Work Text:
Tartaglia, God of Weapons & Strength.
A God who fought tooth and nail for what he got and to rule over his domain, so how could he be so ready to just give it up for some mortal.
He stayed high in The Heavens watching the blonde as she explored the city at night and he just felt himself yearn for her as if he never experienced these feelings before. There was just something about her that made him descend from the Heavens just to meet her.
Lumine loved the city, especially at night, since it seemed to come alive. So most nights she spent in the harbor with Paimon right at her side.
She didn’t mind when the other girl went off on her own to the food stands since they always knew to meet at the fountain at midnight, one at the lastest.
As she walked she laid her eyes on him. A beautiful stranger. Yet the way he stood there it seemed as if he was waiting for her to notice him.
“I’m Childe.” He introduced himself as if he was waiting for her to already know him.
“Lu-Lumine,” she never stutters nor feels her heart beat this fast.
So they went walking around together, neither one not saying too much, but yet it was as if they already knew each other.
When he brought up about leaving the city she quickly sent Paimon a text to just leave whenever and not wait for her.
His idea of leaving the city though was to go a very hilly field a few miles away.
Once they finally sat on a very high hill that seemed to over look everything, they finally started to talk.
He just gazed at her while she spoke, sometimes she’d catch his gaze and blush.
‘She’s really cute.’
When she looked up at him and how the moonlight seemed to make him glow, she felt a million butterflies and just wanted to admire him.
Hell she felt like at times she should just worship him.
“Like what you see, Girlie?”
She jumped as her face burned.
“It’s ok, I also like to admire beautiful things too.”
He kissed her cheek.
As she turned her head to look up at him, she could feel his lips on her’s.
This is her first kiss with a stranger… a very handsome and mysterious stranger.
They kissed for a long time and she didn’t mind when he started to kiss her neck or leave her covered his marks.
She’d give herself to him in a heartbeat.
After a while he pulled away, not wanting to go too far and ruin things.
She just looked at him with a look of need.
Just for one night he could allow himself to feel human while she allowed herself to feel like a god.
She laid on top of him, not ever wanting this night to end.
“You’re so handsome,” she whispered as she admired his features.
His eyes seemed to match the starry night sky.
“Do you ever feel special?”
Her question took him by surprise without him unable to think of a quick answer.
“Special how?”
“It’s almost as if you’re not… real… I mean you seem to hold the sky in your eyes and you’re just so damn charming,”
He just kissed her cheek.
“I think I might be falling in love with you.”
How could he tell her he was just around for the night?
“Come with me.”
Now where was he taking her and why did she happily agree without a second thought.
Her eyes widen when he seemed to glow and how the small scars along his body seemed to shine like little stars.
“I can make you feel like a goddess, Lumine, if you just take my hand and that way we can always be together.”
So she took his hand as he lead her up to his domain in The Heavens where they’d reside as The God of Weapons & Strength and The Goddess of Starlight.
