Summary:

How powerful is it when one introduces another to their fandom?

Chapter 1: Chapter One

Chapter Text

"Oh my gosh it's the whole Percy Jackson series!" 12 year old Elizabeth Evans exclaimed. She was in her favorite bookstore with her dad and saw her favorite book series at the moment. "I can finally figure out what happens after the stupid cliffhanger in book one."

Lizzie, only being 5'2 at the time being, couldn't for the life of her reach the book on the second to the top shelf. She huffed in disappointment, tied up her cinnamon brown hair, then looked around for an attendant or someone of a greater height. She saw a chestnut brown haired boy who wasn't much taller than her, but tall enough to reach the book she desired to read.

"Excuse me?"

"Yes?" The boy turned around to face her. "Oh uh, Hi! Yes. What do you need?"

"There's a book on a shelf I can't reach and I was wondering if you could get it for me."

"Of course. I'm Flynn by the way." He held out his hand.

"Like Flynnigan Rider?" She asked a bit teasingly as she shook it.

"Kind of, just with more charm. And you?"

"Elizabeth." She led him to the shelf.

"Like Elizabeth Olsen?"

"Who's that?"

"Who's that!?" Flynn exclaimed. "She plays scarlet witch in the MCU. Wait, are you a Marvel fan?"

"Not really, but I do believe I saw Captain America." She said, eyeing him like he was a bit off the rails.

"Well then, you my friend have missed out on a lot. Is this the book you'd like?"

"Yes, thank you." She said as he handed the book to her.

"I'm pretty sure they have an Iron man DVD somewhere here. I'll find it for you."

Before she could say anything he had run off. She quickly found a chair and started reading. Soon she was lost in her book.

"Found it!" Flynn came walking towards her with the precious DVD in hand as she snapped back into reality.

"Oh, thanks. I'll just find my dad and ask him to buy it." He handed it to her.

"I already bought it. Or my sister Cassie did. I forgot to bring money, but I'll pay her back later."

"Are you sure?" Lizzie asked the boy.

"Absolutely! I love introducing my fandoms to people and getting them hooked. It's a fun way to make friends." He said smiling.

She smiled back. Looking at him, she could tell they were going to be very good friends for a long time.
