Chapter 1: Joakim: “This is my ex-boyfriend, Manfred.”

Chapter Text

It was a sunny morning with not a single cloud in sight, the bright yellow orb that we all know and love as our sun was hanging high in the heavens and shining its powerful rays onto the land bellow. Birds were chirping and it was a perfect 70° Fahrenheit outside, the ideal weather for shorts, t-shirts and sneakers. Joakim was out at the farmer market with Manfred just stocking up on vegetables, fruity jams and whatever else they could possibly need.

A succulent caught his eye and he immediately thought of his bedroom, thinking of how it would add a lot of character and how it would also help to brighten up his surroundings a bit more. He took hold of it and purchased it, placing it in his bag carefully alongside the vegetables and fruits he had just bought.

Felling a finger tap his shoulder, Joakim turned around and was greeted with a familiar face, it was a friend from his youth!

“Johan?!” Joakim exclaimed

“The one and only!” His friend replied

“Herregud! Jag saknade dig gamla vän!” Joakim happily shouted, enveloping his childhood companion in a tight embrace, of which the other returned with equal force.

“Jag också! Jag också!” they laughed

Manfred had also turned around at the commotion and when he saw Joakim with a friend he couldn’t help but smile to himself, “I see you’re enjoying yourself…” he mentions to Joakim.

Of which it gets the Swede to pull away from his friend, “Johan, I have to introduce you! This is my ex-boyfriend, Manfred!” He said a-matter-of-factly and with a proud smile on his face.

Johan could feel his heart skip a beat, ‘ah… that’s… not something you proudly announce???’ he thought to himself, he could only offer an awkward smile and wave to Manfred.

Sighing and rolling his eyes, Manfred shook his head slightly, “You really have to stop introducing me like that…” he shows the man named Johan a ring on his hand, “I’m his husband” he corrects.

Johan’s face lights up, the previous awkwardness washing away, “O-Oh! Congratulations! Both of you!”

To which the two nod and smile, “Thank you!” they reply together in unison, Joakim eyes his friend and laughs, “I’ve got a lot to catch you up on, huh?”

“Pffft- yeah! You sure do!” Johan laughed

And so the three continued the rest of the day together, chatting as they went…

Chapter 2: Joakim, drunk: "Goodbyes are so awkward. Do I go in for a kiss or a hug?"

Chapter Text

…Joakim stumbles over to the door, he’s looking a little worse for wear; mohawk fluffy and disheveled, 5’o’clock after shave, shirtless, shoeless, pants less…overall the man was just a walking hot mess, and not in the sexy kind of way.

The doorbell rang once again and Joakim shuffled on over as fast and as good as he could or at least as best as his drunken stupor would allow him to. Finally reaching his destination, he unlocked the door and opened it, only to see a man in a red and blue uniform.

Joakim squinted at the guy, “Are you the pizza boy?” he asked, very clearly drunk as the delivery man reeled back at the intense smell of alcohol. They nodded, “Yes sir, I am…”

Joakim nodded, “Oh good, good… okay uh-“ he looked around for his wallet but didn’t see it nearby, had he left it on the sofa? Goddamn it… “-shit, wait here, I need my wallet…” he half mumbled off and shuffled his way back to the Livingroom.

Several minutes later, Joakim came back but this time with a blanket draped over his half naked body, he opened his wallet and eyed the delivery guy, “How much?”

“20$, sir…”

“Fuck that’s a lot…” Joakim noted aloud as he searched in his wallet for the right amount, finally finding all the bills he needed, he offered them to the man who took them, counted it and pocketed it. They opened a delivery bag and pulled out the two large boxes of pizza, they offered them to Joakim, who didn’t take them for a second, only eyeing them before turning his attention to the delivery guy again.

Still very clearly inebriated by the alcohol running through his system, he opened his mouth and spoke up, “"Goodbyes are so awkward. Its like…-“ he thought for a brief moment, “-do I go in for a kiss or a hug? Y’know?” he asked them, wondering if they understood his predicament.

The delivery man was not getting payed enough to deal with this shit, so he motioned the pizza boxes closer to Joakim, “Please, sir, just take your food." They urged.

Joakim groaned and nodded, taking the food and watched as the delivery guy got their belonging and left. Setting the boxes down, he moved to close the door and lock it once more, “Man… what’s up with him?” he thought, shrugged and then went off with his pizza’s like the happy gremlin he was.

It’s pizza night, baybeee!

Chapter 3: "What is this??? The dark ages????"

Chapter Text

…Joakim politely knocks on the door to Pär’s office room, “Pär? You there, man? I gotta ask you something important…” he asked from behind the door.

Joakim could hear shuffling and sounds of papers being arranged, followed by approaching footsteps and then the door opening, “Yes, Joakim?” Pär asked, clearly looking mildly annoyed. Joakim briefly looked over him and saw that it looked like he was doing something very important that he had interrupted.

“Well?” Pär stressed, wanting the interaction done with so he could get back to work.

“A-Ah! Right! Sorry-“ Joakim took a moment to compose himself and then spoke, “Pär, I’m asking for permission to date your son…” He said and watched as Pär stood there in quiet stunned silence, he knew that by ‘son’, that Joakim was referring to Manfred.

“A-“ Pär stared up at him, “-W-What is this, the dark ages? You know what? Since you asked, no. You have to beat me in a duel first.” He declared.

“A duel?!?!” Joakim asked, shocked, “B-…B-But I don’t know how!!!”

“Well then you better learn!” Was all Pär left him with as he turned around to go back to his work.

Oh boy…

Chapter 4: "Wait, what's burning?"....."Only my desire for you ;)"

Chapter Text

Pär quickly descended the stairs, panic and adrenaline carrying him forward, “A- D-Do I smell something burning?!” he asked, worry and concern in his voice. When no one replied, he made his way over to the kitchen as fast as his legs could carry him.

And there stood Joakim, drunk off his ass as per usual on every Friday night with his shirt off and his pants soon following suit. With a loopy smile, the lovable fool replied back “Only my desire for you…” he said, winking as he did so.

Pär, stood dumbfounded at his husband’s shenanigans while a few inches away from him the toaster was on fire.

“JOAKIM-!” Pär exclaimed, “-the toaster is on FIRE!”

“Uh? Oh… would you look at that…”

“-MOVE!”

Thankfully, Pär was able to put out the flames before they spread anywhere else… he locked eyes with his husband who very calmly drank another glass of wine.

“No more for you” Pär declared, snatching the alcohol away from him.

“B-But” Joakim tried his best pleading puppy-dog-eyed face to get his beloved wine back.

“No!” Pär was firm with his stance, “Let’s go to sleep, Joakim…” he sighed, already ushering his drunk mess of a husband away from the kitchen and upstairs to their shared bed.

Oh, tonight was going to be one of those nights, huh?

Keep criticisms to yourself, thank you. Unless it's constructive, of course.

I write for myself and extremely close friends, no one else. If a story of mine bothers you either: A) Die mad about it ...OR... B) Write your own.

At the end of the day, no one is holding you at gunpoint to read my fics, if you like it? Read it. You don't? Move along. Simple as that.
