Chapter Text
It has been a good five months since he received One for All from the symbol of peace, the number 1 hero, All Might. And with his Field-Commander, Exia, with him to help control this new power. It should have been enough, and yet, this power still felt forgien to him.
He does feel more powerful, yes. One For All did empower him and his Stand, Bad Company. But sometimes, he felt as if he wasn’t in control of his movements, like he was being possessed by something. Sometimes, he would be a little excessive with the firepower in fights that didn’t require such measures. Hell, he almost permanently injured All Might’s mentor.
Don't get him wrong, a power up is a power up nevertheless.
His stand got stronger, like he did. For example, his infantry unit got an upgrade in the form of diverse weaponry and other artillery. He could also control the types of bullets they used and other factors such as ammo clip size.
His heavy infantry unit also got an upgrade, in the form of a larger variety of vehicles and other machinery. Tanks and helicopters aren’t the only vehicles he could use now. Aerosmith and Notorious B.I.G also have been upgraded. Aerosmith has a missile launcher on its wings whilst Notorious B.I.G has more armor covering its body.
Another problem is using his Stand, not the stand itself. Summoning it was now a chore, it’s harder to focus on maintaining it’s form. Usually, it would be like second nature, he could bring Bad Company to the human plane without a second thought. Now it would take a second or five to focus and summon.
‘It’s probably nothing.’ He thought without much care, he then went to bed to sleep. Except he couldn’t, he had been twisting and turning for the past 5 hours until finally falling asleep, dreaming about how he would pass the entrance exam.
------
After a painful morning of waking up and getting ready, he walked to the entrance and basked in the glory that is the UA gates. He had worked hard on getting to where he is, but he wouldn’t change a thing. He has a stand, he’s All Might’s successor.
‘Nothing could possibly ruin this moment.’ he thought as he took a step forward… and tripped. ‘I spoke too soon.’
The impending doom that was the floor never happened, instead, he was only one inch away from the floor. He was floating, but how? Suddenly, his brain went into a fight or flight mentality, his brain was moving at about a hundred miles per second if it could walk, trying to find an outcome that could release him from this strange, yet familiar, hold.
“Hey! Are you okay?” A sweet and soothing voice asked. Izuku slowly turned around to see a petite figure with long, green, silky hair down to the waist. It was Midoriya Izumi, someone he would rather not see. Although, she doesn’t seem to recognize him. He quickly picked himself up as Izumi let go of her quirk, releasing her hold on him. He tried to walk away but was stopped by a hand on his shoulder.
“OI! She asked you a question! Maybe you should show some thanks.” A sandy, blond teen yelled. He instantly recognized this voice as Bakugo Katsuki’s voice. He slapped away his hand and ran towards the entrance, away from the two people he detested the most.
“That was rude...” Izumi said, “Whatever… Come on, Kacchan!”
“Yeah, yeah.” Bakugo replied, they both walked towards the entrance into the halls of UA.
Izumi took her step forward towards becoming the hero she promised someone she’d be.
“Time for us to become heroes!”
