It's Only Just Begun(ReVamped)

Summary:

Katelyn Weir thought she was just another teen dealing with normal teen life things. Like high school, her annoying brother Benny and of course, her crush on her brothers best friend, Ethan Morgan. But when High School starts, things start taking a turn for the weird and freaky. Like come on! Vampires? Those only exist in those shitty Dusk movies, not real life. And to top it all off, Ethan has a crush on the babysitter. What's Katelyn to do?

Chapter 1: Well, That was weird...

Chapter Text

It's not at all hard to say that I never expected my life to follow this path, not at all. Before the start of this school year my biggest worry was if the guy I liked was finally going to like me back or not. Not, vampires, seers, witches and the like. I just gotta say, was grandma ever going to tell me and my brother about all this stuff? Surely one day one of us would've done some spell or something without intending to and then she'd have to tell us. But if none of this stuff that happened, if none of this happened, would she have told us at all? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at her or upset, just curious about what her plan was. Especially for where we live, the seemingly epicenter for all things supernatural. But seriously, why do so many people wanna do bad things to the people of Whitechapel? Oh! My bad, I should probably explain a little bit huh? My name's Katelyn Weir and I am the twin sister of one Benny Weir. Our best friend is Ethan Morgan and our other friend is Rory. Currently I'm thinking about my life choices as we are fighting off a horde of vampires in a movie theater. Fun times. Well, to get you up to speed about what's going on ill just start from the beginning.

It started off as any other day, the last day of summer vacation, Benny, Ethan and I spent all day goofing off and enjoying each other's company. Then later in the night, we went to Ethan's so he could watch his sister while his parents went out on date night.

I just left the boys to do whatever to go to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a decent looking girl with brown hair and brown eyes. Nothing really rememberable about my looks, just average. No makeup no jewelry. Surprisingly, no visible pimples. This was going to be the year that I was going to confess my feelings to the guy I liked. And hopefully, he will return them. I didn't want to suddenly start acting like a girly girl and wear makeup and jewelry or dresses and the sort. I didn't want someone to like me for someone that I'm not. Sighing I brushed my hands through my hair and pulled it up into a ponytail. Normally my hair length is just above the small of my back, with it up in a high pony, it just barely passed my shoulders.

"What, did you rob an ice cream truck or something?" I heard benny say and decided to make my escape from the bathroom before the guys ate all the goodies. I wanted to get sugar drunk tonight too. Heading into the dining room I looked on in slight shock at all the sweets laid out on the table.

"woah," I said as I took a seat across from Ethan and benny. Ethan looked up at me and grinned replying simply with a "Right?" before going back to the sweets and opening the bags. A laugh from benny made me look up from the treats and look at him.

"we must mark the moment," he said, still laughing. I looked at him confused. What moment could he be talking about; did something happen while I was in the bathroom?

"what moment?" I asked, confusion clear on my face. Ethan looked over at me still grinning his adorable little smile.

"us entering high school Katie." he said. I nodded, right I almost forgot that was the whole reason we were all here tonight. Also momentarily forgotten was jane, Ethan's little sister, who was in the living room not far from us. I don't understand how anyone, let alone a what? A 10-year-old? A child. How can a child like those stupid dusk movies? "lets make this a Sunday to end all..." Ethan started bringing my attention back to him as all of us, minus jane who was simply enraptured by dusk, shouted out "SUNDAYS" and laughing. I smiled as I grabbed one of the like 5 bags of marshmallows and opened it taking a bite out of one them.

"remember grade 5? When you could put 176 of these in your mouth?" Ethan asked benny as I looked back at jane feeling her eyes on us. She was giving the boys this look that just screamed, "boys are stupid." she looked back at me before she continued back to her movie. I giggled to myself as I turned back to the boys. Just as benny responded.

"cha, right. It was 186." benny said all smug like. I grinned at him, knowing he was wrong.

"woah wait. I did 172, you did 176." Ethan replied to him. I looked back and forth between the guys laughing at them, mostly at benny who was trying so hard to prove he was right when he was obviously wrong.

"you barely hit 150!" benny shouted out as I rolled my eyes. Giving him basically the same look jane was giving both of them moments ago. "What?" he asked me, both of the finally remembering I was there.

"Ethan's right bro, you were barely able to get 176 in your mouth before choking. I was the one that got 186, without choking might I add." I replied somewhat smugly. I love picking on my brother, he's so over dramatic sometimes, it's hilarious. I really love the faces he makes. Cracks me up. Benny scoffs and looks down at the bag of marshmallows in his hand.

"of course you'd agree with Ethan" he said mumbling low enough for just me to hear. I blushed a little bit and also looked down at my own bag of marshmallows. It wasn't that big of a secret that I had a crush on Ethan, except to maybe Ethan himself. I think even his parents know. Then out of the corner of my eye I see benny lunging for the bag of marshmallows in Ethans hands.

"I got it" Ethan said trying to get benny to let the bag out, and failing. "no. Mine." he mumbled as he continued to play tug of war with benny over a bag of marshmallows.

"mine," that one came from benny. I rolled my eyes again at the stupidity of teenage boys. Just as I was about to try to break them up and stop them from making a mess, I heard a banging noise. I looked up and then back at the boys, neither one of them seemed to notice the sound so I looked over at jane to see that she did. I looked back at the boys to see that they were now stuffing marshmallows in their mouths.

"remember to count them," Ethan said between marshmallows.

"count them.." benny paused. "oh yeah." and he continued to stuff his face.

"hey Ethan, do you hear that?" jane asked, finally interacting with her brother this night. After noticing that both boys did not hear Jane, I repeated her question. When I too got no answer, I stood up from my chair and walked over to jane.

"wanna go outside to see what it was? Probably just a tree branch or a squirrel." I asked her pointing to the front door and trying to lighten the mood. She seemed kind of spooked.

"that'd have to be a fat squirrel. That noise was loud." she said as she headed to the door, with me following behind her. Just before we walked out the now open door jane looked back at her brother and his idiot best friend, who unfortunately was my brother. She scrunched up her face and looked down at her bunny-doll thing. "teenagers really are dumb, at least boys are." I laughed and told her that all boys are not just teenaged ones. We made our way outside where the sound of banging got louder. We walked over to the side of the house to see one of the bullies from school using a hockey stick to hit what were possibly rocks at the garage. "what are you doing?" jane asked as she crossed her arms. The bully paused in his actions to look at us.

"you do know that's a form of vandalism, right?" I said also crossing my arms in an attempt to look tough. Probably didn't help that I was wearing one of Bennys stripped sweaters.

"what's it look like? And do I look like I car Weir? No one cares what you have to say so just shut up." I glared at him as he responded. How rude do you have to be to still be a jerk to a child.

"it looks like you're trespassing." jane said frowning and stepping a bit closer to me. Either she was trying to comfort me or was trying to comfort herself with me. The jerk just looked at us and frowned.

"why don't you both make like an egg and beat it." he said turning away and continuing to hit rocks at the Morgans garage. I scoffed and placed my hands on my hips. I was just about done with him.

"I'm going to tell me big brother!" jane yelled. I mentally smacked my forehead. Ethan wasn't going to do anything. He's too busy trying to stuff more marshmallows into his mouth than benny. And even if they weren't, they're huge dorks. They would run away peeing their pants no doubt.

"Really? I'm so scared." he said mocking jane with a high-pitched voice. He glared at me and jane and he stopped and looked at us. "I've seen your brother. He may be older but he's not big." and then before I could react, he grabbed janes bunny-doll thing and threw it on the ground. Right before he hit it he said, "fetch." Jane gasped.

"Abbie!" she shouted out as she ran after the doll thing.

"There's no need to be so mean to a little girl!" I yelled at him as I followed jane to make sure he wouldn't try anything else. After jane got her doll thing, we looked back at the jerk only to see his hockey stick standing straight up before falling to the ground. As I was wondering what the heck happened to him jane started walking to the stick. I mean, where could he have gone? And in such a rush that his stick was still in the air while he was gone? My thoughts were interrupted by something falling out of the sky and landing next to us.

"Katie!" jane yelled making me run up to her to get a closer look at what appeared to be the bullies' shoe. What the heck? That's not normal. We looked at each other and then back at the shoe before jane started screaming, causing me to scream as well. Just as our screams stopped Ethans parents pulled into the drive way. They ran out of the car and up to us. Mrs. Morgan looked worried seeing both of us clearly freaked out about something.

"honey. What's wrong? Are4 you hurt? What are you girls doing outside? Girls are you okay?" she asked looking at both of us as she kneeled down next to jane to better be able to hold her daughter. Just then, the boys came running outside, marshmallows falling out of their mouths.

"what?" they both said looking shocked.
