Chapter Text
Henry Stickmin, Ellie Rose and Charles Calvin stood at attention while General Galeforce rummaged through some papers on his desk. The General had called the three, unofficially named Triple Threat by most of the troops here, for an apparently special reconnaissance mission he had for them. An exasperated finally left the General's lips as he had found the specific papers he was looking for. General Galeforce cleared his throat before speaking.
"The reason I called for you three is that I have special mission in mind. You see the Toppat Clan has a tradition of hosting a huge gala every couple of years, with each having a sort of theme to them. This year falls on one of those events and the theme is that of a masquerade ball."
"Because of that, I want you three to infiltrate the masquerade, disguised of course, and keep your ears out for anything like plans, schemes or anything else that can be used against those criminals. Don't get caught and don't do anything reckless. You have three days to prepare and everything else will be provided in your mission dossier."
The General stood up before finishing "I expect great results from you three. Good luck and start getting prepped to be ready in three days. That is all." Henry, Ellie and Charles gave Galeforce a salute before leaving his office and heading back to their apartment to figure things out.
---
"Henry, baggy jogging shirts and baggy pants aren't the only clothes in existence, they make other clothes." Ellie had been rumaging through everyone's closets, getting a rough idea of clothing sizes for everyone. Henry just huffed at Ellie's comment, he liked his comfortable clothing. Ellie then swiftly made her way to Charles' closet, Charles getting beet red as she opened the door. Ellie just stared as Henry covered his eyes, Charles just quickly closing the door and writing down his clothing and shoe sizes for Ellie.
Ellie then told Henry and Charles that she would be back shortly with clothes for the upcoming mission, knowing Henry would go crow brain and buy the most glittery, sparkly outfits that caught his eyes and Charles' closet reveal made Ellie definitely not wanting to sending Charles shopping.
Henry and Charles just flopped on their sofa as they waited, flipping through TV channels to try to catch something interesting on. The hours passed and the credits started rolling from a long fantasy movie about a cursed necklace and dwarves that caught Henry's attention. Charles stretched his arms and legs as the sound of their apartment door opened and Ellie returning.
"I have returned from the depths of the clothing stores with outfits you won't get to see until Saturday and food from the food court." Ellie placed the food bag on the kitchen table, with Henry and Charles quickly rummaging through it, like lions to fresh meat. Ellie put everything else in her room, kind of proud with her outfit choices before joining back with the hungry man sharks that were devouring their burgers.
