Fox's ear twitched to the gentle sound of Panther's quiet snoring. He watched his partner's back rise and fall to his breathing and gently held him as he slept in his arms, smiling gladly at the tenderness of the moment.
The two were situated on the couch; Fox had been laying down for a few minutes, and Panther walked over and crawled in, laying on him and resting his head on Fox's chest. It was a little chilly in the early hours of the morning, so Fox pulled the warm blanket that Panther laid on the back of the couch over his shoulders. It wasn't long before the flirtatious feline had fallen into slumber, with the morning sun shining through his window and landing exactly on his sleepy face, casting a soft glow.
Fox couldn't help but smile. The two had been together for two months, and after their fourth date, had spent a lot more time with each other. Gifts from Panther decorated Fox's shelves and walls, and even a framed photo from a particularly special date hung on his wall. It was the two of them, sitting on a park bench in front of a large fountain. Fox was leaning on Panther's shoulder, and the two were smiling wide. Behind them, meteors showered the horizon, and the night sky was lit up with beautiful purple and blue hues.
Fox loved that photo. It wasn't often that he hung up photos, much less took them, but the story behind it is something Fox would always remember.

It was a beautiful starry night. No clouds were in the sky, and Panther wanted to go out, and so he and Fox went on a simple walk around Corneria's streets. It wasn't anything too fancy, but it was comfortable. Fox felt more in his element in casual situations, and even if Panther loved his moonlit dinners, he accommodated for Fox's comfort often with simple dates too.
The two talked for what seemed like hours, chatting about whatever came to mind and making notes of interesting places to visit when they were actually open during the day.
After a long while of talking, Panther told Fox the real reason he had taken him for a walk; a meteor shower was supposed to happen that night. The two, excited to see the event, walked over to a nearby park. Lucky for them, it was entirely empty, and the two sat down on a bench, eyes skyward.
It wasn't long before the dazzling lights began, and Fox was amazed. He hadn't watched a meteor shower in years, and having been able to spend it with Panther made it all the better. Panther pulled out his phone, and Fox leaned on him. That's when he snapped the photo of the two.

Fox smiled at the memory, and then smiled more when he looked down at Panther once more. He felt like his heart was about to burst with joy.
"Hey, Panther?" Fox whispered as silently as he could, "I know you aren't awake, but…"
"I love you so much."
