People tend to realize how quick it may take to fall in love, or how long. Rather you and Sanji still yet to say that you are together. Sitting up in the crows nest, it was your time for night watch. Often Sanji would spend his nights with you since he understands it is lonely. It was just another peaceful night, just you and him with no distractions. Hand in hand, blaming your red faces on the cold.
You two slowly fell for each other, it was quite obvious to the crew about your guys feelings. But you knew you would have to say goodbye. Luffy has been planing for everyone to take off two years to work on themselves. This only meant to you that you and Sanji would be separated. "Look y/n, the stars look so bright tonight!", Sanji said while turning your head to the direction of them. You couldn't lie, they were a beautiful sight. But the lump in your throat was painful, you knew Sanji was only trying to light the mood. Head on his shoulder you two accidentally falling asleep to the upcoming morning.
Today was the last day of your crew-mates being together. You all met at the docks, everyone was determined. Waving the others goodbye you meet up with Sanji, he was standing away from the crew. "What's wrong? Don't you want to say goodbye, Sanji?", he didn't even respond embracing you in a firm hug making you gasp. "I don't want for us to part.", he said beneath his breath just at the slightest so you can understand what he said. You feel the familiar lump in your throat again releasing with tears coming out of your eyes. Looking back up you see Sanji returning the same emotion, him crying silently too. You couldn't hold it any longer and everyone was about to disperse. Faces getting closer every second shooting a look in each others eyes for permission to continue. You two share your first kiss together while a blush is spread evenly between you pair. "Promise we will see each other again, in two years my love for you will be the same.", Sanji admits. You leave him with a nod and a kiss on the cheek, for you to be together again was a promise you will keep.
Time-Skip
(Hair length) hair drops across your body, standing on the old docks you once said goodbye on. It was a few moments until you met again. After two long years that felt like decades... Luffy, then Zoro, then the others. Yet there is no blond in your vision. "Y/N! Aren't you coming?", your captain shouted. This left you concerned, where was Sanji? Grabbing your captain's shoulder he turns and gives you a look. "Where is.. our cook?" Luffy's expression dropped. You were the only one unaware about the situation. "Ah, I suppose you haven't heard?" Well of course you haven't heard you were in the same place for two years working. Your heart dropped at his words. "Sanji, he lost a battle. He's gone, I'm sorry Y/n." Luffy gave you a letter, turned back and started walking towards the ship.

Dear Y/N,
My love, the only one I will truly love for eternity. I am writing this for Luffy to give to you. I am going on a mission with Ivankov. I don't know how tough this'll be, but with whatever happens just know you will always be the brightest star in my sky, you are my pride and joy y/n. I hope you've grown and if I don't make it please don't grieve my leave. Please, promise me you will move on. You will forever be in my heart.
