Prologue
Mr. and Mrs Dursley of number two Pembroke Lane were perfectly happy, thank you very much. Mr Dursley was tall and blonde; he had slimmed down quite a bit compared to where he was in his youth.
Mrs Dursley was small and frail, with long dark hair and doe-like brown eyes. The couple had three small daughters.
Elinor Dursley was every bit her fathers' daughter. Charlotte was a miniature of her mother.
Matilda Dursley (Tilly..if you please), however, looked nothing like her parents, except for the smattering of freckles on her nose and cheeks. No the ginger child with deep green eyes was a picture-perfect image of a great aunt that she would never know. Tilly knew one thing..she shared her eyes with her “Uncle” Harry, which for a ten-year-old girl was pretty special…Uncle Harry was her Godfather, after all.
The Dursley home was full of magic and whimsy, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Mrs Dursley was, after all…………a witch.
But it wasn’t always this way. There was once a time where Mrs Dursley could never imagine marrying a Muggle, let alone give birth to his children. She wasn’t called “The ice queen” of Slytherin house for no reason.

There was a time where Mr Dursley would shudder at the mention of the word magic. A time where he didn't know whether “Uncle” Harry was dead or alive.
This dear reader is the story of a woman who used pride to mask her family's darkest secret.
Of a man changed by circumstance
Of grief
Sacrifice
And love
Most importantly…this is the story of..redemption
