"Hey man," Jeshua drawls, "can I borrow your board?"
Mortified, looking out to sea, Lucifer jams his hands deeper into his jeans pockets. His companion looks nothing like a surfer, in his white embroidered flea market kurta and silk pants, but the surfer dude at the Hilton Beach bar seems to seriously consider him. Gauging the measure of Jeshua's craziness, more like.
"There's no surf today, man," the guy balks. "Not even down at Ha'Maravi."
Jeshua smiles, reaching for the board. "Then we'll just have to see about that."
Lucifer watches, and wonders. Was a time he couldn't tempt Him.
