"Okay, we have to pick something." Marinette barely held her giggles in as Kim tried to continue their earlier game of who's more ticklish. Obviously, she won that one, or rather, lost as he knew all her hot spots. "Our friends are expecting something good for the next group date. We are not going to disappoint them."
She shot him a pointed look when he would've gone in for another ticklish spot, stopping him in his tracks.
His head dropped in defeat and rested on her shoulder, which he couldn't resist pressing a kiss against before meeting her gaze with a roguish grin. "How about a game night? We haven't done that in a while."
"Hm," she tapped her cheek, "that could work. Do you think we have enough games here or should I ask Adrien and Max to bring some? I know Max has a new game he's working on. Maybe we could test it out for him."
He hummed as his focus shifted from tickling to teasing her with kisses. More rained down on her shoulder and traveled onto her collarbone, exploring the exposed skin there until he reached her opposite shoulder.
"Kim, are you listening?" She tried to huff at him, but her own focus dwindled a bit as he made the return trek across her collarbone. After a few moments, she managed to push him back and frown at him. "You're not being helpful."
The roguish grin remained though he did sink back, allowing the distance to remain between them. "Alright. Max's game would be cool, but I was thinking more like Pictionary or perhaps Trivial Pursuit. I think I have a few card decks, too, so we could play poker or war. Alix still owes me from last time."
"No more crazy bets, you hear me? I don't want to spend the night in the hospital like last time." She made sure he heard the warning in her words, her gaze locked with his as she wagged her finger at him.
He held his hand like one would when testifying in court and pledging to tell the truth. "I swear. Alix and I called a truce to our crazy bets. Nathaniel about had a fit with both of us after last time. It took Marc over an hour to calm him down."
"He wasn't the only one upset, either," she grumbled, her arms crossing over her chest. She shoved the memories of that night back into the dark recesses of her mind, no desire to dwell on them ever again if possible. "So, war and poker are viable options. I do like Pictionary, but what about Risk or Life? Can we add those to the options?"
His grin shifted into a fond smile. "Whatever you want, Mari."
"Good." She returned his smile. "Now, we have to consider food and drinks. I know Adrien will want pastries as will Alya and Nino. What about Alix and the others? Should I make up an entire menu or focus on finger foods? I know we have plenty of beverage options here, so that can be marked off."
He didn't say anything but rather continued smiling at her. His gaze shifted from one of intense focus to one a little more hazy, soft with its fondness seeping out.
Catching sight of it, her heart warmed as she asked, "What are you thinking right now? That look could either something really good or really bad for me."
"You're just so stinking adorable. That's all." He leaned into her and dropped a soft, lingering kiss on her lips.
Her eyes closed and remained that way until he finally pulled back to whisper, "I'm looking forward to our next group date, but more so, the time after when it's just you and me again. I have plans for you. Oh, so many plans."
"Why don't you give me a hint or two right now? You do know how I like to be as prepared as I can be." Her arms slid around his neck and tugged him closer, her body warming at the promise in his words.
As he leaned in to give her another kiss, she smiled. Group date planning could wait a few minutes, right? It's not like their friends wouldn't have fun, no matter what they ultimately planned.
