Chapter Text
Mattholomule didn’t know how he got here but he was. He was about to help Blight Industries sell their Abomaton Soldier.
But he was raising from the floor, and onto the stage in front of all the witches who for some reason chose to come and buy the dumb thing. He didn’t smile, sure he liked attention but not to be used.
“It’ll pour your tea!”
Mattholomule watched the audience as he stopped himself from cringing at the tea falling down his arms from the overflowing cup.
“Help you keep up with the latest trends!”
He felt like dying. Hairspray threatened to make him sneeze and he had a quick thought that his hair would never be the same again.
“And best of all, it’ll defend you against any.. unwanted visitors.!”
A chill circled his chest and quickly Matt realised the purpled gem coloured necklace Odalia forced him to wearing was speaking of some sorts.
‘Mrs Blight to Mattholomule, remember the deal I set you. Make this look good and we’ll forgive your part in the destruction of detention.’
He mumbled.
“Yes, Mrs.”
The soldier swung its slimy arms at him and he made sure to keep a monotone tone of speech when advertising, he wasn’t even getting paid why should he fake interest?
“Wow. It’s so fast and strong, order now.”
He flung off the stage, sprinting back on however as fast as possible. But he caught a glimpse of the chart reading “Units Sold” going up.
Disgusted, he let the soldier grab him with a hand as he gave yet another totally enthusiastic statement.
“Oh wow it’s undefeatable..! How will I ever escape?”
Everything was fine, everything would of been perfect.
If the photo didn’t slip out of his pocket.
On the floor, a photo of Gus, Willow and Luz he had managed to take at Grom, mainly because he wanted to take a souvenir of the event and how cool Gus was.
That’s when everything went wrong.
He drew two circles, making his legs increase in size and one more to crush the soldier with a size increased brick after he landed and shrunk his legs.
Booing and insults rang through out the crowd as Matt knelt to pick up the photo which luckily just had a crease through the middle.
He heard footsteps charge on the stage.
“Right, that was just.. a beta test! We can’t wait to see you all next week when we., uh.. reveal the finished production in all its glory!!” Odalia shouted, nervous with annoyance.
“MATTHOLOMULE! You just lost us so much money, why is this so!?”
She caught a glimpse of the photo and who it pictured.
“I see, I see. I guess our new employee has been getting.. distracted.”

Mattholomule didn’t know what to expect that school day but it certainly wasn’t this.
“Luz Noceda, Willow Park and Augustus Porter, report to Principal Bump’s office now. Oh right, and Mattholomule (last-name.)”
Sitting with his ‘boss’ isn’t what he exactly wanted this morning but what happened next made it worse.

“So, the PCA had decided... hem hem!”
“Oh right these three are bad influences and must be executed.”
WAIT HOLD UP-
“I mean expelled.”
Oh no, oh no no no they can’t expel them..
The newly familiar chill circled my chest again and that voice I so wanted to destroy rang in my ears.
“Take this as a lesson, a Blight employee always upholds their end of the deal.”
It hit me quickly and I slouched.
Bump started to speak, this wouldn’t be good.
“Sadly, I have no choice on the matter. Luz, Willow, Augustus effective immediately, you are no longer students of Hexside..”
That’s when I heard Gus stand up, frantically.
“No, but we’re good! Urm.. Mattholomule tell them!”
Despite how desperately I wanted to help him, I shouldn’t and couldn’t do I bowed my head lower to avoid eye contact with the boy.

The doors to the office were slammed open by the oh so familiar troubleseeking guards swiped the three I’ve looked up on for ages.
Gus was the last one to be pulled through..
“Mattholomule! Mattholomule..!”
Before I could even turn my head, I heard the door creaking shut.
