"Excuse me, Sir can I-"
"Oh uh it's not Sir...uh-
"Sorry, Sir, you left your bag here?"
"Uh it's not Sir but thanks...."
"Hey Sir? can I ask you-"
"ARGH!" Sebastian makes a frustrated sound as they enter their home. They close the door and silently thunk their head against it, breathing in and out slowly. Once they're calm enough they move to the living room and flop onto the sofa, groaning quietly.
Kimi heaves a soft sigh at all the dramatic behaviour and comes in from the kitchen. "Stressful day?"
"I'm never going shopping again." Sebastian's voice is muffled in the pillow.
"What happened?" Kimi asks, leaning down and running a gentle hand through Sebastian's hair until the German silently relaxes.
"Everywhere I went people addressed me by Sir. No one was interested in a correction and it pissed me off." Sebastian murmurs, a deep unhappy sigh leaving them.
"Sir?" Kimi raises an eyebrow. "They didn't think you were Lewis, did they?"
That gets a soft muffled laugh from Sebastian and they move so they can see their boyfriend. "Maybe they did. But oh my god. I need a shirt saying No gender. Fuck off on it. Seriously!"
Kimi grins. "I could make you one? Could be fun to wear to the paddock?"
Sebastian chuckles and moves to push themself up to sit on the sofa properly. They pat the seat next to them and Kimi takes the offer, moving to curl up into their side immediately.
"You're home now." Kimi tells them softly. "Its just you and me and the world with its gendered expectations doesn't exist."
Sebastian sighs deeply and turns to nuzzle him, feeling themself relax entirely. "I'm glad I have you."
"You will always have me, Sebby." Kimi tells them softly. "No matter what."
Sebastian turns to hug him, hiding themself in the Finns shoulder. They breathe in his scent happily. "I love you."
"I love you too." Kimi whispers to them, moving to pull them into a gentle kiss. "And now how about we watch some TV and I cook you your favourite meal? It sounds like you've had a tiring day."
Sebastian nods eagerly and kisses his cheek. "Yes please."
"As you wish." Kimi gives them one last tender kiss on the lips before getting up and heading into the kitchen.
Sebastian curls up on the sofa, feeling more relaxed then they had and feeling loved.
The next morning Sebastian finds a present waiting for them in the living room. An aston green shirt with the words No gender, Fuck off written on it with a picture of Kimi giving the finger underneath it.
Sebastian finds themselves laughing until they cry. They clutch the shirt to their chest happily. It makes them realise this was the man they wanted to marry.
