She bumps into him outside of Sneezy’s pharmacy, accidentally shouldering his arm as she quickly rounds the corner into the store.
“Sorry- Oh.”
Robin, with his dark hair and darker eyes, smiles back at Belle. “Madam Mayor.”
Belle waves him off. “Don’t worry about that. I’m sorry, I wasn’t really paying attention to where I was going.”
“No harm done.” He steps away, bringing the paper bag at his hip up for her to see. “And I paid for these. No need to call the Sheriff.”
She laughs, though her heart’s not really in it, and she watches him walk away with that skip in his step that speaks of contentment with life. Belle hurries into the store, losing herself in the shelves at the back, far from the counter, and comes to stand in front of a very particular section, wondering if she’ll be as happy as Hood with her lot…whatever it is.
Fingers hovering over the pregnancy tests, she eventually picks up the brightest box, labelled First Response.
She ends up leaving with four of them. Just to be sure.
