NIGHTMARE
She crashed down. It hurt but not too much. She heard the others screaming and she heard laughter.
"Weak! That's all you are!", a voice that sounded familiar screamed and she curled into a ball.
She didn't want to hear it!
"Pathetic! Look! You got them killed! All of them!"
She obeyed and looked around. She froze and slowly tears streamed down her cheeks. Her friends... they laid on the ground motionless and broken.
"You didn't save them! You were weak and that is what you'll always be! Weak! Weak! Weak!"
The word echoed through the silence that followed.
"NOOO!"
Flora woke up crying. She sat straight in the bed and looked around in terror.
"Flora calm down! Shh!"
Hands gripped her and slowly Flora calmed down, remembering where she was.
"What happened sweetheart?"
"A bad dream."
"I figured as much. About what?"
Finger caressed her cheek and Flora shut her eyes again.
"A battle."
"Did the girls die again?"
Flora could only nod.
"There is more behind it Flo. I know that you're not telling me everything."
"It's nothing big..."
"Flora, you woke up screaming and crying at 2 am, of course, it is something big! You are not easily terrified, I should know. You fought against me and the other guys, remember?"
"I do but... Oh, Duman, I'm scared that you'll think I'm ridiculous if I tell you!", Flora sighed and put her head on her husband's chest.
"Flo, we have been married for three years now and a couple for almost seven years. I'm the one who has always been ridiculous. Tell me please!"
"I couldn't save them... I was weak and a voice that sounded like my mother's said it all over.
You're weak! You're weak! You're weak! Sometimes I think it's true..."
Duman clenched his jaw and hugged Flora tightly.
He had met his wife's mother once and had promised himself from that moment that he would never, never, leave Flora alone with that woman again!
She was a manipulator and had caused Flora enough harm.
"She is wrong. You are strong! No one died and the worst injuries were a few broken bones. Flora, never doubt yourself after everything you have done."
"But-"
"No 'but's Flo! As long as you believe that you are strong you'll be and even if you can't believe I'll believe for you, okay?"
"Thanks..."
"Always sweetheart but now let's sleep again. Tomorrow Lola has her big day."
"Yeah, finally she can fly around with Phoenix."
Flora laughed at the idea of her and Bloom's daughter flying and scaring everyone and both fell asleep thinking of their little family.
