Todoroki Shoto is hopelessly gay for one Midoriya Izuku. After the Sports Festival Shoto realized his world got brighter and filled with color and wonder he had never experienced before. Compared to his life before the Sports Festival, everything to him seemed so gray and lifeless, then one Midoriya Izuku changed his life with a few simple words.

“ IT’S YOUR POWER NOT HIS!!!” Flashes through Todoroki’s mind.

With those 5 words, Shoto’s world changed dramatically. Suddenly he has these amazing friends that care for him. And whenever he is with Midoriya his heart starts pounding in his ears and has this tingly and fuzzy feeling in his chest. He has no idea what that feeling means. So he does what is the most logical to him and asks a teacher.

As Shoto is walking up to the teacher lounge he hears the teachers talking about the project that is due for some 2nd years. He pays no mind to the subject of their discussion. When he gets to the door he knocks twice and waits for permission to enter.
“ Come in” drawls Aizawa in his usual tired tone.
Shoto opens the door silently and closes it as such and turns to face his teacher before he starts to speak.
“ Aizawa-sensei, I would Like to request your help with a personal matter,” Shoto Says in a blank tone.
And with those words, all of the teacher’s eyes are on him.
“ Okay, would you like to accompany me into one of the meeting rooms for some privacy?” Aizawa says with an intonation of curiosity.
“ I am okay with that Aizawa-sensei”
“ Then follow me Todoroki”
And with that, they make their way to one of the adjoining meeting rooms that are nearby.

As Aizawa and Todoroki walk into the room and close the door Midnight asks a question.
“ Does anyone know what they are going to talk about?”
As snipe was about to reply Present Mic states loudly “ I didn’t think that little listener would come to Shou with his problems.”
“ I didn’t think so either” Midnight starts “ but I wonder if this is about his home life or something else?” Midnight finishes
And as she finishes the door to the office opens to reveal an Aizawa Shouta scanning the room.
“ Nemuri I’m glad you’re still here I need your help with this” Aizawa states hurridly
“ Of course Shouta, I’ll be glad to help!” Nemuri exclaims excitedly
As she makes her way to the office she looks over her shoulder and mouths a ‘ what the fuck’ to the other people in the room

After the door to the office closes Shouta instructs Todoroki to take a seat on a couch opposite him. Aizawa asks Todoroki if he would like a glass of water or tea before they start talking.
“ A glass of water please sensei” is all Todoroki says
After a minute of shuffling around Todoroki has a glass of water and Shouta has a cup of tea
“ So Todoroki what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Shouta says before taking a sip of his tea
“ The thing is Aizawa-sensei I am having trouble deciphering my feelings about Midoriya and I don’t know what to do.”
“ What do you mean Todoroki? I understand that during the sports festival you and Midoriya had exchanged words in the middle of your fight but I don’t know what was said.”
“ The thing is Sensei, Midoriya was the one to get me to use my left side, MY fire, and since then whenever I’m with Midoriya I have this, fuzzy tingly feeling in my chest and my heart starts pounding in my ears and all I can focus on is Midoriya.” Todoroki slowly starts to gain a little smile as he says this.
After hearing this confession from Todoroki all Shouta can do is stare at his student in shock. Because, first of all, he has never heard Todoroki talk this much since… ever really. And secondly, He did not know Todoroki could smile. And lastly, he did not know the boy was emotionally stunted or had feelings at all.
After a minute or two of silence, Shouta says “ Todoroki I may be married to Hizashi but I am not the person to ask questions about love. As such, there is someone who is better suited to help with your situation, Would you like for me to get them.”
“ If you say they can better help me than I would like that.”
“ Okay just give me a sec to get them”

After that Aizawa stands up and walks to the door. And a few seconds later Aizawa walks back in with Midnight following him. Over to the couch and they sit down.
Once they are seated Aizawa asks “ Todoroki can you explain what you told me to Midnight please.”
“ Okay, well like I told Aizawa-sensei after the sports festival whenever I am around Midoriya I get this tingly fuzzy feeling in my chest and my heart starts pounding in my ears.”

As todoroki explains this, Midnight’s face goes from confused to shock as she realizes that Todoroki is In love with Midoriya. And that she has to help the hopeless child in front of her.
“Okay, Todoroki that feeling is called love, do you understand what that means?” Midnight asks
“ Isn’t that ‘ A strong feeling of affection and concern for another person accompanied by sexual attraction ’ Or is it something else?” as Todoroki explains the dictionary definition of love the two teachers realize how emotionally and socially inept Todoroki is and are flabbergasted, to say the least.
Midnight asks todoroki the simple question of “ How much social interaction did you have before this school year?”
“ Aside from my father and homeschool teachers none, at all” Todoroki responds
“ Todoroki don’t you have siblings?” Aizawa questions
“ Yes but growing up I was not allowed to interact with them” Todoroki states blankly
“ Okay, back to the topic of your love for Midoriya,” Aizawa says to change the topic
“ Right, do you know how you will tell Midoriya?” Midnight inquires
“ I was just going to tell him once I got back to the dorms,” Todoroki says
“ Yeah, you are not going to do that, especially with how you don’t understand social interaction very well.” Midnight makes an effort to emphasize the last half of the sentence.
“ What does my lack of understanding in social interactions have to do with this?” Todoroki questions
With that statement, Aizawa says a simple ‘I need coffee’ and swiftly exits the room to get said coffee. Leaving Midnight there to help Todoroki get a better grasp of the situation he is in. And most likely explain to troubles of being gay and what to expect from those around him.

As Aizawa exits the meeting room he makes a B-Line to the coffee maker in the Teachers Lounge. He does so ignoring the fact that more teachers showed up and that all eyes are on him.
After drinking three cups of coffee in a minute and a half his husband finds the courage to ask “ What the hell is going on in there?” doing so incredulously
“ Todoroki is in love with Midoriya and is emotionally and socially inept.” Aizawa makes the statement short and as clear as possible. And with that, the room falls completely silent except for a cough that comes from a skeletal man with blond hair and sunken blue eyes.
Said man makes a statement meant to be unheard but is heard regardless “so their feelings are mutual.”
And now all of the said eyes are on him. Now after a brief pause, all the teachers are muttering to each other. Snipe and Thirteen are Talking about how the two students are like opposites. Cementoss, Power Loader, and Ectoplasm are discussing how powerful the duo would be. All Might is having an existential crisis by himself at his desk and Hizashi is making his way to his husband.
“ Mind explaining that statement to me with more detail” Hizashi demands
With that in the air, the room quiets down so they all can hear the explanation.
“ Apparently during their fight at the Sports Festival Midoriya changed Todoroki’s mind on a matter for the better and Todoroki fell in love with him. And because of the social and emotional stuntedness of the kid, he came to me asking for help.” Aizawa says clearly for all to hear.
Hizashi is stunned at the explanation and has so very many questions for his husband like “ Why come to you for help and not just go straight to Nemuri?”
“ Though I am not certain I assume it has to do with the fact that the students are aware of the fact that we are married. Also, we need to talk more in-depth about that because supposedly Ashido has pictures and I am not happy about that.” Aizawa’s tone grows into frustration at the latter half of the statement.
“ Yeah, we do need to talk about that with them but back to the other topic at hand, What is going to happen with Todoroki since you left him in there with Nemuri?” and Hizashi is worried at the implications the question leaves in the air.
As the last of the question leaves Hizashi’s mouth the door to the meeting room flys open and out walks Nemuri with a very happy look on her face and Todoroki with eyes as big as Asui’s. The more unsettling thing is that the top half of his is covered in shock and horror with the bottom half in confusion.
As Nemuri walks up to the married men, Todoroki walks out of the teacher’s lounge forgoing manners and most likely walks away to his dorm room. As the teachers watch in silence after he leaves the group of friends is swarmed with the other teachers all worried and concerned with what Midnight did to Todoroki. And with that worry and concern come questions. One of the most common questions being “What the Fuck did you do?”

“ After explaining to him that he is in love with Midoriya and that meaning he is gay I instructed him to write a love letter to Midoriya.” Midnight says as though that will explain the look on Todoroki’s face
“ That is not all you did” Aizawa and Hizashi say in unison with a matter-of-fact tone.
“ Well after that I also gave him the birds and the bees talk.” and once the statement leaves Midnight’s mouth the room goes quiet and the concern and worry leave the air and are replaced with shock and an undeniable tension that could be cut by a knife.
“ You did what?” the question leaves Hizashi’s mouth with an air of horror and confusion.”Why would you do that?” Hizashi continues with what can only be described as a mix of dread and bewilderment.
“ Well better to do it now than to do it when they are caught in the dorms by us or a classmate.” Midnight says simply like she is trying to use logic like Aizawa.
“ Well, she isn’t completely unjustified though I would have given the talk to the whole class at the same time and not individually.” Aizawa breaks the silence. And after that is said the teachers disperse with minimal comments on their disbelief of their colleague.
With that, there is nothing else of importance that happens to the teachers except for a staff meeting about the next term.

-A few days after Todoroki’s talk with Midnight-
Midoriya Izuku had a very arduous training today and as such he was very tired after he was done training. After he showered and changed in the locker rooms he checked the time on his phone 7:38 PM it read. After he put his phone away he made his way to the dorms to go to sleep. Once he got into the dorms he greeted the classmates that were lounging in the common area and left with a short ‘I’m going to bed’ and was met with a chorus of ‘Goodnights’ and a ‘did bakubro infect you midobro’ from Kirishima. But he did not respond and just made his way to the kitchen for a quick granola bar and a store-bought protein shake the left to go to his room. Once he got to his room he found a note taped to his door.
Midoriya was confused, to say the least, but he chalked it up to being a notice from Iida about a dorm violation about him leaving something in the common room. So he just took the note from his door and entered his room. At this point, he was too tired from training to care so he just put it on his desk on top of his closed laptop and proceeds to pass out on his bed.
When Midoriya wakes up Saturday morning he remembers the note on his desk. But before he deals with that he chooses to get ready for the day, since it was a Saturday and there is no school today he just puts on a pair of lounge pants and a shirt that just has the word ‘SHIRT’ on the front of it and continues on. When he turns the note over he notices that it says ‘To Midoriya Izuku’ on it and proceeds to open the letter.
In the envelope was a letter that read.
To Midoriya Izuku
I am in love with you. It is as simple as that and nothing can change it. Whenever I am around you my heart beats in my ears and I have this warm fuzzy/tingly feeling in my chest. I also find myself looking at you in class every so often. Though In my personal opinion to just put it as ‘I’m in love with you’ is mild to how it apparently is. I fell in love with you during the sports festival after our fight in the one-on-one matches, you changed me and my world for the better and It would most likely make my voice raw if I tried to say ‘Thank You’ enough times. But all I can say in this letter is Thank You for saving me from myself and you are My Hero. -Todoroki Shouto <3
After reading the love letter Midoriya finds tears welling up in his eyes. He is so overjoyed that his crush is also in love with him. And so he spends the next ten minutes crying in elation and delight. After his fit of joy, he gets off of his bed and is about to go find Todoroki and realizes that he has no idea of how to respond because he has never had someone been in love with him before and doesn’t want to upset them if his reaction is underwhelming or disappointing and that he has never been in a relationship like this before.
So after considering all his options those being: A) just find Todoroki and wing it B) ask Uraraka for help her being his best friend and all or C) Ask his teacher for help. He chooses to do a mix of B and C. He first texts Uraraka and tells her about the love note.

As Midoriya closes out the text chat with Uraraka he opens the one with Aizawa
Midoriya Izuku: Aizawa-sensei I need your help
with a personal matter are you available to help?
Aizawa Shouta: Yes I am currently in the teacher’s dorm
Are you okay to meet me there?
Midoriya Izuku: Yes Sensei I will be there In 5 minutes
Aizawa Shouta: See you then Problem Child

And with that Midoriya takes off leaving his room in a hurry. He sprints down the hall using Full Cowl running into Mineta only stopping for a brief apology and then continues running skipping the elevator and Using Full Cowl to bounce off of the stairwell going down. As he comes to the 1st floor he barrels out of the stairwell door and runs to the genkan leaving his slippers in his cubby and putting on his signature red sneakers.
Once his shoes are on and shoelaces tied he bolts out of the door in a flash of green lightning leaving everyone in the common area shocked as there should be no way he moves that well in slippers and not leave burn marks on the floor, but he somehow does it and very well at that.

Bakugou is the first to react “ What the fuck was that” comes his signature growl
“ I don’t know but it must be important whatever it is,” Momo says
“ Damn, hope no one made him mad” Jirou adds
“ Yeah, the look on his face was scary,” Hagakure says
“ Better be a booty call or else I got ran over for nothing,” Mineta says
“ Oh, it’s fine then, if he ran you over” comes Mina from the kitchen
There is a round of approving calls from the other 1-A girls

After running through the campus and jumping over benches and shrubs Midoriya makes it to the teacher’s dorm in record time. He takes a few seconds to catch his breath and knocks on the door. A minute later Cementoss opens the door and lets him in. After a quick round of greetings to the other teachers that are awake, he is pointed to the back of the dining area to where Aizawa is sitting with a cup of coffee and a cup of tea.
“ Okay, Problem Child what did you need?” Aizawa deadpans
“ So, yesterday when I got back to the dorms from my after-school training there was a note taped to my door. But I was really tired from training so I just took the note off of the door and put it on my desk and then I went to sleep. When I woke up the morning I remembered the note but before I read it I got dresses for the day. After I got ready I grabbed the not and sat on my bed to open it, and it turned out to be a love letter from Todoroki. And I was really excited and happy after I read the letter. But I’ve never received a love letter before an-” Midoriya is cut off by Aizawa
“ Calm down Problem Child and stop rambling,” Aizawa says sternly
“ Sorry Aizawa-sensei,” Midoriya says meekly
“ I only caught bits and pieces of it problem child but from what I gathered you got a love letter from Todoroki yes,” Aizawa says
“ Yes that is correct” Midoriya replies still a little shy
“ And you came to me for help on what to do, correct?”
“ Yes sensei” it’s said with confidence
“ Okay, just for future reference do not come to me with matters concerning emotions especially love. Now that that has been said I’m going to see if Midnight is up and around because she can help you.” and with that Aizawa gets up and walks to the huddle of teachers.

Hizashi watches his husband stand up and walk towards him and the other teachers talking about what they have planned for today and the rest of the weekend. When he gets over to them and simply asks “Is Nemuri awake?” his husband asks.
“Maijima, kan you both owe me 500 yen” from cementoss. And a sigh from both of them and snipe. While ectoplasm chuckles at their loss.
“ She is awake but just not down here yet” comes a response from Hizashi
“ Thanks, Zashi” Aizawa replies. Then he takes his phone out and texts Nemuri

Aizawa Shouto: Midoriya needs you because he got a love letter from Todoroki and does not know what to do. Your problem now, don’t bother me about it.

A minute after he gets his reply from Nemuri the elevator door opens and outruns a Nemuri in black leggings and a grey turtle neck. Ignoring her colleagues and goes straight to Midoriya where he is sitting anxiously waiting for her. When she gets to the table she takes the spot where Aizawa once sat and composes herself then she begins.
“ Okay I want you to answer my questions then we will go from there, good” Nemuri asks
“ Okay”
“ How did you get the letter, when did you read it, and do you have it with you?” the questions come all at once and Midoriya takes a second to gather the answers
“ I found it taped to my door last night once I got back to the dorms. I read it once I woke up and got ready for the day, and yes I have it with me.” the replies excite Nemuri a little.
After a second Midoriya hands, a pink piece of paper to her, and she studies it very carefully taking in every aspect of it as if it was a paper she was grading. After a minute she continues.
“ I was told that you do not know what to do why?” she questions
“ I have never received a love letter before nor have I been in a relationship of this nature before.” It is stated clearly leaving nothing to be misunderstood.
“ What would you like help with and be specific.” Nemuri is not asking a question it is more of a statement.
“ For starters, I don’t know how to approach the subject with him nor do I know what an appropriate reaction to give him when I bring up my acceptance. After that, I would like some advice on how to actually date someone since I have never done that before. Also, I have not come out as gay to my mother and would like some advice on that as well. That is all that I need help with at the moment but I would still like to come to ask you for help in the future.”
“ In the future please come to me first and make sure to tell your classmates that too. Now for the first thing, just ask to meet up with him and tell him that it is about the letter. Next just give him your genuine and honest reaction to the letter. As for dating advice, I would suggest you two start slowly since you are new to this. Only do what you both are comfortable with and remember consent is very important in relationships. Also, every relationship is different and can change. Also, it is very good to communicate with your partner whether it is just saying you appreciate them or telling them you are not having a good day so it does not feel like they are stepping on your toes all the time.” She pauses to gather her thoughts on her next statement.
“ And for coming out to your mom there is no real way to tell someone’s reaction to it. And all I can say is if you are unsure as to their reaction do it in a place that has more than one exit so that if they react negatively you can get away with little to no injury and find a place that makes you feel safe whether it is a friends house nearby or come back to U.A. and talk to a teacher so you can get help with the situation.” For a while, after there is a pause to let Midoriya take in the information and process it.
Then Midoriya speaks “ Thank you Midnight-sensei your advice has been very helpful, and I appreciate it very much.” with that statement Midoriya says his farewells and leaves the teachers to what they were doing, and makes his way back to the dorms at a leisurely pace. To think about how he wants to talk with Todoroki about the love letter.

Shouto is minding his business in the lounge area in the commons watching TV when his phone pings. It’s a message from Midoriya. All it says is to meet him on the roof of the dorms in five minutes. So following the request he makes his way to the elevator saying that he will be back. Once he makes his way onto the secluded part of the roof with three walls to his sides and one to his back. He sees Midoriya lookout in the direction of the one place where there is no wall.
Upon further inspection, he can see Midoriya trembling slightly like he was nervous. Which set Shouto on edge. When he approaches Midoriya Turns to face him. At first, he is staring at his shoes but slowly lifts his head like he is inspecting him as Souto did to him earlier. After a moment which to him feels like an eternity Midoriya speaks.
“ H-hey T-todoroki” he stutters his greeting and Shouto realizes he finds it quite cute actually.
“ Uh… Hello, Midoriya want did you want to speak about” he says in his usual monotone voice.
“ W-well you s-see I-i I wanted to t-talk about the love letter” he rushes the last few words as to not stutter them.
“ Oh… okay” It is short and quick as Shouto begins to get nervous
“ Well, I uhh… I am also in love with you too Todoroki.”
And Shouto swears his heart skips multiple beats and the tension and anxiety drains from him in waves. And suddenly Shouto gets the urge to hug Midoriya and he does just that. He surges forward and envelopes Midoriya in a half-cold half-hot hug.
And just as suddenly as Todoroki hugs Midoriya he turns all shades of pink and red. As soon as he is let go of Midoriya wraps his arms around his face to hide his embarrassment. After a moment of Todoroki looking at him with an ungodly amount of satisfaction on his face, he begins to speak once more.
“ So, Midoriya since you are also in love with me would you be my boyfriend?”
After a second of silence passes Midoriya only says one word
“ Absolutely”
After a moment they close the gap between them and look at each other fondly. Midoriya then finds his way into Todoroki’s left side. His warm side. And they sit on the rooftop of their dorm building for another 20 minutes or so just sitting there enjoying each other’s company and watch the school grounds in front of them. The trees in front of them swaying in the late summer breeze and the people on the ground walking around or sitting underneath said trees enjoying the breeze.
After another minute of sitting there, Midoriya breaks the silence with a question.
“ Since we’re dating now we should use or given names right?”
“ Yeah, that is fine by me, Izuku”
“ Yeah, also we should tell the class too so they don’t freak on us being all lovey-dovey, Shouto”
So they make their way down to the common area holding hands as they walk. Once in the common area, they walk to the front and call attention to themselves. The only people not there are Bakugo and Mineta which is fine by them.
“ Everyone we have an announcement to make,” Izuku says with the most confidence he has ever shown.
“ Izuku and I are now dating” Shouto continues and holds their hands up for all to see.
There is some silence for a moment after as everyone lets the information sink in and then cheers and celebratory noises are coming from all their classmates. The are Congratulations going around and overall their classmates, their friends, are happy and supportive of them. And unceremoniously, Uraraka tackle hugs Izuku being the loudest person cheering. After that, they are given a final round of congrats or well wishes and then they go back to Shouto’s room to spend the rest of the day in his bed watching a movie and cuddling, and just spending time together.
