Chapter Text
Two households, both alike in dignity.
One serene and loving, well-off and secure.
The other filled with violence and morbidity.
What was to become of the mother and her child: no one was ever sure.
One household sought sanctuary in the other, for years upon years.
For they each held a child, both alike in their selfish pride.
One felt she must care for the other, and grew to him through shared tears.
A love that set itself apart from any other, that for the first time, made him feel things inside.
They clung to that feeling out of desperation.
But one said to the other he would leave her.
And as his depression worsened, so did their communication.
He still hesitated to believe her.
So when a new girl caught his eye,
He didn’t wait long to wrench the girl’s heart from her chest, to in the end, make her cry.
