Cold air blew against Ladybug's face, but she knew that she hated penguins and hoped beyond hope that there was never a penguin miraculous. She couldn't get the sound of Penguin out of her head, but the little waddling things doing his bidding creeped her out.
" And to think. Batman rarely invites outsiders here, and I get invited but here I am huddling in a corner trying to avoid the penguins because I... " Ladybug buried her face in her arms. "I'm afraid of penguins."
"Really?"
Ladybug's head darted up, finding herself eye to eye with Robin. She gasped out. He smiled at her, but at that moment he was far more than Nightwing, the perpetual charmer that the darker of the birds was, and held out his hand. She almost grabbed the hand, but then hesitated. "What are you doing?"
"Wrap your hands around my neck and I'll carry you out?" Robin continued to grin.
"Yeah, but." She narrowed her eyes. "Are you going to tell me that it's not wrong to be afraid?"
"No. I'm going to say it is completely wrong, but if you weren't afraid I couldn't be acting as your knight in shining armor at this moment."
" Why do I have the feeling you're going to use this against me later on?"
"Because, you and Nightwing both tease me all the time, and getting to have something upon you..."
"Don't you dare throw penguin toys at me!"
"Don't give me ideas."
