Work Text:
"Tenyaaaa," Sero said, flopping his head down onto the open math textbook in front of him, black hair spilling over the sides. "I'm bored."
"We've been studying for five minutes, Hanta." Iida's eyes stayed fixated on the page he was reading as he spoke.
"I don't understand math."
"What part of it do you not understand?" the taller teen asked, gently reaching over and brushing the other's hair off of his forehead, blue eyes meeting black ones.
"All of it." Sero sighed, fidgeting with the hairband on his wrist.
"Here, let me see the problem." Iida set his textbook aside on the floor as Sero sat up and turned his worksheet around so Iida could read it right-side-up, pointing his pencil at the first equation.
"I don't understand what that means! I don't get Ectoplasm's explanations."
Iida opened up his folder and took out his own homework. "Well, good thing I finished this."
"You just finished that?!"
"No, I finished it during class."
" Dios mío. " Sero sighed with a slight smile on his face, putting his hair in a ponytail. Iida couldn't help but stare for a moment before his boyfriend snapped him back to reality. "So how do you solve this again?"
"Oh, yes. So see x right here? You're going to want to move it over to y."
"Like this?" Sero quickly flipped the paper to face him, wrote something down, then showed it back to Iida.
"Yes! Precisely. Good job, Hanta."
After a few minutes of silence interrupted only by the quiet sounds of pages turning and calculator buttons being pressed, Sero sighed in relief and stood up from where he was sitting on the floor. "Finally, that's done."
"Should we take a break or work on studying for the English test on Thursday?" Iida said, about to close his book but catching Sero's gaze as the black-haired boy flopped onto Iida's bed.
"Break. Definitely break." Sero said, leaning over to Iida and meeting their lips in a breathtaking kiss.
