Summary:

Work Text:

Feeling his warm body against his tortured skin felt nice.

A skin no one would ever love.

Not even Keigo.

Feeling his soft breath and the paced movement of his chest next to his face was reassuring.

An ugly face no one wanted around. It was hideous.

Even for Keigo.

He was so loveable. But Dabi couldn't love him. He was a villain. Villains had no feelings. They were empty. Fucking psychos. And Keigo was everything.

And still, Dabi would have given Keigo all of his love, every night they had spent together. He would have done that instead of having rough and cold sex as they had done for the past four months.

Throwing a gaze at him, Dabi's heart ached, having too late realized he would leave before hurting Keigo.

The hero's face was beautiful, soft expression, soft skin, pretty eyes, even when they were closed.

Was it right to want to hold him? As he had been doing the previous night. And the night before that.

Dabi shook his head and stood up from the king sized bed they were lying on. Having left some cash over the nightstand, he walked away.

“Touya.”

His voice echoed through the room.

“I'm leaving.” he said, trying to hide all the emotions that lied beneath those words.

“Before that” Keigo had stood up, keeping a certain distance from the other man though. “Can't we talk?”

“No need to.”

“I do.”

“Go on then.” Dabi looked him in the eye. It was hard to keep a poker face like that.

“Just why?”

Dabi looked him in confusion.

“Why do we keep doing this?”

“It's fun.”

“Not just fun.” Keigo argued. “It's not fun to me anymore. I don't want to keep doing this.”

Dabi kept his composure. “How comes you don't?”

“You know why.” Keigo took a step forward. “It's painful.”

“Not my problem.”

Keigo bit his lip.

“Don't toy with me anymore.” Dabi could have sworn Keigo's eyes were watery. “Because I don't want to be friends with benefits. It might have been-”

“Shut up.” Dabi talked. And by the tone of his voice, Keigo knew something was off.

“Listen to me, Touya.” Dabi shivered. “Please. I know you know. Since a lot ago. I want to take it one step further, okay?” he stuttered. “Can't we?”

The name Touya only had a certain impact on Dabi when Keigo said it. It made him feel like he belonged somewhere. It brought him back to when they first met. It made him feel loved. And Touya hated it.

“Sorry. We can't.”

Keigo's expression turned sad. He was dissapointed.

“But I want to.” he refused.

“I don't.”

“Just why?! Why do you keep toying with me? I don't intend to keep going with this fuck buddies thing, so-”

“I'm seeing someone else.”

It hurted them. Dabi as well as Keigo.

“I see.” the blond nervously laughed. “Don't worry then. You won't be seeing me ever again.”

Touya turned his back on him.

Because he didn't want to hurt Keigo. Because he was unstable. Because he wasn't even a person anymore. Because no one would ever love him. Because Keigo was an angel, and he felt like a monster.

Because of all of that, Dabi left.

He left both of them with a broken heart. One that could only be fixed by the other.
