trying to help other fellow citizens out?

Wasn't he just being a good person, helping others?

Besides, he can't be a hero. So it wasn't like he was acting like one, or was actually a hero!

After hearing another call for help, he quickly left towards the sound, taking out the pepper spray and staff with a taser taped to the end.

He isn't a hero, but he can atleast try to be a good citizen.
