Chapter Text
Zuko loves Katara’s hair. He loves it soft, smooth, adorned with beads and pearls. He loves it tangled, battle-worn, braided or loose. He loves its complexity; how it reflects her, her identity. He loves her hair. He loves her with all his heart.
Katara loves Zuko’s hair. She loves it long, silky, royal with his golden crown and red ribbons. She loves it short, falling into boyish eyes, cut after years of shame. She loves its past, its present and future; how it doesn’t define him, like his honour and kindness. She loves his hair. She loves him with all her heart.
There’s something about hair that brings out the love in each other.
