Steam filled the hallway as the door of the bathroom slowly swung open - Felix had just finished having a long, relaxing, and deserved shower to ease his sore body. He felt much better now that the heat of the water that ran over his skin was enough to ease his muscles and the tense positions they had taken over the course of his busy day.
“Hyunjin?” Felix called out as he held onto the towel that was lazily draped around his neck and over his shoulders, but there was no response from the other. He continued to look around their shared apartment - going to their bedroom first where Hyunjin usually was after Felix was done showering, but this one time, he wasn’t.. And it kind of confused the younger boy, but it also sparked some kind of curiosity in him.
He went to hang his towel up before he left the room, his hands now in his pockets as his slipper-covered feet dragged along the floor; a yawn falling past his lips as he looked in the next room - the room where both of their gaming set-ups were.. But still, he wasn’t anywhere to be seen. So Felix went out into the living room as he looked around - noticing that the door to the balcony was open and there was a very soft noise coming from just past them. Felix couldn’t recognize the song, but it sounded slow.. And it was in English.
“Jin?” Felix called out again as he walked to the balcony, gently pushing the door open to reveal his boyfriend who was dressed in his fancy satin robe that he swore he wore simply for comfort. Felix smiled as he looked at him, leaning against the door frame as he looked along Hyunjin’s body before he reached his head, his smile growing when the taller’s head turned around. “Isn’t it beautiful out tonight, Lix? The stars.. They’re so bright.” Hyunjin said in a soft voice as he moved away from the railing - opening an arm for Felix to join him, and the younger did.
Hyunjin moved to stand behind Felix to rest his chin against the youngers shoulder as he wrapped his arms around him; the both of their heads slightly tilted back so they could look up at the stars together. “Pretty, huh?” Hyunjin asked Felix, who nodded as he looked up in amazement at how bright they were - just like Hyunjin said. The sky had never been this clear in a very long time, and if it ever was, Felix was already asleep before he got a chance to see the stars.
“Cheesy.. But they remind me of your freckles. All those constellations up there that could possibly be constructed across that beautiful face of yours in nearly the same way. I think I noticed the little dipper on your cheek before.” Hyunjin whispered as his head tilted down, pressing a soft kiss underneath Felix’s, now tinted red, ear. “And Cassiopeia. I swear I’ve seen that one along your cheekbone.” Hyunjin continued, “There are so many constellations up in that beautiful sky of ours that at least a few of them have left their mark upon your skin.”
Felix was red as he continued to look up at the sky - his cheeks felt like they were on fire and his heart was beating fast. Hyunjin always had a way with words, no matter what they were talking about. They continued to stare up as Hyunjin hummed along to the slow and soothing music that was playing quietly behind them from Hyunjin’s phone. Hyunjin was humming and swaying gently with Felix in his arms nearly the entire time they were standing there.. But then a certain song came on, and Hyunjin had pulled away.
“Dance with me, Lix.” He said to his boyfriend. Felix turned with a smile and a nod as he went to wrap his arms around the taller boy’s neck, loosely letting his arms cross behind his neck. Hyunjin’s arms had loosely slung around Felix’s waist as he began to sway them from side to side again, their feet moving only slightly as they looked at each other instead of the stars. Their eyes were locked and nothing could pull them from this moment as they enjoyed the close embrace of one another.
Hyunjin pulled Felix closer suddenly - their bodies pressed together as Hyunjin sang along perfectly to the music.
“Just as peaceful as now, I want to be with you forever. I thought that as I was looking at you.”
He sang softly against the shell of Felix’s ear, smiling when the younger boy let out a soft giggle. Felix had wrapped his arms around Hyunjin’s neck a little better; his head now resting comfortably against his boyfriend’s chest, which was vibrating as he began to sing again.
“After meeting you, I was so happy.. I was able to love you so much.”
Hyunjin sang softly, pulling back so that he could look at Felix with a charming smile - one that definitely turned Felix’s legs into jelly as his heart hurt in all the right ways. They stared at each other as the song played, but when a certain part near the end came on, Hyunjin was singing again as he looked directly at Felix.
“ Are you happy after meeting me, too? I’m sorry I could not do more. I’m selfish and unstable, I just wanted to do good for you. I’ve been waiting for a long time, I think I found a perfect love.. After I met you.”
He sang with that same charming smile still on his face as he leaned down to give Felix one gentle little kiss before they were back to holding each other as they continued to sway underneath the stars as the song finished. Felix’s body was relaxing against Hyunjin’s from the comfort and warmth of his lovers arms, but also the soothing sound of the next song that was filling the air around them.
Hyunjin could tell Felix was getting sleepy as he pulled him closer to support most of the boys weight, smiling to himself as continued to move them - nearly lulling Felix to sleep despite the boy still being stood on his feet. He would occasionally continue to sing along with the slow song, but when it finally came to an end, Hyunjin smiled as he looked down at Felix, whose eyes were closed as he rested his cheek against Hyunjin’s chest.
Hyunjin waited as another song came on, continuing to hold Felix to his chest until a few more songs had passed.. Feeling the youngers breathing slowing down but his heart continued to beat quickly against his chest.
“Lix.. Let’s go to bed, hm? That’s enough dancing for tonight.” He said in a soft voice - small chuckles leaving his lips as Felix sleepily nodded and tried to pull away. Hyunjin stopped him by holding onto his lower back which confused Felix at first, but then he was lifted with ease by Hyunjin, who grabbed his phone and took the younger into their apartment, closing the door behind them; leaving the stars and moon to shine over Seoul for the rest of the night.
