I hate it.
She's staring, they're staring.
I can take Derek's eyes staring at my soul.
But..
I can't take her eyes, looking at me..
Staring at me.
Like she saw me naked.
I know, I'm straight.. I am. I am straight. Sadie is just an experiment. I am straight. But damn, she makes me questioned my gender when she licked her lips while looking at me. The way she brushed her arms on mine when we passed each other some charts. The way she say my name.
I'm fucked up, again.
I blushed at that thought. I rushed towards the office of I don't know who. All I want is to be somewhere else.
I sighed when I saw Derek entered, with his dreamy eyes. “Leave, please..” I pleaded, he was staring at me. He took one step forward, I shook my head.
“Derek.. Please..” I said, not looking at his eyes.
“Why? Meredith.. I am divorced.. We are free to do whatever we want,” He asked softly, I can't..
“I.. Can't.. Don't look at me.. Just go..” my voice cracked.
They are divorced?!
Derek hold my elbow, I jumped a bit. I pushed him away, I shook my head.
“What's wrong? I thought we are okay.. You are the love of my life..” he said, I laughed on his face.
“We are not okay,” I said. ‘I'm not okay’
“Why? I left her for you,” He said, my blood boiled. I glared at him.
“You left your 11 years wife for me?! Wow! What do you want me to feel huh? Happy? Huh?!” I burst out, Derek looked at me.
“What is wrong with you?! Yes! I left Addison for you! I left her because I love you..” he said, I shook my head.
“Then 10 years after I choose to be with you, and you will go away and you will find younger than me,” I said, he hissed and grabbed my wrist.
“She cheated on me!” he said, I scoff.
“You cheated on her using me!” I shouted on his face. Derek looked at me with disbelief.
“Why are you defending her?” he asked, I let my tears fall, I smiled sadly, “I fell in love with your ex-wife..” His jaw dropped.
“What did you just said?” he asked, still not believing on what I said, neither am I.
“I. AM. IN. LOVE. WITH. YOUR. EX. GORGEOUS. LEGGY. SMART. AMAZING. WIFE.” I said while looking straight on his eyes.
Pain crossed his eyes, he clenched his jaw before he can grab me again..
We both looked at the door when someone gasped.
My eyes widened, No.. No..
Addison was staring at us, her hand is on her mouth, I can see tears falling on her eyes.
I removed my heels, Derek grabbed my arm, I pulled it.
“Meredith!” he shouted, I never looked back.
I run towards the door, Addison was crying, shit. She ran away.
“Addie! No!” I shouted. She ran in the middle crowd. I was looking around, I can't find her.
I jumped on the stage, I can't lose her.
All eyes are on me.
I grabbed the mic on the host's hand.
“Addison Adrianne Forbes Montgomery!” I said as I breath in.
“I am Meredith Grey, I know some of you knew about me,” I smile sadly, I looked around looking for her.
“I am the woman who's been screwing Addison's husband,” I said, I heard gasped and others are whispering.
“I never knew that he had a wife, he never told me,” I said, I saw Addison in the middle of the crowd, stunned while looking at me. I smiled, I take the stairs. “He never told me about this wife of him, who is smart,” I said, Cristina was smiling at me and nodding her head.
“She is the wonderwoman of those mothers in labor,” I chuckles a bit and took some steps, the crowd's giving me a way towards Addison. The spotlight was on me, but all I can see is Addison, my focus was on her. Only her.
“She never treated me like I am the mistress of his husband,” I said, I heard Derek shouting but I refuse to listen.
“Dr. Webber told me to follow my heart, this is my life, I thought Derek was the love of my life, but the moment..” I trailed, I stopped a few meters away from Addison, “..my eyes laid on you, I knew something is wrong with my heart. When you look at me, my heart wants to come out on my body. You make my knees melt when you smile at me,” I felt my tears fall.
“When Derek said, he chose you.. I was jealous, I told you right? You said, I am jealous because you have him, but the truth is.. I am jealous because he have you..” I said while holding the mic.
“I hate it because he has the rights but he never treasured you, like he left you.. But here I am on the side of your spotlight.. Trying to act like I don't care but.. I can't..” I said as I stare at Addison.
“You are now divorced. You are free. But I am not happy about it, because.. Many men can have you now. They are free to have you, I want you to be mine.. I want to mark you as mine. I want to shout to the world that I am in love with you, Addi---” my eyes widened when Addison ran towards me, cupped my cheeks and placed her lips towards mine.
I heard gasped, awe and crying around me. But.. I don't care. I hold her waist and deepened the kiss.
We pulled away, catching out breaths.
I smiled, “Will you date me tomorrow night, Addison Adrianne Forbes Montgomery?” I asked, she laughed and nodded her head. “I will, Meredith Catherine Grey,” I smiled and hugged her.
“THIS CAN'T BE!” I heard Derek said, we look on him, Addison hold my hand and look at him.
“This is the reality, Derek. We can be, you can love a person no matter who she is, and gender doesn't matter when it comes to this, to us,” Addison said, I put the mic on the table, and we ran away.
I am laughing while running with Addison. We stopped in the middle of the parking lot under the rain, she was laughing---we are laughing.
I don't even know what's funny, but seeing her this happy makes me happy too.
“I love you..” I said, her eyes widened and looked at me. “I know,” she said, I chuckles.
“You said that when you are high in morphine,” my jaw dropped, “You also kissed me,” she giggle as I blushed.
“And.. I love you too,” she said and smiled.
“I used to hate rain before, but you gave me enough reason to love it,” she said and smiled.
I chuckles and grabbed her waist, “We need to go now, I don't want you to have fever tomorrow,” I said, she cupped my cheeks using her and and rubbed my nose using her thumb.
“I left my car on the trailer,” she said, I smirked and on cue, one car stopped in front of us.
“Let's go, Ladies,” Addison was so shocked, Bailey winked at us.
We both went inside the backseat, Cristina was smirking at me. “Seatbelt, lovebirds!” Cristina said, Bailey drives too fast.
“Why do Bailey's driving?” Addison asked, “Because I am not drunk, and I am the Nazi,” we all laughed at her answer.
“I owe her this one,” I said, Bailey chuckles and Addison kissed my cheeks.
“Richard said you need a driver and since Yang was annoying, I let her command me to drive,” Bailey said, Cristina laughed.
“I have a secret of hers, I used it tonight,” Cristina said, I smirked and pulled something on my purse, Cristina smile widely, “I think this is the pay for this, Altman's number,” I said.
Bailey and Addison gasped, “YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON TEDDY?!” they both asked.
