Jeongguk is slumped on his chair in the darkness of his room. A neon blue shines from the display of his speakers, the little and only source of brightness, as well as the only source of sound.
𝅘𝅥𝅮 I've sunk so low in the sea of sadness
—深海少女 (Deep Sea Girl)
The high-pitched voice sings a melancholy tune as the title of the song moves across the small display of the speakers. Jeongguk stays in his seat, unmoving, except for his mouth that quietly sings along.
A ray of white light suddenly peeks in from the door in the back—along with a head, and then two.
"Jeongguk? What's up with him?" Seokjin asks, a mix of concern and confusion on his face, as he watches Jeongguk's motionless body.
Jimin answers with a sigh, looks at the dimly lit silhouette of Jeongguk, then turns to Seokjin.
"He didn't get a concert ticket."
"Miku's?"
Jimin nods.
"Oh no."
"He's been cooped up here all day, blasting some really depressing Miku songs," Jimin explains as neither of their eyes leave Jeongguk.

"Well." Seokjin pushes the door wide open, pouring in brightness into the room. "The maknae can't be sad on my watch."
Jeonguk hisses.
"Yah! Stop moping around, Jeongguk-ah!" Seokjin exclaims without any actual sternness in his voice. He makes his way towards Jeongguk and wraps his arms—soft and fluffy with the sweater he's wearing—around the hoodie-covered man.
"Hyung..." Jeongguk pouts as he returns the hug. "I didn't get a ticket." He whines, causing his two hyungs to coo. They know he's not extremely sad about it, but he was excited about attending Miku's concert, so he can't help but be bummed out from not being able to go.
"Is this what ARMYs feel when they don't get a ticket for our concert? Oh no..." Jeongguk frowns and becomes more dejected at the thought, body slumping down further into his seat. This prompts Jimin to approach his side and join the hug.
"Jeongguk-ah," Jimin whispers with a voice so gentle, his hand rubbing Jeongguk's head with a touch of the same tenderness. "Maybe we can find a ticket being resold? I'm sure there's at least one out there."
Jeongguk doesn't reply for what seems like a minute or two, contemplating Jimin's suggestion with a questioning pout. He looks at his hyungs, doe-like eyes staring, then he buries his face back in Seokjin's chest.
"It's okay hyung... We might end up having practice or a schedule on the concert day. It's alright," Jeongguk mutters like he's trying to convince himself that it's okay rather than telling them that it actually is okay.

"Are you sure?" Jimin asks, clearly not convinced.
"Mhm." Jeongguk nods into Seokjin's sweater.
Seokjin and Jimin, unhappy with this situation, make eye contact with the same desire in their gazes: make Jeongguk happy.

"How long do we have left?" Seokjin asks, his phone pressed against his ear.
" Around 20 minutes! We're already on our way home, hyung, " Jimin's voice is heard on the other end of the call.
"Okay, we almost have everything set up! See you later, Jimin-ah."
Seokjin drops the call and pockets his phone. He looks around the room and sees some of the members busy with their own tasks.
Taehyung tapes quite a handful of flashlights with varying colors of cellophane to furniture. He also sets up balloons of three different colors and hangs them on the walls and the ceiling, followed by sprinkling confetti everywhere as a sort of final touch.
Yoongi sits in the back of the room with his laptop and two speakers by his side, typing away and his concentration not leaving the screen. He plays some test sounds and adjusts the volume so it's neither too loud nor too soft.
"Ah, ah, ah. Hello?" Yoongi speaks into the microphone and Taehyung flashes him a thumbs up as he passes by.
"Taehyung-ah! Yoongi-yah! They're arriving in around 20 minutes. Do you need any help?"
"I'm all set." Yoongi gives Seokjin his little smile, signalling that he's ready.
"I'm almost done, hyung! I got this." Taehyung sends a boxy smile towards Seokjin.
"Thanks! Great work, guys. Where's Hob-ah and Namjoon-ah?"
"They're getting dressed. You should probably go and change too, hyung."
"Ah, you're right. I'll be off then." Seokjin walks towards Hoseok's bedroom—guessing that that's where the two are—and indeed, it's where they were.
"Hob-ah! Nam—" He opens the door wide but freezes in place.
"Namjoon-ah..." Seokjin says, muffled by his hand covering his mouth as he tries to hold back his laughter. "You look great."
"S-Seokjin-hyung! Don't make fun of me!" A blush makes its way to Namjoon's cheeks as he pouts. He's wearing a gray sleeveless collared top, a very short black skirt with a turquoise hem, and really long black boots with turquoise lining.
"Oh, hyung! You're here." Hoseok greets him without batting an eye as he works on Namjoon's makeup, delicately and carefully applying cosmetics on his face. "Namjoon is almost ready."
"I'm not making fun of you, Namjoon-ah. You look amazing," Seokjin replies to him in a singsong manner.
"The tone of your voice and you trying not to laugh say otherwise." Namjoon frowns, and is then immediately scolded by Hoseok who is still applying makeup on him.
"Why do I have to do this again?" Namjoon eyes the aquamarine wig on the bed, not exactly looking forward to putting it on later.
"Because it's for Jeongguk." Seokjin and Hoseok say, almost in complete unison.
Namjoon sighs in resignation.

Jeongguk and Jimin stand inside the elevator, having just arrived at their dorm and are making their way up to their floor.
Jimin hums happily the entire time. Jeongguk noticed that his hyung has been in a good mood the whole day, all smiley and upbeat. He didn't bother asking him, maybe something great happened to him today, or maybe not too. Jimin tends to be bubbly often anyway, but he does admit that something feels different today.
Oh well. Jeongguk shrugs it off.
The elevator comes to a stop, dinging as its doors open and lead them to the hallway. Their feet start taking them to their dorm room without much thought.
Then, Jeongguk stops in his tracks. He slightly turns his head in confusion, noticing two men in black suits and sunglasses who are guarding both sides of the door to their dorm room. "What."
"What's wrong, Jeongguk-ah?" Jimin asks as if totally nothing is out of the ordinary.
Jeongguk looks back and forth between Jimin's face and the two men in suits. He seems to be the only one finding something odd about all this. Did they hire security? Maybe he just forgot about it.
They continue walking and as they get closer to their door, Jeongguk's face lights up in recognition.
"Hobi-hyung? Jin-hyung? What are you doing here?"
The blank expressions on their faces do not change even the slightest as the two say in unison, "Tickets?"
"What?"
"Oh! Right, let me grab our tickets." Jimin grins as he quickly rummages through his bag, bringing out a pair of turquoise-colored paper strips and handing it to the two. The tickets were already pocketed by Hoseok before Jeongguk could read any words on it.
Seokjin opens the door and moves his arm towards the inside. "Welcome. You may enter."
"Uh, hyungs... What is this?" Jeongguk asks but it falls on deaf ears as Jimin grabs his arm, pulling him inside their dorm. "Hyung! What's going on—"
Jeongguk cuts himself off when the living room comes into full view.
All the lights are turned off, save for the many flashlights stuck onto the walls, projecting an array of colors into the room like mini spotlights. Balloons and confetti of different shades of turquoise, magenta, and black adorn the walls and furniture. In the center of the room—where Jeongguk is pretty sure the TV used to be sitting—now has two of their blue yoga mats laying on the floor while letter balloons spelling out 'STAGE' are taped onto the wall adjacent to it.
Jeongguk's eyes wander around the room, taking in what's in front of him. He doesn't miss the life-sized standee of one of his favorite idols—Hatsune Miku.
"Oh my god."
"We prepared a little concert for you, Jeongguk-ah! It might not be as close to the real thing, but we hope you enjoy it." Jimin beams at him, while the rest of them are looking at Jeongguk with a similar happy and soft expression—except for one.
"Now that the audience is here, it's time to get this concert started and bring out the star of the show!" Seokjin suddenly stands in the center of the stage, microphone in hand and wearing large shutter shades.
Jeongguk's hyungs turn their heads to the hallway leading to their bedrooms, his eyes following suit. Entering the room is the group's beloved leader—wearing pretty makeup, a stylized wig in twintails, and the complete outfit of Hatsune Miku.
Everyone in the room giggles, save for Namjoon who is looking at the ground in embarrassment and Jeongguk who has his jaw dropped, eyes wide, and a red tint coloring his cheeks (especially when his gaze falls onto Namjoon's thighs, exposed in the area under the skirt and above the boots).
Jeongguk takes a moment to recover, eyes tearing up from everything that his hyungs have prepared for him. "Hyungs... You did all this for me?"
They all approach Jeongguk and envelop him in a big, cozy hug.
"We didn't have anything scheduled today and we all know how much you wanted to go to the concert."
Warmth spreads across his chest as his heart melts. God, he loves his hyungs so much.
Seokjin abruptly taps the microphone a few times, catching their attention. "Alright, save the tears for later! We're here to have fun. Let's get this concert started!"
