Chapter Text
Moving into the dorms was going to be quite the experience, as the girls described it, it was going to be a non-stop sleepover. Or so they thought.
Of course not everybody was as excited. Katsuki Bakugou couldn’t care less about having to see his annoying classmates 24/7, but its not like he hated it. He actually enjoyed it a little bit. Even though everybody thought he hated them, he had grown to not mind them.
—Hey man, could you help me with something?—Eijirou pulled him out of his thoughts
—Sure, whatever—Katsuki followed the red haired boy to his room to help with whatever he needed help with.
He liked him, he was actually the only person he could actually say he liked. Of course he wasn’t going to, but he felt that when they were together he kind of recharged energies.
It was nice.
On a different floor there was another exchange going on. Shouto was checking on Izuku, the two of them had become more and more close since the sports festival. They enjoyed each other's presence and had become really close friends. Something Shouto had never experienced before.
—I can’t believe my Mom almost doesn’t let me come here—Deku chuckled softly, scratching the back of his head
—Why exactly?—he looked genuinely confused
—She was scared I guess, I’m not really the best at staying out of dangerous situations and well, look at me, all bandaged up—Izuku let out a little laugh that made Shouto smile a little bit.
He didn’t really understand the others relationships with their parents, he just started seeing his mother again a couple months ago and his father... well, his father was still the same. It made him feel out of place when the others said such nice things about their parents and their relationships with them, because he didn’t have that, but that was okay for him, or so he had convinced himself to believe.
—Todoroki-kun?—he heard Izuku’s voice suddenly, it pulled him out of his thoughts
—S-sorry, I was just thinking about some stuff—Izuku tilted his head and Shouto couldn’t help but smile, he looked like a little puppy when he did that, it was adorable—don’t worry about it, it was nothing important. Wanna help me with my room?—Izuku’s smile was everything Shouto needed to make a bad day into a good one.
Shouto didn’t really need help with his room, he had already taken care of it, but since Izuku’s room was all done he had nothing else to do, but also didn’t want to be alone, and his presence really made him feel good. Izuku was just over the moon, he had already spent most of the day with Todoroki, and he really enjoyed his company, he really cared for him, he wanted to make sure he was okay 24/7. He was one of his best friends after all.
—Woah—Izuku gasped, Shouto had told him that he needed to do some stuff on his room still but it literally looked like it was from a magazine.
“He’s so rich” he thought to himself and laughed, his room didn’t look nothing like this. This was something else. Tatami on the floor, wooden walls, everything was just so fancy. His room on the other hand looked like a 4. yr olds room. He cringed a little bit thinking about it. He loved it, but he knew that it was weird to have it all covered in All Might merch.
—Um... what did you need help with?—Shouto kind of stood there thinking, he didn’t really need anything, he just wanted to be with him. He needed an excuse, its not like him to feel so needy and didn’t want Izuku to think that he was. He’s always had this i-have-no-feelings kind of attitude but it was impossible to keep it with Izuku, he changed him.
—I wanna move some things around, I’m not really convinced with the layout—He rolled his eyes at himself internally. He had already planned the current layout for maximum use of space but now he has to change it.
—Are you sure? I think it looks good—bless him thought Shouto to himself.
Was he seriously thinking of changing the layout? It was perfect, as if it was thought and planned very carefully to maximize space and make the room look spacious but elegant, and warm and welcoming but professional and private. Everything was strategically put into a specific place” Izuku thought to himself. Maybe it reminded him of his house, maybe it brought back memories.
There he goes into his never ending analysis of everything. Thank god he did not start mumbling like he usually does, he didn’t want to put Shouto into an uncomfortable situation; not when things between them have been amazing the last few days. Shouto enjoyed watching as Izuku paced around his room obviously analyzing everything. He thought it was cute, as most things Izuku does, he’s always so cute and adorable. As the others say, he is like a cinnamon bun, so pure and loving.
He sat on his bed and looked at Izuku, who had just snapped out of his thoughts.
—Yeah you are right, I should keep it this way, shouldn’t I?— he said falling back on the bed, he was actually quite exhausted. He had training this morning with his dad before he left.
—Yes you should—Izuku smiled—You seem tired, I can leave if you want-
Shouto interrupted—N-no, no please stay, lets hang—He sounded kind of desperate—its too early still for me to go to bed, we could watch a movie or something?—nice save, Shouto.
Izuku didn’t want to bother him, he knew his friend was tired and would have no problem going to sleep at...—he looked around for a Clock—7:53 pm. He could totally go to sleep now, its even near his bed time, but part of him didn’t want to leave. He was just so comfortable around him, they could talk for hours or no talk for hours and enjoy each others presence.
Since the Sports festival their relationship has grown and gotten deeper and deeper. He cared so much for him. Like he wanted to grab him and hug him and never let go. But just as friends... right? Izuku shook his head trying to erase that thought.
—Its almost dinner time, maybe we should go downstairs to the others, see how their rooms came together?—Shouto was kind of disappointed, he wanted to spend more time alone with Midoriya. But the mention of dinner made his stomach growl, he hadn’t eaten all day and dinner sounded great.
—WHAT THE FUCK SHITTY HAIR? WHAT ARE THOSE?—they hadn’t even left the elevator when they heard Bakugo’s screams from the common room. There was Eijirou, Asui and Katsuki and Eijirou was wearing... crocs?
—they are called my sandals—he said with a baby-like voice, trying to imitate the vine. They all broke into laughter except Bakugo who had a confused look on his face, was it an internal joke or something?
—They are disgusting, couldn’t you get yourself some normal kind of shoes?—Bakugo asked not screaming, which was a very weird sight
