EVEN EYES DESERVE KISSES
Your eyes slowly opened as a yawn escaped you. One of your hands was resting on a chest and you smiled as you recognized your boyfriend’s. He was fast asleep and from the silence on the ship you could tell that everyone else was as well. It was still far too early to face a real awakening.
As you were about to fall back asleep, your head resting on Zoro’s chest, your eyes were drawn to the sight of the swordsman’s relaxed face. It was such a rare sight for you, a bit out of the ordinary. Zoro was rarely smiling or relaxed. he has to look after everyone, after all.
But here, sleep softened him. His features were relaxed and he seemed to be in deep, pleasant dreams. So gently, you placed a delicate hand on his cheek. You gently caressed his skin, and straightened up a little to get to his level. Your hands ran through his hair, massaging his scalp and enjoying its softness. His warm body was against yours and so you both created a cozy cocoon.
Your tired petting didn’t seem to bother him so you continued, enjoying the quiet on the boat. Soon fatigue caught up with you and your eyes were already falling asleep again. Then gently, you placed a soft, gentle kiss on your lover’s scarred eyelid. You loved his scar more than anything else, and while he was sleeping in such a relaxed way, it seemed to you to be the most suitable place for a kiss.
Then, you quickly fell back asleep at his side without seeing the sweet smile that had been painted on Zoro’s face.
