Drink.

Summary:

When KO is at a party for villains during one of his visits to Voxmore, Cosma takes an interest in him and tries to bond with him. What no one else knows is that Cosma wants to hurt both Venomous (for taking Boxmore and making it a profit) and KO (for harassing her). Luckily, a glass in her hands gives her an idea to do so.

Notes:

This idea has been living in my head ever since someone requested I try to do it for "Sweet as Candy." It was something I felt uncomfortable doing because it involved underaged drinking and "love breaking through." As someone who has had a family member addicted and seeing them go through what they did to get their fix it really bothered me. Now. The idea hasn't left me alone. I'm dropping the romance part the person wanted and putting my own spin on it. This is just me working with ideas to see if I can write. I apologize for anyone who is offended by this. I will tag it with tw so people don't have to see it.

Cosma kept to herself at these parties. She didn't want any attention from any of the other villains. Apart from the robots. Having an empty plate and and empty glass made them wait hand and foot on her. Getting her food and some rum (ugh, she preferred red wine). And she could hold her alcohol well, so she could enjoy her time proper here. Eating and drinking only was like eating the money straight from Venomous's wallet.

What she didn't count on was a young human going up to her. "Are you okay, Ms. Cosma?"

Cosma looked down to see- Oh, it was Venomous's hero brat, KO. "I was fine when I was alone."

"Are you... sure? Because it looks like you're just glaring at the party guests... do you want to go somewhere else?"

"Somewhere else? What, did Venomous want to keep you hidden in a box?"

"Well, I mean I'd rather not be here, but seeing you so alone I thought... well-"

Cosma didn't listen as the child kept talking, instead taking more food and another glass of rum from the robots.

"Oh, sorrey I was rambling-"

"Kid, are you thirsty?"

"Thirsty? I mean, kind of but the Professor will get me some water in a few minutes."

"Is that what he said?"

"Well, he said once he got a chance to stop talking to the buyers..."

"How long ago was that?"

"Uh... 90 minutes ago?"

"Why don't you try one of the drinks he's serving at the party?" Cosma grabbed the extra glass of rum.

"Well, he said they're adult drinks."

Cosma snorted. "Adult drinks. It's quite common for children to enjoy alcohol. Especially this one. It's nice and sweet, with a hint of spice." Cosma eyed the boy as he showed signs of being taken in with her idea. "Go on, you've got an adult watching you. I'll make sure everything is fine."

KO took the glass from Cosma, and with one final glance to her, he drank. He then licked his lips after one sip.

"Do you like the flavor?"

"Uh... yeah! I never thought sweet and spicy could be a flavor combination!"

"Go on, I won't stop you. A gulp of rum usually gets the full effect."

"I thought you called it alcohol?"

Cosma patted the chair next to her. "Here, I'll tell you all about the different alcohols and food. It is one of my favorite things to talk about?"

"Alcohol and food?"

"Well, food in general, really."

KO sat next to the Galaxy traveling lizard lady, and took a full swig of the rum.
