Author's note/Fanfic Info:
Hello, my lovely readers! I feel like I should mention this so I will - I intend for this fanfic to be a slow-burn!! I adore slow-burn fanfics so you already know I've got to write one myself! This beginning chapter serves as a world-building chapter, as well as an introductory chapter to introduce characters I have added to the book, as well as your own powers and information about the planet/realm you came from! That way we can avoid any confusion as the book goes on. I have attached sketches I did myself (THE IMAGES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE ON MY WATTPAD RIP), as well as images I took inspiration from when creating your planet! Let's get into it, shall we?
Where the Story begins/what in the MCU is canon and not canon in this fanfic:
Everything after Ragnarok simply does not exist <3 Everyone is alive and well, Thanos never happened and Loki is alive. New Asgard is currently located in Norway as the Asgardian refugees take shelter there. Thor rules with the help of Loki, Valkyrie, and Lady Sif (who luckily found her way to New Asgard and is well. <33) However, Norway is much different from what the Asgardian's are used to.
Information about Y/N and your species:
- From a planet called Ehiria.
- From this planet, its inhabitants are comparable to Elves, Nymphs, and Fae. Divided into groups you have the common folk, being elvish like creatures with no magic. Those with magic have been compared to Nymphs, however, they are not. They are simply Elves who can wield magic. People in Ehiria call them many names, such as witches, mages, sorcerers, etc. They have become quite rare to find nowadays, as most have died. Those with Royal Blood/belonging to the Royal family have wings. That is the only major physical difference. Y/N, being royalty, has wings.
- These wings can change colours, sometimes due to mood changes, weather, to match their surroundings, or simply to match an outfit. It can be changed by will. They have an iridescent quality to them.
- The longer the ears, the more beautiful the individual is according to Ehirian beauty standards. This is due to those with Royal and Noble Lineage having longer, pointed ears.
- A quality that is incredibly rare, even among Royal Lineage, is the ability to draw out claws. This means the ability to grow sharp, claw-like nails at will. Due to its rarity, it is a feared ability as it is considered a weapon that cannot be confiscated or calculated. The length of nails varies, mostly depending on its user's emotions - hence the unpredictability. Considered an unladylike ability and frowned upon as it insinuates a violent, 'untamed' personality.
Your Powers:
Many magical abilities!!
- Charming (the ability to make anyone do as you say for a short period of time just with the use of eye contact and verbal communication.)
- Illusions (major illusions only work on yourself though, changing your appearance and whatnot. Can also do minor changes on other people, like casting a small illusion to change someone else's ears.)
- Healing (of course you cannot bring a dead person back to life but you can heal wounds, dying plants, and such.)
- Decay (this is one your mother used you for. By simply touching someone/something living or radiating a force field of specific magical energy, you can decay what's around you to a certain extend. In other words, you cause death. Excruciating death.)
- The claw ability that was mentioned earlier!
- Flying! which was also mentioned earlier. You have wings that can be tucked away into your back when not in use. (Random fun fact lol the wings I drew below are designs I have for a back tattoo I plan on getting - only the lineart though not the coloured versions. I've been obsessed with wings lately.)
- Venom (your canine teeth and nails secrete a poison similar to that of belladonna/deadly nightshade. If you arent aware of the reactions it can cause here they are according to wiki: dilated pupils, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, tachycardia (abnormally rapid heart rate), loss of balance, staggering, headache, rash, flushing, severely dry mouth and throat, slurred speech, urinary retention, constipation, confusion, hallucinations, delirium, and convulsions.) You are also able to summon thorny vines that secrete the same venom when pricked!)
Your Weapon:
A spine-type sword built from the spine of an ancient dragon an ancestor of yours had slaughtered. Not only can it serve its purpose as a sword, but it can elongate and be used as a very sharp whip. It can be drawn out and returned to your back, as if merging with your actual spine, making it easy to access and hide.
Introducing Characters:
Illiana: She is your sister figure. Younger than you and full of life and excitement. Sometimes childish behaviour. Curly, thick, ginger hair that length goes until under her breasts. Deep blue, doe-like eyes, medium-length ears, rosy cheeks, and freckles. Worked with her mother/your mother figure (Lorelai) as maids that served you. Although you never treated her as a maid and would constantly go off to play with her in the woods (despite being told not to.) She has hidden magical abilities that only you and Lorelai knew of - can manipulate water to an extent.
Lorelai: Your mother figure. Your birth mother was always too busy to take care of you and would constantly abuse you and only call upon you in order to use your powers to her advantage. Lorelai on the other hand was the complete opposite, showing you motherly affection and raising you as if you were her own child (most likely due to the fact that you reminded her of her eldest daughter who passed away in the war.) Similar features to Illiana, curly, short ginger hair that was starting to grey at the roots. Deep blue eyes and smile lines.
Alistair: Golden Boy was a nickname you and Illiana gave him. He's Illiana's cousin, his parents perished in the war as well, so Lorelai took him in. Older than you by a year, and older than Illiana by a year, he always took it upon himself to protect the two of you (even though you both could protect yourselves just fine.) Incredible swordsmanship and fighting talent. This did not go unnoticed by your birth mother, and he was taken in to become a knight. Long, wavy, ashen blond hair that he keeps in a high ponytail. Piercing golden eyes, medium-long ears, and a tall slim to semi-muscular build.
Eleanora: Your birth mother. For physical appearance, I'm leaving the sketch to a blank as she is supposed to look almost exactly like you. An older, scarier version of you will. However, her hair (whether straight, curly, wavy, braided, etc) is incredibly long - down to her ankles, and is adorned by golden beads and clips (along with her crown of course.) Piercing eyes, and a strong, prideful demeanour.
The Realm of Ehiria:
These next images are what I imagine Ehiria to look like. Most of these I got off of Pinterest. I just wanted to display the overall atmosphere of the place. SINCE NO IMAGES ARE SUPPORTED HERE TO MY KNOWLEDGE I;LL JUST ADD A QUICK WATTPAD LINK LOL.

The castle I imagine would look very similar to the style of Carmilla's castle in Styria from the videogame and animated Netflix series Castlevania (if you haven't watched it I highly recommend it!! I love Alucard so much and I feel like you all will too.) Of course, Ehiria does not have a snowy atmosphere like Styria, only the castle architecture would appear the same.
