Uh oh, here we go.

Summary:

I wrote this a while ago for kicks and giggles. I didn't even bother trying to finish it. It's just a little reader insert with my old OCs Pink and Blue, mostly Blue. In this story reader is not human, they're Wyta like Blue. I know a lot of the Wyta stuff isn't going to make sense but I don't really care enough to explain it all.

Chapter Text

This is a crappy Pink and Blue x Wyta!reader.  I’m bored and writing these two arguing over a love interest sounds fun…

(y/n) = your name

(h/c) = hair color

(h/l) = hair length

(e/c) = eye color

(s/c) = skin tone/fur color/scale color

You wandered the streets of the town.  You had walked around town plenty of times, but you had never been to this part of town.  There wasn’t much here save for some abandoned buildings (commonly used for secret laboratories) and a tech dump for all the failed experiments created in such laboratories.  As you walked past the dump, you wondered what kind of things got thrown away there.

Your curiosity inevitably got the better of you and you decided to hop the fence and go in.  This place doesn’t have any security…  you thought.  Oh.  It’s abandoned.  That’s why.   Or so you thought.  As you wandered around this dump; picking things up, fiddling with little prototypes, smashing things for the heck of it…  You heard the sudden sound of rummaging breaking what was otherwise silence.  You flinched momentarily, but figured it was probably just a rat or something…

Then you heard a very Wytan grunt.  There was definitely someone here.  You could hear the labored huffing of someone who was trying to dig up something that’s buried.  Then the Wyta spoke in a youthful, yet seemingly masculine voice (or at least a very deep female voice), “Shut up.” Huh?   “Stop laughing, it’s not funny!  It’s not my fault I can’t reach.”  The voice whined.  Is he on the phone?   You started slowly making your way towards the source of the sound, minding your steps to ensure you didn’t make a wrong step and alarm the person rummaging through the junk.  The voice scoffed loudly, “You’re shorter than me!”  This was a very interesting one sided conversation.  “Oh well if you think it’s so easy , why don’t you get off your privileged, little ghost butt and get it for me?”  The voice yelled.  There was a pause.  “Yeah that’s what I thought.  Now, shut up.”  The sounds of rummaging started back up again.  There was a sudden huff, a loud grunt, and then a clatter.  “Praise Vitah!”  The voice shouted.  “Hrggrraahh!”  He roared like a little boy that just picked something heavy up and threw it in front of his friends.  “Beat that, bitch!”  He laughed heartily.  You slowly cleared past a large pile of rubbish and peered around it.  That’s when you saw an icy-colored Wyta wearing a grey long-sleeved top and blue denim capri-length pants standing on top of a pile of junk, laughing heartily and…  talking to the air?

Oh, he’s crazy.   You thought, letting out a rough breath you hadn’t realized you had been holding.

Then the figure snapped his head in your direction, perking up his ears.  “Shut up, Pink, I heard something.”  He said in a hushed tone. “I said… ”  He shoved his arms into the air like he was grabbing someone and clamping his hand over their mouth.  He growled, “ Shut up .”  He stared directly ahead but you could tell he was listening intently in your direction.  You stayed still for a while, not even breathing.  You were honestly surprised he hadn’t seen you yet, you thought for sure your (h/c) locks and (s/c) (skin/fur/scales) would stand out against the neutral greys and whites that made up a majority of the junk here.  “What’s so funny?  Why are you laughing?”  He said suddenly.  A pause.  You were really starting to get curious who this mysterious entity he was talking to was.  They were clearly imaginary, or at the very least invisible.  “It’s clearly not nothing.  What are you giggling about?”  He paused for a moment and groaned.  “There’s something I’m not seeing isn’t there?”  He said, sounding exasperated.  He shook his head, “Pink, it’s not funny.  It’s actually really annoying.  What am I not seeing?”  He looked in your direction.  Then he pointed directly at you.  You thought you were dead for sure.  Or perhaps you thought something along the lines of, This guy looks pretty small, I bet I could take him.  “You expect me to believe there’s a person standing there?”  He said, Does he really not see me?  “Okay fine,”  He said, beginning to raise his voice, “I’ll say ‘hi’ and assure this supposed person that I am friendly and will not harm them if they come over here and put my stupid sister in her place.”  Sister?   You figured it was safe to do as he was suggesting, you could definitely take this little guy if he tried to start something.  If you were being honest he did look like a bit of a wimp.

“What’s up?”  You called out, starting to walk up to the Wyta.  His entire face flooded with a vibrant shade of purple.  You figured he was blushing…  Rather furiously, I might add.

He snapped his attention to the invisible entity to his right, “Sh-shut your mouth!  It’s n-not funny!”  He choked on his letters.  You were now within a good viewing distance.  You could see the Wyta’s features clearly now.  He was rather short…  really short.  His skin was a very pale shade of powder blue with a light blush of lavender adorning his cheeks.  His haircut was so bad it looked like it was cut by a blind person.  He had choppy, bob cut? white hair that was a little bit blue at the tips, it looked kind of like ice.  His hair was parted at the side of his head where one large horn (about the length of a concerningly large banana) protruded from his forehead, with choppy bangs that covered his right eye.  The eye you could see was a deep, yet somewhat hazy looking shade of cerulean, and seemed to have eyeliner painting the rim of the bottom eyelid.  You could tell he was a Mammilian from the long, fluffy tail (matching in color to the hair on his head) that swished and twitched behind him as he talked.  Now that you were closer you could see that his top was a hoodie with a hood and sleeves that were a dark shade of grey and the body of the hoodie a light grey.  Upon closer inspection you could see that his seeming unevenly cropped pants were actually just regular jeans that had been rolled up.  What you found most surprising was the fact that he had no shoes on his large paw-feet, those things must hurt like hell walking around barefoot in a place like this.

He turned to you, “Can you believe this bitch?!”  he said, pointing to the invisible entity to his right.  “She makes fun of my disability on the daily.  Who does that?”  He said in a humorous tone.  “Imean what kind of sick jerk do you have to be to-”  he turned to his right again.  “Oh, shut up!”  He said, half-smiling at the invisible entity in his line of sight.

“Disability?”  You asked.

He turned to you, seeming to attempt to make eye contact but kind of finding the spot right below your eyes instead, “Huh?”  He tilted his head confusedly, then seemed to understand.  “Oh!”  He said.  “I’m kinda blind, if you couldn’t tell.”  He said snarkily, seeming to laugh at himself.

“Oh.” you said.  Then you said what had been on your mind since the moment you heard his voice.  “Who are you talking to?”

Blue looked at you with a befuddled expression.  “What do you mean?  I’m talking to you ..?”

You shook your head, “No, who do you keep looking at?  There’s no one there.”  You said, gesturing mildly to the air to the right of the other Wyta.  He stared straight ahead, not noticing your gesture.  You sighed heavily in exasperation.  “To your right.”

Oh! ”  He said loudly,  “You mean Pink?”

You raised your eyebrows at him quizzically, this gesture also going unnoticed.
“I hope you know I can’t see any gestures you make.”

Your eyes widened a little bit in embarrassment.  Right.   You shook your head again, “Sorry I’m not used to talking to a blind person.”

“It’s fine…  I’m not exactly used to being blind.”  He huffed out a soft chuckle.  “I’m Blue.”  He said abruptly.  “At least, that’s what Pink calls me.”

You giggled, “Ah, I thought you would have an icier name.”  You say, referencing his complexion.  He laughs.  “What does Pink look like?”  You ask and then realize what you’ve said.  “Ugh, sorry.”  you say, facepalming.

“No it’s fine.”  He says with a smile.  “She looks like me…  only feminine and pink… ”  He says, “And she has hair that kinda…”  he makes a weird motion around his head, similar to the ASL for cat. “floofs?”  You chuckle at his cute mannerisms.  “Why do you ask?”

“I don’t…  See her…”  You say.  He looks at you with a shocked expression.

“Can you hear her?”

“Is she talking?”

“Yes.”  he said, then mumbled, “She never shuts up.” making you giggle.

“Then no.”

“Huh.”  Blue said.  “Imean she is kind of dead, so that would make sense…  But Gamma can see her…  I don’t know why you can’t…”

“That is odd.”  You said with a look of contemplation.  “Well, I’m (y/n).”  You say holding out your hand for a handshake.  “I’m offering a handshake.”

Blue smiles brightly, “Oh my gosh!  Where’s your hand.  I’m so touch starved, all Pink does is hit me.”  He said, waving his hand in front of himself slowly to find your hand.  You gently grabbed his wrist, causing him to flinch and look almost afraid.  You were concerned but ignored it and guided his hand to yours.  You two shook hands and he smiled brightly.  “You’re so nice, I’m surprised to meet anyone here, let alone someone who isn’t at least a little mad.”  He said with a chuckle.  “What brings a (guy, girl, kid) like you to a place like this?”  he asked.

You shrugged, “I dunno, I was on a walk and figured why not explore this place.  But uh…  I thought it was abandoned…”  You said, turning to Blue.  “So, why are you here?”

“I live down the street.”  Blue said nonchalantly, shrugging.

You looked up in the direction from which you had entered the dump, “I thought this area was abandoned.”

“Secluded is a better word.”

“Ah.”

Blue turned from you and began rummaging through the pile of junk next to him.  Giving you a rather good view of his booty.

“What are you doing?”  You asked.

“Looking for spare parts.”  He said, now laying sideways on the ground his entire arm reached deep into a hole in the pile and his face scrunched in concentration.

“For what ?” You asked.

“Tinkering.”  He said in a strained voice as he stretched his arm as far as he could.  He mumbled, “Come on, I know my seeing-eye-ghost said she saw something good down here, and she better not be fuckin’ pranking me.”  He continued to rummage his arm around in the crevasse.  “Agh!”  He screamed, quickly pulling his hand out and cringing.

“What is it?”  You asked.

“It was slimy…”  He whined, suppressing a gag and doing a little hand-stim.  You giggled at his dramatic reaction.  He shot you a sad glare, “Why are you laughing?!  It’s not funny!”

“I’m laughing because you’re adorable!”  You said through giggles.

In a fraction of a second, Blue’s cheeks flushed a vibrant shade of pinkish-purple.  He sputtered out defenses indignantly, seeming angry that you called him cute and insisting he wasn’t.  He accused you of patronizing him for being short.  You only laughed more at his excessive reaction.

“You’re not helping your case, Blue”  You said between gasps after finishing your laughing fit.  To which he huffed indignantly and crossed his arms, looking away from you in frustration.  He really was adorable.  You had finally calmed yourself and said, “You said you live down the street?”  You inquired.

He looked up at you, his blush had faded considerably.  He was cute when he blushed, you’d have to tease him more in the future if you ever met again.  “Yeah?”

You turn your head up in the direction you entered from again, put your hands in your pockets and shuffled your feet awkwardly, “Are you done here?”  You asked, turning your head back to him.

“No..?”  he said, squinting a little at you.  Then he had a look of understanding.  “Oh.  I can come back if you’re saying you want to come to my house…”  He said, looking in the general direction of your face.  You smiled and nodded.  “Okay.”  He said, seeming to see your nod.  He started walking and you followed him.  Every so often, he would stop and grab something from one of the piles as you passed them.  And sometimes you could hear him mumble something, presumably to the seemingly imaginary person he called Pink.  He stepped into a space between two buildings that was really only wide enough for single file passage.  He walked in front of you, not talking.  You studied him from behind, the way his tail swished as he walked, the way he swung his arms, the soft tap of his bare paws hitting the ground.  He raised his arm and grumbled, “I’m not that stupid, Pink.”  He growled, “They aren’t admiring me!”  Your eyes widened in surprise, had his imaginary friend caught you staring?  “I don’t believe you.”  He whispered, folding his arms over his chest.  He probably thinks I can’t hear him…   You thought.  He turned his head downward and muttered in a bashful tone, “No I’m not…”  He waved his hand by his face like he was slapping a hand away.  It made a sound.  It what?   “Stoppit!”  He raised his voice, “I am not .”

“Not what?”  You asked, your curiosity getting the better of you.

Blue stopped and turned around, his eyes wide.  Then he remembered, Oh yeah, they can’t hear Pink.   “N-nothing.”  He said softly, starting to walk again…  backwards.

You looked at him quizzically, catching up with him now.  “You were talking to Pink weren’t you?”

He furrowed his brows a little bit, “Uh, yeah?”  he said, in a tone that screamed ‘obviously’ .

“What was she saying?”  You asked.

He blushed, “Nothing important.”  You guys exited the alley and came to a paved sidewalk which you turned left on.  You walked side-by-side.

You crossed your arms over your chest, “That’s not fair, I can’t hear her.  I wanna know what she has to say.”  You huffed, frowning at him.

Blue let out a gruff sigh, “Fine.”  He huffed.  “Pink, what do you have to say to (y/n)?”  There was a moment of silence before his eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and a bright purple blush spread across his pale blue cheeks.  “I can’t tell them that !”  He yelled.

“Oh my gosh what did she say?”  You asked, really interested now.

“In short?”  He asked, looking at your face.

“If that’s all you can tell me.”

He looked at the ground, embarrassed.  He couldn’t believe he was actually about to tell you.  “She says you’re hot.”

You smiled, “Tell her I said thank you.”

“She can hear you just fine.  She’s right here”  He said, pointing above his head.

You were confused at this gesture, “She’s on your head?”

He looked at you half-lidded.  “No.  She’s floating, stupid.”

“Ah.”  You said.  “Can I talk to her?”

“Go ahead, not sure she can talk back.  But have at it.”  He said, shrugging.

“Why can’t you tell me what she says?”

Blue scowled, “I can .  I just don’t want to.”

“Why not?”  You asked.

“I hate her.”  He growled.

“What if I said please?”  You said.

“If you got down on your knees and begged, I might consider it.”  He shrugged.  “Imean, she could possess this body, but I don’t want her to.”

“Please, I want to know her like you do.”  You begged.

“No you don’t.”

“Pleeease?”  You begged, grabbing his arm and clinging to it.  This made him blush.

“G-gh-get off…”  He muttered embarrassedly, shaking his arm out of your grip.  “Fine.”  He sighed.  “Go ahead and talk, I’ll paraphrase.”  He turned to his right, “Shut up, they haven’t even said anything yet.”

“What’s she saying?”

“Start fucking talking or I’m going to do something rash.”  He growled.

“Okay.  Hi, Pink, I’m (y/n).”  You said smiling and holding out your hand for a shake to the empty space next to Blue.

“She knows your name.”  Blue growled.  “She says hi.  She wishes she could shake your hand but she can’t touch anyone but me.”

“Oh, yikes.”  You said.  You looked at the empty space, “What uh…  Why are you with Blue?”

“Two reasons: I love him very much~!  And I couldn’t leave him even if I wanted to.”   Pink said.   Blue rolled his eyes, “She and I are stuck with each other.  There’s some mysterious force that keeps us from getting too far from one another.”

“Oh.”  You grimaced.  “Blue says he hates you.  Do you feel the same way?”

“No.  I love him so much.  I wish he would fuse back into Lilac with me.  When we get home I want him to look at me and hold my hand and cuddle me and-”   Blue slapped his hand over her mouth.  “That’s enough of that.”  He hissed through gritted teeth.  “No.  She holds an unreasonable amount of affection towards me.”  He said.  Pink frowned, and then quickly perked up.  “I love you~.”  She sang as she pulled his hand down from her mouth .  “I know.  Now shut up about it.”

You looked at him quizzically.

“She said she loves me.  Keep talking or I’m going to start tuning her out again.”

You smiled, you had a feeling he didn’t totally hate her.  You decided to play around a little bit.  “Is there anything you know about Blue that he would never tell me?”  You got hardcore tsundere vibes from him.

Blue scowled at you with a slight blush on his cheeks.  “Not funny.”

“I’m not joking.”  You said with a smirk.

“Oh yeah, he has all kinds of secrets.  He really likes you so he probably wouldn’t tell you any of them.”  She laughed.  “That’s a secret in itself.”   Blue scowled at her, “I’m not telling them that.”  Pink smirked at him, “Well this isn’t your conversation is it?”   Blue turned from her, “I don’t have to tell them anything.  I’m doing this because I want to, not because I have to.  I will stop if you push your luck.”  Pink giggled, “Whatever.”  She said with a finger in front of her lips.  She turned to you, though you couldn’t see her.  “Blue thinks you’re hot-”  Blue interrupted that statement, real fast .  “ No I don’t! ”  He yelled.  Pink rolled her eyes.  “Blue thinks you’re cute.”  She sighed, “Better?”   Blue glared at her, “I’m not telling them that.”  He growled.  Pink smirked.  “That’s fine.  I’m sure they think it’s cute when I make you blush regardless.”  Blue gave her a dead-eyed stare, panicked.  “I-  I’m not…  Am I? ”  Blue brought his hands up towards his face, which was flushed.  Pink giggled, “I want you to ask (y/n) that.”   He glared at her, and then turned to you.  “Pink says I’m blushing.  Am I blushing?”  ‘Please say no…’  he whispered, looking at the ground.

“Yeah, a little.  Why?”  You replied.

He didn’t answer you, he just turned back to Pink.  “See?”  The unnaturally pink-palleted Wyta said.   He growled.

“You haven’t told me any of her answers yet.”  You said.

“That’s because they’re all embarrassing to say.”  Blue huffed.  “If you guys were talking behind my back or something this might work.  But I’m not gonna tell you any of this stuff.”

“Then let her have the body for a minute.”

“Hell no.”  He said in a stubborn tone.  You weren't going to get those answers from him right now.  “Just ask a different question.”

You shrugged, “Fine.  What’s her favorite color?”

“Purple.”  He said.

“That’s ironic.”  You chuckled.  “What does she do for fun?”

“Tease Blue.”  “Tease me.”  Pink and Blue said in unison.

You laughed.  “Okay.  Wh-”

“We’re here.”  Blue said.

You looked at the building in front of you.  Was this…  An apartment complex?

“I know what you’re thinking and…  It’s abandoned like everything else here.”  He smiled as he led you to his apartment.  He walked up to the door and unlocked it.  “I’m home!”  He called into the house as he entered.

“Does someone else live with you?”  You asked, almost excited to meet another one of Blue’s friends.

“Oh, I just say that for my bots so they know I’m here.”  He said, smiling softly.  You heard the light sound of shoes hitting carpet.  And soon you saw a short, mostly white-colored robot come up to Blue and grin.

They greeted each other enthusiastically and you took in the robot’s features.  She had white, synthetic hair in a similar cut to Blue, only it was…  Better.  And it didn’t cover her eyes.  The robot had bright green mechanical eyes.  It seemed very happy to see Blue.  Then it looked at you.  “Blue…”  The robot said in a boyish voice, surprising you.  You thought for sure the robot would have the voice of a little girl.  “Who is that?”  The robot asked.

“Oh.”  Blue said, letting out a bit of a chuckle.  He seemed happier now that he was home.  “This is (y/n).”  He gestured at you with his hand.  The robot looked at you.

“Hi…”  It said distantly.

Blue laughed at the robot, “Why are you acting so weird?”  He said, nudging the robot on the shoulder.

The robot looked at the ground shyly, then looked up at you suspiciously, “How do you know Blue?”

You smiled down at it like it was a small child and opened your mouth to speak.  But you were interrupted by Blue.  “We met at the dump.”  He said with a lazy chuckle.

“And you just-  invited them to your house?!”  The robot exclaimed.  “I thought you didn’t trust strangers.”

Blue smiled down at the robot, “It’s okay, I know you’ll protect me.”  He winked at the robot.  “Won’t you, Gamma?”  The robot’s entire face panel lit up and you realized it was a screen.  It lowered its head and allowed it’s hair to fall in front of its face.  Not like that did anything, the screen was still glowing brightly.

“S-ssssstop…”  The robot’s voice seemed to bug out.

Blue laughed lightly.  “Haha okay.”  He said.  Then he turned to you, “This is Gamma.”  He gestured to the robot loosely.

“G-M4.”  The robot muttered.

“Everyone calls him Gamma.”  Blue growled.

You laughed, “He’s cute but what does he do?”  You figured if Blue went through all the trouble to make a robot, he had to have some kind of function or purpose.

“He just makes me happy.”  Blue said with a lazy smirk.  A small, mechanical noise emitted from the robot, you turned and got closer to Gamma out of attentiveness.

“Are you okay?”  You asked.

Blue gently pulled you away, “He’s fine.”  The icy Wyta assured you.  “He just has a tendency to malfunction when he’s feeling shy.”

The robot’s head shot up, “That’s not true!”  He shouted through a heavily glitching voice.  He seemed angry, but why?

Blue looked confused and concerned.  “Why are you so angry?”  He asked rather bluntly.

The robot…  blushed?  He looked away from Blue.  “I’m not shy, I just don’t trust this stranger.  I can’t see why you do trust them…  I’m usually the one who has to convince you that people aren’t out to hurt you.”  That’s kinda sweet but it doesn’t explain why he’s angry.

“Blue.  He’s angry because he’s jealous.”  A certain ghost spoke up.

Blue and Gamma both whipped their heads to an area just above Blue’s left shoulder.  Gamma shouted, “I’m not jealous!  What’s there to be jealous of?!  What are you talking about?!”

Pink smirked, “You’re intimidated by your new rival for Blue’s affection.”

Blue spoke up with a cool tone of voice and facial expression, “Wait, back up.”  He said, raising his hands in a light shoving gesture, “Where are you getting the idea that I have affections for anyone?”

Pink looked at her icy companion half-lidded and no longer smirking, “Blue, you clearly have the hots for (y/n).”

Blue furrowed his brows at the invisible entity, to be honest you felt a little left out.  But the tense atmosphere between these three was stopping you from intervening just yet.  “I do not have ‘the hots’ for them!”  Blue roared.  “I only brought them here because they seemed nice and you seemed to like them!”  He said, gesturing violently to what you assumed to be Pink.  Oh.

You coughed awkwardly, alerting everyone you were still there.  Everyone whipped their heads to you, including Pink but you couldn’t see her.   You coolly moved your gaze between the two pairs of eyes you could see.  Nobody said anything for a while.  Then Blue huffed and started walking away.  “I’m going to my room to see if I can find a way for (y/n) to see Pink.  If there’s an emergency, scream bloody murder.  Anything else…  Don’t bother me.”  He growled as he walked presumably in the direction of his room.

You did the awkward little walk/run thing to catch up with him and grabbed his sleeve.  “Do you want any help?”

He pulled his arm away and glared directly into your eyes.  “Why would I?”

“I thought you were blind…”

He squinted angrily at you, “That doesn’t make me incapable.”  He growled.

You furrowed your eyebrows, “I didn’t say it did.  I only offered to help.”

“If it’s because you wanna see the stuff I build then you can come as long as you’re quiet.”  He grumbled, beginning to walk again.

You looked back to where Gamma was standing, he looked a little angry but didn’t seem to be malfunctioning anymore.  You looked up to where Pink had been.  Was she still there?

“She’s over here.”  Blue said.  “I can’t really do anything to stop her from tailing me.”
