Lindsey scowled at the man across the table from him, taking in his cocky smirk. Nope, this was not the quick, quiet yawn of a job that Angel had promised him when he had agreed to do a short sideways trip to Beacon Hills. This guy was going to be trouble with a capital T and Lindsey was not up for this shit. He wanted to make up for some of his misdeeds by working with Angel Investigations – not get involved with a pack of god-damn werewolves.
“Mr Hale – “
“Oh Peter, please. I can tell we’re going to get intimately acquainted so we might as start as we mean to go on.” Hale flashed his shimmering blue eyes at Lindsey.
“Mr Hale – “
“Ooh, feisty, I like it!”
“Why were you trespassing on Argent land?”
“That land rightfully belongs to Satomi Ito – I was merely doing some reconnaissance into what it would take to get it back.”
“Mr Hale – Gerard Argent wants to prosecute - “
“You mean persecute!”
“Whatever! Just – let me do the talking and don’t make this harder than it needs to be!”
“Oh believe me, Mr McDonald, it is hard enough already!”
“Angel doesn’t pay me enough for this!”
