Chloe wasn't sure what she'd been thinking. Marrying Lucifer was the decision she wasn't second guessing, asking Maze to be her maid of honor, on the other hand…
Chloe looked around the wedding dress shop trying to find anything that she might consider. Suddenly, a dress literally jumped out at her. "What about this one?" Maze held up a wide ball gown with lace sleeves and crystals on the bodice and a ten foot train.
Chloe blinked as she got her thoughts together. "That looks heavy to hold, let alone wear. It's huge! Didn't think you'd be one for a princess gown."
Maze scoffed. "You're marrying God, you need something spectacular!"
Ashley, the sales woman, laughed slightly. "I wish my best friend thought of my husband so highly," she chimed in. Maze shoved the dress at her to put back since Chloe turned it down.
Ella, Linda and Trixie watched the show play out. "Lucifer and I think Step-Devil sounds more badass than Step-God," Trixie announced once the sales lady walked away to put the dress back. "Or badbutt," she amended off her mother's glare.
Maze dragged Chloe by the hand to a mannequin that had a dress with a see through lace bodice under the chest cups a slit up the left leg. "You went from the Royal Wedding to half a dress," Chloe replied.
"It does look like wedding dress lingerie," Linda added.
Ella went over to it and grabbed the tag. "It's twenty-five thousand dollars!"
Maze rolled her eyes. "Lucifer can afford it. This is the wedding of… every lifetime."
"It's neither of our first weddings," Chloe countered.
"Fine. This will be my dress."
"You can't wear white!" Ella replied.
"I'm going to make someone dye it black, after all my bouquet is going to be bound in black leather." Maze was distracted by the sound of her phone getting a text message.
"Oh! Look at this mirror ball made of my favorite Hell throwing stars! It's going to reflect off the chandeliers so well."
Chloe stared at the picture on Maze's phone. "This isn't the seventies! We don't need a mirror ball. Also, what chandeliers?"
"The ones Lucifer and I ordered."
Linda downed some complimentary champagne. "There are mirror balls of weapons in hell?" Linda asked. She whispered even though Maze had been loud their entire outing.
Maze rolled her eyes. "Of course not. I'm forcing Lucifer's siblings to make them for the reflection. They're basically my elves now." Maze scoffed. "I don't know why I watched that with you and Charlie, Trixie, Santa should have been made to grovel on his knees to that Reindeer. Lucifer needs to produce a holiday special that teaches kids about proper revenge."
"Lucifer needs to tell me why he's ordering chandeliers for Lux without telling me," Chloe corrected.
Ashley the sales girl returned with the cap sleeve white gown with silver beading from the sleeves to the waist with a chiffon sheath skirt. "Lux? I love that place. You're marrying that Lucifer? You're so lucky! I love his singing, though he hasn't been there much lately."
"See! This is a big deal that needs new chandeliers," Maze jumped in. "Also we should consider a chocolate fountain, but only instead of chocolate, chocolate martinis."
"That sounds amazing!" Ashley replied. "I wish my husband and Maid Of Honor collaborated when we got married. Neither did much."
"You're invited," Maze declared. "But we might change venues if there are too many guests."
"So you can count on the venue change," Ella countered.
"I want a chocolate fountain," Trixie declared. "Only one of the cake tiers are going to be chocolate."
"Each tier has to be a different flavor, we can't have guests disappointed in only one kind," Maze stated.
"Am I allowed to try this dress on or is that a faux pas?" Chloe asked.
"Go on," Maze allowed.
Chloe ended up buying that dress, and Maze bought the other to dye black, and late that night she and Trixie went over to the penthouse. "Spawn-Via-Association-To-Be, there's gelato in the kitchen. I was in Italy today," Lucifer said after they arrived. Trixie was in the kitchen before he could even get to the Italy part.
"Official God business?" Chloe asked.
"Tuxedo shopping."
"You're allowed to pick out clothes without Maze's approval?"
"She's not my Maid Of Horror."
"Any chance you want to have a second Vegas elopement?"
"No. You can't repeat the same wedding twice. That's distasteful." Lucifer smirked. "If you'd prefer I could see if Mom can make another appearance from her world to help you."
"NO!" Chloe rubbed her temple. "Don't even joke about that. I can't believe Maze is so into a wedding."
"She takes all of her jobs very seriously. She's literally from Hell, what were you expecting? All of my siblings are terrified of the mirror ball not meeting her standards, as they should be."
"Wait until you see her dress."
Trixie came back into the living room area with a large bowl of different flavor gelatos. "Can I ask Maze if they have gelato cakes, like ice cream cakes?" she asked.
"Better yet, make your own gelato sundae bar," Lucifer decided.
"YEAH! We're doing that whether Maze wants to or not."
"Not a single one of my siblings would make such a brave declaration."
"One of these days we should actually pick a date," Chloe pointed out.
"It'll work itself out. Let's just have fun with it," Lucifer answered.
"Fun. Right." Chloe looked at her phone to see Maze was sending a barrage of centerpiece pictures. The sooner the better, then she could get back to normal life with God, without the demonic wedding planning.
A.N: I hope you all enjoyed this short one-shot. I'll probably be putting up all of my Lucifer works (this was just a one shot) so I hope you'll want to read more. Thanks for reading!
