Chapter 1: A Sight Unnoticed
Chapter Text
Jessie: C’mon Sparky!
Jessie was running across the sandy field with a robotic dog named Sparky. The two were residents of Brawltopia: a city in the middle of nowhere that somehow made itself a joy to be living in. Sparky was created by Jessie’s mother, Pam, as a comfort animal for Jessie, as there weren’t many kids around with the few weird exceptions. Nevertheless, the two were the best of friends.
As Jessie continued running over the sand, Sparky caught something in the corner of his eye, causing him to freeze. Jessie looked back at him in confusion
Jessie: …Sparky? What’s wrong?
Sparky: Arf!
Sparky directed his nozzle towards the direction he was looking, and what Jessie saw amazed her.
In the distance, a factory could be seen away from the city that Jessie had known and loved. It was close enough to see some small details, yet far enough to settle it’s mysterious nature for the young girl. From what she could see, the factory was most likely abandoned, having moss spill from the windows and cracks in the walls. The aforementioned walls were an old yellow that would unsettle anyone that saw it.
Normally, Jessie would be telling someone about this discovery by now, but instead she stood there dumbfounded. How can the residents of her suburban city not mention or even notice this building? Jessie always was the curious type anyways.
Jessie: Should I…check it out?
Sparky: Ruff?
Jessie: I mean, no one’s even talked about it yet, so should I?
Sparky: …Ruff!
Jessie: Alright…
Her head already flooding with regret, she approach the dusty, wooden doors and pushed them wide open. The two looked at each other before Jessie entered the building, with Sparky behind her.
Jessie: Wish me luck.
Chapter 2: New Creations

Chapter Text
Jessie walked through the empty corridors that greeted her as she explored. Sparky was just behind her, looking out for any threats that might terrorize the girl. The rooms that the doors hid were filled with what you’d expect from a factory; controls, conveyer belts, extra materials, and scrap metal. The one thing that Jessie found interesting was a single poster of a six-pointed star smiling at her. The poster read “Smiles for all” on it. The date read 1893.
Jessie: Huh, must’ve been for going against slaves.
Jessie passed the poster to Sparky, who stored it inside of himself. Jessie continued down the corridor until it ended with a set of doors like the entrance, only metallic. Despite this, Jessie was curious enough to try opening it. It creaked, but not wide enough to see anything. Jessie then pulled out an electric rifle from her bag and aimed for the crack. It managed to squeeze through. Jessie could hear the bullet she shot hit several objects before stopping.
Jessie: 1, 2, 3… 12! Sparky, stay here.
Sparky: Arf!
Jessie pushed the metal door again, only this time it made a crack big enough for Jessie to squeeze through. She went through the crack to see 12… objects. She couldn’t tell what they were since it was dark, so she looked through her backpack to find a flashlight. She turned it on and looked around the room. In the middle of the room was a glowing tube with an unidentifiable creature inside. On the sides were robots, each one different than the last.
The first one she saw was slouched on the wall next to the door. It was dressed in a proper get up compared to the rest. The most distinct part of the robot, however, was the metallic mustache built under its singular eye, unlike the rest.
Jessie: (This one must’ve been meant to be a butler.)
The next one was in a similar shape, except it was only wearing a metal band across it’s chest, covered in rubber materials. A purple hat laid on it’s head as well.
Jessie: (I Wonder, what was it used for?)
The third was shorter then the other two, but clearly still tall. It merely had a pirate hat, and nothing else.
Jessie: (This feels off, wonder why.)
The fourth one broke the trend of singular eyes the first three carried, as it had two eyes connected to what looks like a hard hat. It’s legs seemed a bit damaged, however.
Jessie: Maybe I can fix this one later…
The fifth one was the shortest of them all, having… a bomb for a head. It’s legs were merely sticks, and it’s hands were large cannons almost as big as it’s head.
Jessie: (It does look cute, but also weird too.)
The sixth one could merely be described as an arcade cabinet with arms and legs, but that was simplifying it. The limbs were blue, and it was unplugged, but other then that, there was nothing else to note.
Jessie: (Seriously, why is there already an arcade cabinet? Weren’t they made a century after?)
The seventh one contained a small plant that was surrounded by glass. The robot itself merely had claw hands and wheels for transport.
Jessie: (I Wonder how the plant survived.)
The eighth one had a singular eye like the first three, but a vastly different body. One of its arms was also torn off.
Jessie: Is… is that one broken?
The ninth one was huge and bulky, it was easily the biggest one. However, it’s eyes were merely two lines pointing towards its mouth. It also seemed to have two canisters on it’s back.
Jessie: (I Wonder why this one had to be so big.)
The tenth one was smaller than the ninth, but still showed a bit of bulk in it’s metal. It’s head was more spherical than the ninth as well, almost like it was meant to be with the other one.
Jessie: Aww…
The eleventh one shared a similar body and eye with the first three, however, it’s legs were replaced with a singular wheel. This one also seemed heavily damaged, but not to the point of having missing parts.
Jessie: (Jeez, looks like I’ll have to fix this one later.)
The twelfth and final one resembled a trash bin with arms and legs. It had no visible face, but it did have a lid where the face might’ve been. It also seemed to be used, containing a few bits of trash.
Jessie: Sparky! Come look at this!
Sparky came out and followed Jessie to the Twelfth robot.
Jessie: Can you pull out my notebook?
Sparky: Ruff!
Sparky spat out a notebook that Jessie caught with succession. She then pulled out a pen and began writing. As she was writing, a spark went off in the twelfth robot that would soon reach the others. The lid on the robot opened up, without Jessie noticing.
???: h-Huh? ….where…where am I?
The robot looked at the room from their position, then spotted the girl that wrote in her notebook as a robotic dog suddenly began growling. Without hesitation, the robot spoke to the girl.
???: W-Who are ye?
Jessie turned around, only to see two angry and confused eyes glaring at her.
