Work Text:

Trying to catch her own breath, Cha Young closed her eyes while holding a knife in her hand. She took a deep breath and erased all the hesitations raging inside her mind. "I-I need to do this. That p-psycho jerk," she mumbled. She wiped the sweat streaming down on her face. Vincenzo is badly injured but still fighting to death to beat Paolo and his underlings. Paolo is the only one standing among his enemies, and Cha Young can't seem to endure seeing her lover in his current state ready to give his life up alone for their safety.

She made up her mind and ready her knife to stab Paolo on his stomach. She let her tears fall and ran into him using all her remaining energy. But when she was already near to Paolo, Vincenzo caught the stab of the knife instead. He holds Cha Young's arms and hands in order to stop her in what she was about to do. "Vin..." Cha Young can only murmurs his name in shock. Vincenzo looked directly in her eyes softly. "Cha Young..."

She couldn't stop her tears in that moment. "Vin.. why?" Paolo is currently laying down and trying to get up. Only their heavy breaths are making sound around them.

Vincenzo shook his head slowly. "C-Cha Young.. don't do this, p-please.. I don't want you to d-do this. Don't be like me. P-please.." he whispered gently to her. Cha Young sobbed while looking at him. "Y-you could kill him in that knife, don't do i-it. Let me stay you o-out of this, please. Cha Young.."

She looked down on the knife she was holding, it was almost entrenched in Vincenzo's stomach. Cha Young immediately dropped it and held his arms. "V-Vin.. sorry, Vin," she whispered while crying. Vincenzo smiled at her and wiped her tears carefully, avoiding the blood in his hand to land on her lovely face. "It's okay, Cha Young. It's okay, don't cry," he softly said to her.
