Until You’re Mine (completed story but under construction for now)

Summary:

Perhaps it was her charming, charismatic and exuberance that captivated him so. With this girl being his first romantic interest, he wasn't too confident in his capabilities to win her over. Megumi Fushiguro would have gone to his teacher Gojo Satoru for advice. However, strangely enough, it it seems like the two of them both had desires towards the same person.

Gojo is the strongest, he's the best at everything, there isn't anything that he can't do. But Fushiguro wasn't going to let him have what he wants so desperately to be his. He wasn't going to let his guards down, he wasn’t going to let him have her.

He needed to win her over, make her fall for him no matter what. He wanted to have her all to himself, not anyone else.

Chapter 1: Disturbance

Chapter Text

She creeped into the dormitory area alongside Kugisaki Nobara, her favorite underclassmen. They were both inebriated, their steps staggering, hands covering their mouths as a futile attempt to muffle their laughter.

“Nobaraaa~” she said in a sluggish tone, one arm flung over the red headed girl, the other holding onto a pair of black heels.

“Y/N! quit hanging onto me! You're dragging the both of us down!” They continued walking and snickering at who knows what.

Nobara dragged her along, walking towards the 2nd years' dorm section. As they were was just about to arrive at Nobara's dorm, the door two rooms down the corridor swung open.

“What’s with all the noise? It’s late, quit making a ruckus out here.”

Stepping out of his room, a tall looking boy with spiky hair which he couldn't seem to flatten.

Megumi Fushiguro - in his black sweater and grey sweat pant (probably the only thing he wears to sleep), stood firmly, his hands rubbing the back of his neck.

An annoyed expression on his face as he looked down at the pair of them. It was indeed late, she and Nobara was only out this late because of a party they were invited to by normal high schoolers they were acquainted with in downtown Tokyo.

“Fushiguro!” Y/N called out, finally letting go of her friend. Her arms flung over the boy, clinging onto his body.

His cheeks flushed red. This was all so sudden, he had no time to react nor to think of anything to say.

One arm holding onto her waist to prevent her from falling over, the other covering his face, trying to hide the dark red that's etched across his cheeks. Fushiguro tried his best to hide it but his efforts were no use.

“Gosh I’m toasted... you two have fun, don’t forget your heels Y/N-senpaiii” Nobara said as she headed back to her own room, leaving the two of them standing there alone.

“Drop the senpai already, it's laaamee” she said while yawning. She's a total lightweight, Y/N peomised herself that she wouldn't ever get this drunk again, but clearly- it failed.

“Senpai, please stop clinging onto me.” Fushiguro finally said after a minute or two. He’s still quite taken aback by her sudden action, she isn’t usually touchy like this at all, not with anyone.

It must’ve been because she’s intoxicated and exhausted, he thought. It couldn’t be anything else, right?

Before he knew it, the girl clinging onto him was asleep … How could anyone on earth fall asleep so easily?

He sighed, then picked her up carefully onto his arms. He wasn't intending to do this, but he couldn't bear to wake her as she was already snoozing every so peacefully.

He carried her all the way over to the third years’ dormitory section. It was over the staircase across from the common room area.

Fushiguro stopped at her room. “Y/N L/N” written on the door.

Just as he thought his mission was done for the night, there was a problem…

Y/N's room was locked. The boy let out yet another sigh. There wasn't anything he could do in this situation, it's not like he could just barge into anyone else's room at this hour. Perhaps he could’ve gone to his teacher - Gojo Satoru- but the last thing in the world he would want to do was to ask Gojo for help opening the door into a girl’s room while he’s carrying her in his arms. What would that look like? No way.

The girl came here empty handed, with nothing else but her heels, and dresses like hers don't have any pocket space anyways. He figured she couldn't have had her keys with her. How irresponsible.

Fushiguro had no other choice but to go back to his room. Maybe he’ll just sleep on the couch tonight.

Opening the door and walking into his room, he placed the girl down on his bed. This seems so weird, he thought. His cheeks were flushed again. Gosh, thoughts. He shook his head.

Remembering she had thrown her heels outside, he came back out to get it. Just how irresponsible can you be?

After settling into his "couch bed" he had made for himself tonight, Fushiguro turned over to look at her from where he was. The girl was still sound asleep, her face full of makeup.

Wouldn't that be bad for her skin? He got up from his already comfortable position and walked over to his bathroom. He remembered the baby wipes he must've had somewhere (Gojo would randomly walk into his room with baby wipes saying “Megumi~! You’re so grown already, getting so tall, here, have some baby wipes so you can stay a baby forever.” How annoying, he thought, is that man really the world’s strongest sorcerer?)

Fushiguro sat down next to the girl, carefully wiping the makeup off her face.

She's so pretty... so pretty.

Her long hair, it’s a pretty color, not too dark nor too light. Her lips were flushed pink, slightly parted. He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ears as it fell onto her face, noticing small beauty marks printed onto her beautiful face

It's not like he's never seen her before, they see each other almost every day.  Yet, this was the first time he's ever been so close to her. Oh my, she has pierced ears, how come he hasn’t noticed? Maybe he should pay more attention to her after all.

After cleaning her face, Fushiguro walked over to his closet, looking for a shirt he could put it on over her little black dress. He just did' want her to be cold throughout the night.

After placing the blanket over her, he turned off the lights and was ready to head back to sleep.

Fushiguro dozed off for a while, but suddenly awoken by a someone plopping on top of him.

Huh? What’s going on? He confusedly opened his eyes. The girl that was just lying on his bed with his shirt on a while ago was now lying on top of him. She was still sleeping soundly though. How did she even get here? Was it on purpose? Or was she sleep walking… Man, she's confusing me. He thought to himself.

Obviously, he wouldn't want her to wake up to find herself lying on him, he stood up and carried her back to his bed.

As Fushiguro was turning around to go back to sleep, he felt a grip on the back of his shirt.

“Stay here, I don’t like sleeping alone, it’s cold.” He heard a small whisper. His heart somewhat skipped a beat, he couldn't tell if he was half asleep-dreaming- or was this actually happening.

He sat down on his bed, he knew it wasn't right to sleep next to a woman without her conscious consent. Although she did ask him to stay, but she’s intoxicated and half asleep, she's not in her right mind. But she's cold, she's lonely, would complying with her wish just for tonight be okay?

“If you're cold, I can get you another blanket, but I can't sleep next to you L/N-senpai... it's... not right." His face reddened from the very thought of it.

However, her grasp did not loosen. Y/N clung onto him, arms wrapping around his waist so he couldn’t get up,

“Just stay. I want you to stay” Drunk actions, sober thoughts...

He had no other choice but to stay, he tried to take her arms off him but she wouldn’t budge. She seems… fragile, she was holding onto him so tightly, she seemed.. quite afraid. He knew she would never have done this if she wasn't in this state, and he knew it's not what he would do either. But staying by her side just for tonight should be okay, shouldn't it?

“Alright then, goodnight, senpai.” He finally gave in, the drowsiness already kicking in hard, he needed to rest.

He stayed there and dozed off until morning.

Chapter 2: Keys

Chapter Text

Y/N woke up to bright sunlight shining through the paper thin curtains.

She couldn't recall much from the previous night. She only remembered vaguely entering the party with Nobara, upbeat music, dancing, drinking - A LOT of drinking, and… making out with someone…?

She rubbed her eyes, and looked around. Wait... this isn’t her room, nor Nobara’s..

Who’s shirt is this? Who's ROOM is this?!

“Good morning L/N-senpai” came in a spiky haired boy in his white tee, carrying a bowl of fruit.

“Fushiguro...Megumi… Huh? How.. did I end up here? Did I cause you any trouble yesterday? Oh gosh, I must have, I'm terribly sorry.”

She vaguely remembered seeing him yesterday, but definitely not sleeping in his bed and wearing his shirt.

Wait… she checked under the shirt.

Good, clothes still on. Makeup… off?

He saw her frantically checking under the shirt.

“No worries senpai, it's nothing like that. You were shivering so I lent you my shirt, took your makeup off too.”

Her face felt warm all of a sudden. This is really embarrassing. Did she do anything embarrassing ?

“Oh yea, of course not, I wasn’t worried about that. Did I cause you trouble? I’ll go back to my room now, Thank y-”

He cut her off by jokingly placing an apple on her head and smiled, “Of course not. Here, have breakfast.”

What a gentleman, she thought. She had always known him as her junior who’s very serious about his work and studies. She sees him around since all the students often do activities together, but he wasn't exactly too talkative, so she never really had the chance to have a serious conversation with him.

But after all that happened, she saw him in a different light, a light that has never been shined on him before. And also, that white tee... it looks so good on him. He looked a lot taller - perhaps manlier.

“Is there an event today?” She asked.

“Not particularly,” Fushiguro replied,.

“Just this little work study Gojo-sensei wanted me to accompany him on, he’s such a pain in the ass sometimes honestly.”

She let out a little laugh. Y/N knew the two of them were close, but she'd never hear anyone call Gojo Satoru a pain in the ass before.

Bang! The loud noise startled them both.

“FU-SHI-GU-RO! FU-SHI-GU-RO! FU-SHI-GU-RO!"

Marching into his room, came Itadori Yuuji, and her friend Nobara, the other two second years. With...speaking of the devil - Gojo Satoru.

“You’re so loud, shut it.” Fushiguro annoyingly said.

“Y/N?! What're you doing here?”

Of course Nobara had to point her out. Y/N tried to make herself as invisible as she could by hiding behind the blanket, but obviously, it wasn’t effective .

“Y/N?” The white haired male spoke.

She stood up from Fushiguro’s bed and strode over to Nobara to give her a little smack. Whyyyy would you do that? Why on earth point me out?

“Ah, you. Didn’t see you there, I apologize.” Gojo Satoru said as he came over to Fushiguro’s breakfast fruit bowl and took some for himself. Fushiguro shot him a dirty look.

‘L/N-senpai..” Itadori finally said something after a while.

“Is that Fushiguro’s shirt on you?”

Shit. This must've looked so bad.

The room went silent, she felt her cheeks burn hot red. By now, everyone was aware of this and all eyes were on her, except Fushiguro’s. He was fidgeting with something to distract himself.

“Oh~  what’s this?...” Gojo Satoru came closer to her, he said with a teasing smirk on his face.

“It's not like that sir, it’s nothing really … I was just drunk yesterday, with Nobara and I forgot...my keys.'' Her breath hitched as he stepped closer to her, invading her personal space, towering over the girl. She couldn’t bear looking up at him.

“Forgot.. Your keys huh?” he said, pulling out a small keychain, hooked on it was a little flower design.

“Does this happen to be yours? By any chance? Ms. L/N?”

Her face was completely flushed by now, her heart was beating so fast, he was so close to her, she could feel her heart rate accelerating out of nervousness and embarrassment. Fuck. He was so close.

“That’s enough sensei.”

The keychain was snatched from his hands. Fushiguro pulled Gojo away from her.

“Don’t stand so close to her, can't you see you’re making her uncomfortable?” His tone was audibly irritated.

“Fushiguro handed the keys over to Y/N, she thanked him and rushed out of the room. All she could feel right then was embarrassment, humiliation and... this strange fluttering feeling in her stomach. She really just wanted to be out of there as quickly as humanely possible.

“Sensei!”

Fushiguro turned around after she left, oh he was pissed.

“What was that all about? Why did you have to get so close to her?"

Gojo smirked and rubbed Fushiguro’s head, “Just giving the girl back her stuff, why the bothered tone Megumi? Did I do something wrong?''

It's not like he actually did anything wrong in particular, Fushiguro was just hoping to spend more time talking alone with her but they just had to interrupt.

“Fushiguro, why are you so angry?” Nobara asked. He didn't know why either...

“Are you perhaps… Jealous?” Itadori continued teasingly.

“I am… not.” He said. Yet, a red blush forming on his cheeks. He covered his face, Fushiguro felt so embarrassed, he walked out of the room to avoid any other questions or interrogation by that lot.

“Oh yea he definitely is.”

“I see he has taken a liking to Y/N.”

Oh? Has he now? thought Gojo.

Chapter 3: Jealousy

Chapter Text

She rushed back to her dorm room as fast as she could.

What the hell just happened?  She still couldn't process everything just now.

Y/N knew Gojo was notoriously flirtatious towards women. But never would she have ever thought he would act that way towards his student, especially not her.

Oh gosh, she could not think straight.

Trying her best to shake off whatever just happened, Y/N hurried and got dressed for training later with her fellow third year students.

“What’s with the gloomy face L/N?”

She was approached by the only other female student in her grade, Maki Zen’in.

Maki wrapped an arm around her, dragging her over to the other students.

“Whatever that's clouding your thoughts right now, give it a break. We’re up to some challenge work today.” Maki said as she kissed Y/N on her cheeks and left to join the other students.

Woah what was that… Maki and her had always been close and touchy, probably because they’re both girls. But never like this before, and also, she was aware that Nobara had  developed feelings for Maki, so she had been distancing herself to avoid any misunderstandings.

After their training session, Y/N returned to her dorm room for a break and relax. She was preparing for a therapeutic bath to just detox and forget about all the nonsense that has happened to her in the past 24 hours.

As she undressed  herself and prepared the bath, she heard knocking on the door.

“Give me a moment?" Y/N called out. Frantically turning the faucet off.

The knocking continued. What the hell?

Figuring out she wouldn’t have time to get back into her clothes, she grabbed a towel nearby and went over to open the door.

“Who’s the-''

So shocked by the person standing in front of her, she tightened her grip on the towel to prevent it from falling.

“Your heels, Y/N.”

Oh my god, this blindfolded bastard.

“Oh right… Thank you... Sensei.''

She totally forgot she left Fushiguro’s room without collecting her belongings. She still had his belongings - his shirt. Her face turned pink, just at the mere thought of that boy.

“Your face is red Y/N. No worries, I’m not here for anything else.” Gojo said - in a somewhat a suggestive tone.

“I don’t think that’s appropriate sir, now if you’d excuse me.''

She slammed her door.

What was that? What’s his problem? Why did her face get red just by thinking about Fushiguro?

Fushiguro was rummaging through his room, trying to find her heels. He could’ve sworn she left her heels in his room before running out. When all of a sudden, he heard a voice.

“Megumi, looking for something?”

The tall blindfolded man stood outside his door, leaning onto it.

“Yeah, have you seen  L/N's h-''

Gojo cut him off, to his suprise.

“Heels? Oh yea I found it over there so I returned it.''

What? This is getting irritating. Why was Gojo in his room without permission while he was out?

Moreover, Fushiguro was secretly using this as  another chance to speak to her again, but that opportunity was taken away from him.

He shoved Gojo out of his room and slammed the door. He couldn't seem to control his temper when it comes to her, it's confusing him just as much.

Maybe he would get a chance to speak to her at dinner? Maybe not.

Y/N was quite the opposite of him. She was like a ray of sunshine, outgoing, extroverted, talkative, exuberant. She was always surrounded by people, her simple presence just lightens the atmosphere. She was like a shot of expresso, awakening anything and everything in people - in him.

He was just.. well, for the most part, he's just there. Fushiguro doesn't talk a lot, he's not the one to initiate conversations, he'd only respond if asked. He knew he wasn't good around crowded groups, and finding her all by herself wasn't going to be the easiest task.

And so it came dinner time. All the students came out to the common room area to share their meal.

The second years returned from their training, looking exhausted.

Nobara walked in, the first thing she saw was Maki wrapping her arm around Y/N. She walked over and sat between the two of them.

Dinner time is always a good time for everyone to socialize with one another, it was always enjoyable.

“Oh yeah, how was that party the other day?” Yuuta asked.

“Where do I even start…” Maki replied,

“Those two were onto some heavy drinking, both too drunk to even properly stand up. I  had to get a drive for them back first.” She pointed over to Nobara and Y/N.

“Is that even allowed, aren’t you underaged?” Panda questioned them - probably because he envies them, no animals allowed in parties... right?

“Probably not. We snuck it in, don’t know how but we’re not in trouble yet.” Maki answered, dismissively.

"Anyways, .... " They all spent the next ten minutes or so listening to the girls talk about the party they attended.

“Oh yea, and then L/N was like, totally all over me. She made the first move and the next thing I knew, we were making o-”

Maki was cut off when Nobara suddenly sat up. She turned over to look at Maki, with an unsettled expression on her face.

“What’s wrong? What’s with the look?” Maki asked.

Everyone else went silent. Completely silent.

“...Did that happen? Me with you Maki?” Y/N broke the silence. Scrambling her brain to remember what exactly happened that day. She certainly did remember making out with someone…But Maki?!

Nobara stood up and left the common room area.

“What’s the problem?” Itadori asked, sounding genuinely confused.

Oh no. This isn’t looking so good.

“Sorry, I’ve got to go. I'll catch up with you guys later.” Y/N stood up from the dinner table and went after Nobara.

What’s with this feeling? His throat was starting to feel dry.

“What’s up with Kugisaki?” Maki sounded confused. None of them knew of Nobara's hidden feelings for her anyways, so everyone was just as clueless.

“Maki, did you really kiss her?” Yuuta asked.

“Well yeah, I told you, we made out. Why, is there like... a problem? I thought we knew I was into girls.”

"No, not a problem, and of course we knew that Maki." Panda replied.

But... there was a problem. For him at least. What’s this feeling? Is it perhaps… jealousy?

Fushiguro knew he wasn’t entitled to feel this way. After all, she didn’t belong to him, so she could kiss whoever she wants, she could do whatever she please. But deep down he also knew that he wanted to be able to openly feel this feeling. He wanted her to be his, not anyone else's.

“Thanks for dinner, I’m leaving now,” Fushiguro got up from his seat and headed back to his room. He didn't really feel like staying there, it's honestly strange how emotionally driven humans can be, he thought. One moment he's fine, happily enjoying a meal with everyone else, the next, he's not. Gosh. He kept on replaying Maki's words. How he wished he was the one saying them.

It was dark outside, Y/N couldn’t quite locate her friend.

“Nobara!” She called out, again and again.

After a while, she finally found the red haired girl sitting on the stairs leading down to the baseball pitch.

“Listen, I know you're probably furious with me right now, but please, I was completely drunk, like- not in the right mind drunk. Trust me Nobara, I would never do anything of that sort… and not to you, never."

Nobara didn't answer.

"Come on, go back, it’s cold.”

She reached over to grab a hold of Nobara’s hands, but she shook it off.

“I know you didn't do it on purpose. I know how you are when you're drunk. But I'm allowed to feel this way am I not? Answer me L/N-san, I'm allowed to feel jealous,  no?

She was so taken aback by the sudden formality. Nobara really was upset.

“Nobara please, I'll go back there and tell Maki that it was all just an accident and it wasn't supposed to happen, I'll explain it to her, I'll clear up any misunderstanding.”

The cold air was hitching her breath. Her hands going numb from the breeze.

Nobara still wouldn’t budge.

“Do as you please.” she said.

Y/N really was on the verge of tears.

“I’m sorry, I would've told you everything if only I could just recall what happened. I would have never hid such a thing from you, and I hate myself for this. But please, can we talk about this inside?… Let's go back, I don’t want you to get sick…”

It was clear that the girl wasn't going to move, so Y/N sat down next to Nobara. She knew her friend too well, she knew that she needed time to process, and for her actions to cause her friend such pain, she wasn't going to just let it slip. She was going to stay despite her hands feeling like it's about to fall off from the cold.

“I really like her, you know? Everytime I see her so close around you, I get so jealous, but… I don’t know if I’m more jealous of her for getting to spend so much time around you, or you, for being so close to her.” Nobara finally spoke.

“I’m aware, and I have been distancing myself from her lately, I really didn't want you to get the wrong idea.”

“I’m not asking for that, you don’t have to distance yourself… It's just that...I wish she would just notice me more.”

“Nobara, I think you really should tell her, better now than later.”

“Oh I don't know." She shook her head. Slowly but surely, Y/N could sense that the two of them were going back to normal, she couldn't help but smile to herself

"I mean, you know she's into girls, that's halfway there, isn't it?"

Nobara smiled at her.

"Perhaps I will tell her one day. But what about you? What are you going to tell Fushiguro?"

"Tell him...what?"

“It’s cold, let’s go inside Y/N” Nobara gave her a cheeky smile as the two of them walked back into the dormitory area.

"Wait, but what do you mean by telling Fushiguro?"

"I don't know, what do you think there is to tell him?" Nobara smiled, Y/N knew her friend had this thing where she would make her infer what she's thinking, it gets confusing at times, but she's gotten used to it.  Y/N was glad that they resolved the issue, but what did Nobara mean? What did she have to tell Fushiguro? It’s not like there’s anything special she wanted to tell him. Not that she’s aware of…What is there to tell him?

Back in his room, Fushiguro was lying on his couch, reminiscing. He really didn’t get it, where are all of these feelings spilling out all of a sudden? He wanted to speak to her again, he wanted to be around her again, alone with her again. Feelings are so complicated, he thought. She wasn’t his or anything, why was he so envious of Maki?

Would he have felt the same way if she had kissed someone else? Anyone else?

Chapter 4: His Shirt

Summary:

She didn’t see it lying there before, but now she did. Taking notice of the black shirt two sizes too big for her lying at the corner of her bed, she had totally forgotten to return it to Fushiguro.

Chapter Text

It was indeed a weird night for her.

She couldn't bring herself to face everyone tomorrow, especially not Maki, not after what happened.

Y/N felt angry, frustrated, confused - all at once.

How did that even happen? Why did she even kiss Maki in the first place? Would her reaction to that information at dinner throw Maki off? Would that reaction make Maki distance herself?

She didn’t want to think of anything anymore. Ignorance is bliss after all. So Y/N went straight to bed, preparing for a good and long sleep.

She didn’t see it lying there before, but now it has just came to her attention.

That black shirt two sizes too big for her lying at the corner of her bed. That exact black shirt he had put on her that night.

Y/N had totally forgotten to return it to him. He might’ve wanted it back sooner, it’s quite late now.

She knew she could just go over to his room and return it, but was it necessary to do it right now?

She knew Fushiguro was awake, he’s usually up until 3 or 4 in the morning, she had ran into him once a while ago.

But was different now.

Thinking back of what Nobara had told her earlier, her cheeks felt warm once again. Was there anything in particular that she wanted to say to him?

Body moving before mind, she had already gotten up from her bed and headed towards the door.

Now that I’m outside, might as well just go and return his shirt, she thought to herself. Y/N wasn’t completely sure of her decisions, she really didn’t want to become a hindrance and bother him,.

But… at the same time, she wanted to see him, to be around him.

Maybe it’s just his kind and polite nature, but she felt so safe sleeping in his room that night, she felt so safe around Fushiguro.

Coming to a final conclusion, she decided to go return his shirt.

Walking outside to the common room area, she saw something that made her jump. She covered her mouth, not wanting to make a single sound.

There stood the white haired man. This time, without his blindfold, he looked like he was just back from going out somewhere, doing something.

“Sensei, what are you doing here? You really scared me.”

“I could ask you the same question, why aren’t you in bed yet?”

Still processing her previous thoughts, she shook them off and replied, "Nothing, I was just… going to return something.”

“Oh? Really?”

Gojo took a step closer to the girl, she could feel his breath at the top of her head.

“Yes, sensei.” He lifted her chin up so she’s facing him, eye to eye. Her heart thumping at an alarming rate, why was he so close to her?

Gojo leaned down to whisper into her ears, his hot breath against her ears making her shiver.

“Be sure not to do anything promiscuous, Fushiguro’s innocent, let's keep him that way.”

Her face scarlet, she turned her back to him so he wouldn’t see her flustered expression.

“What’re you saying sir? I would never think of stuff like that… ever.”

She tried to walk away from him, but felt a grip around her wrist. Y/N didn’t turn to face him this time, she couldn’t.

Gojo leaned over to speak to her ears once again. This time, he spoke slow and quietly, sending chills down her back.

“Come see me if you ever think about stuff like that.”

He let go of her wrist and left, just like that.

What had just happened...?

She couldn’t even process the reoccurring events. How is she supposed to go return Fushiguro’s shirt now? Was this all necessary at all? What trick is this man trying to play?

Y/N took a deep breath and collected herself, reminded herself why she even left her room in the first place.  She wasn’t going to back out of her plan now.

The girl continued to walk across the common room area towards the second year’s section.

Knock Knock.

There was a probability he might already be asleep, she didn't want to knock again, yet she didn’t want to give up just yet.

Y/N stood with her back against his door, pateintly - no, anxiously waiting.

A minute or so later, the door opened without her noticing. This made Y/N lose her balance and falling backwards, stopped by a body pressing against hers.

“Senpai?”

Fushiguro Megumi stood there, his hands holding onto her shoulders to stop her from falling over.

“Fushiguro... I came here to...." She was suddenly at a loss for words, why now?

"No... actually, am I bothering you? Sorry.. I’ll go back now.”

“No, you’re not bothering me. What is it that you need me for?"

Such a gentleman, even the way he talks made her feel secure. He’s  just so gentle and kind.

“Oh, it’s nothing. I just came over to return your shirt, you know, the one you lent me the other day.”

She didn’t though, she didn’t  come here just to return his shirt. I wanted to see you - come on, say it, don’t be such a coward.

“Right, thank you senpai.” He took the shirt from her hands, their hands grazed over each others'.

“Well, if that’s all, have a good night.” He gave her a weak smile.

As Fushiguro was about to close his door, she finally got her words together,

“Actually, I came here also because I wanted to see you.”

Already half closing his door, he opened it again.

“Pardon?”

Oh my god this is so embarrassing, she thought.

Y/N took a deep breath, collected herself and repeated,

“I came here… because I wanted to see you, I wanted to… see yo-”

He opened his door again.

“I heard you, I just wanted to hear you say it again.”

He took a step closer to her, she was looking down at her feet.

“Is there a problem, senpai?”

Her heart did a little leap, she couldn’t dare to look up at him. Something about his voice and the atmosphere made it almost hard for her to breathe.

Y/N slumped her head onto his chest, feeling exhausted and worn out from everything that has been going on.

She found comfort in his company, he was her safe place, at least for right now.

Fushiguro was a bit taken aback, the sudden memory of the drunken girl the other night came back to him. Only this time, she was stone cold sober. She was fully aware of her actions.

But he knew all she needed right now was comfort and reassurance. So he comforted her. Stroking her hair, feeling how soft and silky it was. Her hair smelled so nice, she smelled so nice. A pleasant aroma, a sweet scent, a scent he could imagine himself submerging in.

He wanted to see her too. In fact, he was subconsciously waiting to see her, he secretly wished she would came and she did.

The girl wrapped her hands around his waist, pulling him closer to her.

He felt his heart beating faster and faster. So fast that - surely, it would be noticeable to her. And it was. She could tell his heart was beating so rapidly, but so was hers. It's almost like two hearts were beating one beat, thump thump thump, accelerating by the second.

They stayed like that for a while, none of them wanting to move. Oh how he wished this moment could last a lifetime.

She seemed so tired, so fatigued, like she would crumble and fall if he had let go of her.

“Is it okay for me to stay? Just for a while.” she muffled into his chest.

“Just for a while right?” He smiled.

Fushiguro backed the two of them into his room, closing the door.

The lights in his room were dim, his room was always kept so neat and organized. This whole room smells like that shirt he gave her.

“You can stay on my bed senpai, I’ll be on the-”

She shook her head.

“Why? What’s wrong? Would you prefer staying on my couch then? I could make it comfortable for you, anything you need.”

What an idiot, she thought. Y/N tightened her grip on his hands.

“I want to stay here, with you, next to you.”

Oh. Oh

He still thought it wasn't right to sleep next to a woman even after the other night. But now, she wasn't under the influence, nor was she half asleep. The girl needed comfort and her comfort was his priority. So he complied.

The two of them lied down on his bed.

He thought it would be somewhat awkward between them, but somehow, it was so comfortable.

Fushiguro felt so calm, like everything in his little world is at peace when this girl is next to him, when she's holding onto him so tightly like this, he felt needed and wanted. He felt needed not for his power nor anything else, but needed just simply for just existing as himself.

He took the shirt that she had just came to return to him and placed it in between the two of them- to create distance -

“Senpai, you can keep this shirt, if you’d like.” Fushiguro whispered

She’s already asleep.

Oh, well he could tell her again in the morning.

Slowly but surely, he dozed off too, without a problem, without a single worry in mind.

Actually, he was having difficulties falling asleep earlier. Fushiguro couldn’t clear his mind of all the thoughts about Y/N. She filled his thoughts, every hour of the day. He tossed and turned, thinking about his own feelings towards the girl. He's never felt this way before, not for anyone. He couldn't seem to clear his mind. But now, his mind was blank. Now that she’s by his side.

He felt somewhat superior to everyone else because he knew, despite everyone being able to be around her any time of the day, no one else could have her like this, like he has her right now.

Chapter Text

His alarm went off, it startled her awake.

This time, she knew exactly where she was last night and how she ended up here. It wasn't as if she had actually intended to stay for yet another night in his room, but it somehow just happened.

As she was about to sit up, Y/N felt an arm wrapped around her waist.

Fushiguro - still soundly asleep.

He hasn’t seemed to have budge from the of the ear ringing alarm that’s still going off. She couldn't understand how anyone could possibly sleep through that alarm sound. Y/N can't help but smile to herself, he looked so adorable asleep like this.

She reached over and hit snooze.

Turning back around to look at him.

He’s so pretty. His long eyelashes and spiky black hair.

She lightly stroked his hair, caressing his face.

Closing her eyes again, taking in this ever so peaceful feeling and the sweet smelling scent of his room.

“Good morning L/N-senpai, are you awake?”

Startled by the boy’s sudden movement, she moved her hands away from his face.

Raising his head to meet her gaze, he sat up, closing up the gap between them.

Y/N felt her heart beating faster and faster inside her chest. If he had just moved an inch closer to her, her heart would explode.

“Oh right, you should get going before Gojo-sensei and the two shows up again.”

She didn’t know what she was expecting, what was she expecting?  But in some way, she felt... so disappointed

“Right... I'll get going then." It's not as if she wanted to stay and bother him any further, she just... simply wanted to be around him. She wanted to be with him, alone.

"And by the way, thank you for letting me stay.”

“Anytime.” He gave her a smile and got up from his bed.

Y/N was left sitting there by herself. Getting up from his bed, she walked over to the bathroom where Fushiguro was standing, doing his usual morning routine. She just wanted to look at him for a tiny bit longer.

“Well... I’ll be going now, see you around.”

Before she could walk out, Y/N felt a grip around her wrist. He pulled her back into the bathroom, he pulled her closer to him. Fushiguro couldn’t say anything since his mouth was filled with mouthwash

“What’s the matter?” She asked. Quite surprise, this was the first time he'd done something so... sudden.

“My shirt, you can keep it… if you want to, of course.”

This boy has such odd ways of expressing himself, she thought. His actions are sometimes misleading in a way, which left her feeling frustrated.

“Sure, I’ll be taking it then.”

Y/N took the black shirt lying on his bed, bid him a final goodbye, then left. Praying that she wouldn’t bump into anyone on her way out. She couldn't be seen leaving a guy's room in the morning like this... with a shirt in her hand. Gosh how must that have looked? This made her suddenly remember Gojo's words from the other night, she shook the thought out of her mind. Of course not, of course she wouldn't think about anything like that.

She was barely a few steps out of his room.

Great… of course he had to be here out of all places.

Gojo Satoru, it’s him again.

Y/N avoided eye contact as she attempted to rush out of the corridor as fast as possible.

Her attempt was unsuccessful.

She was stopped by a strong arm stretched across her body, the white haired man pulled her towards him, turning the girl around to face the door.

“So you did stay the night here huh? Such a promiscuous girl.” Gojo leaned down to whisper in her ears.

Her face reddened with embarrassment, humiliation and irritation all at once.

How badly she wanted to shove that man away.

Nothing happened between the two of them, why does Gojo have to make it sound that way?

She came here with absolutely no ulterior motive, she simply enjoyed Fushiguro's company, is that such a bad thing?

This man was truly, truly insufferable,

But somehow, and in someway, the whispering in her ears, the heat of his body pressed against hers...

Just something about it made her speechless, dumbfounded, and unable to move.

"You're unbearable." Y/N stried to break herself from him.

He scoffed.

"You wanna see real unbearable?"

Knock Knock

Gojo knocked on Fushiguro’s door,

“Megumi, open up.”

What the fuck?

The door opened, The boy stepped out, wearing an annoyed expression on his face. At this moment, all she wanted to do was dig a hole, crawl in there and never come out again, she wanted to just evaporate and disappear right on the spot. Fushiguro’s expression changed in a split second when he saw Gojo holding y/n with a smirk on his face.

He stepped closer to the pair of them, grabbed y/n by the waist and pulled her away from Gojo’s embrace. The force of his pull was quite strong, resulting in her body slamming against his.

“What’s for breakfast?” Gojo carelessly walked into Fushiguro’s room, acting like nothing had happened whatsoever.

“Oooh, custard bread, would you like some y/n? They’re delicious~”

The man walked over to the pair of them still standing at the door.

“Say Ahh~”

This really threw Fushiguro off, he was already pissed off from seeing Gojo so close and touchy around her earlier. Snatched the piece of bread from his hand,

“She can feed herself, thank you very much.”

Fushiguro let go of the girl.

“Sorry for pulling you so hard, senpai.” he said as he opened the package of custard bread.

“Here, have some, I think you would enjoy it.” For a split second, y/n saw him shooting Gojo a dirty look, which was a pretty usual thing, especially for Fushiguro. However, this time, she can sense that he really was mad at him.

She thanked him, taking a bite out of the peice of custard bread./p>

It happened so sudden, before she even realized it. Fushiguro was leaning down, face so close to hers it made her heart skip two beats. He took a bite out of the other end of the custard bread.

“It’s good isn’t it?”

Fushiguro said as he looked directly over at the white haired man still standing there, leaning onto the wall. Hands covering his mouth to prevent the other two from seeing his flushed expression. It took him a lot of courage to do such, he wouldn’t want Gojo to win, he’s the best at everything already, Fushiguro wasn’t going to let him get the best of this girl.

“Oh? Seems like you were going to save that peice of bread for yourself, why’d you give it to her then? Megumi.”

Gojo said with his usual teasing tone, that was Fushiguro’s last straw, he couldn’t put up with the confident act anymore, he shot Gojo yet another dirty look, then walked out of his room, leaving the two of them behind, alone. He was so frustrated and flustered, frustrated because he couldn’t do anything that made Gojo realize he’s pissed off since he was being so touchy with her. Flustered, since he had acted so boldly towards her, maybe he’d go apologize later and buy her another peice.

Well, that was certainly something … she thought. Everyone has been acting so weird, ever since that night at the party… She couldn’t help but reflect on her own actions, what is it that she had done to make everyone act so weird.

“He seems to be in a terrible mood today isn’t he”

Gojo said as he walked over to stand in front of y/n. He’s been getting very close and personal with her lately and she still couldn’t quite figure out why.

Eyeing the bitten piece of custard bread in her hand, “I'm sure he wouldn’t mind if I… take this from you.” Edging himself even closer to her, y/n isn’t sure if this is the “Gojo effect” or not, but whenever this man gets close and personal with her, always leaving her speechless, imobilized .

He leaned down, slowly taking a bite out of the piece of bread on her hand. Then, staying in the same position, Gojo pulled his blindfold down slightly, revealing his crystal blue eye and white eyelashes. He looked up at her, this made her heart leap and face scarlet, what the hell?

“Stop looking at me like that.”

She tried to cover her face, but he stopped her mid way. Swallowing his bite, he continued to look up at her,

“Then stop liking it so much.”

Gojo stood up to his full height, towering over the girl. He looked down at her with his bare eyes.

All of a sudden, her vision was blocked by a hand. His arms wrapped around her head, Fushiguro stood next to her. He pulled her body closer to his,

“Senpai. Stay away from him while his blindfold is off, he might see you without your clothes.”

Fushiguro glared at Gojo, then pulled her away with him, arm still wrapped around her.

All thoughts coming back to her brain, she finally remembered that with his six eyes technique, Gojo can see under her clothes without his blindfold. Ashamed and embarrassed of herself, she came to a halt, stopping the both of them. “I should’ve realized sooner… this is the horrible.” She covered her face out of embarrassment, this is a habit of her's, she didn’t want people to see her while she’s flushed or embarrassed.

Taking her hands off her face, Fushiguro held onto her wrist while he continued walking. She noticed that they were heading towards the gate, which means they’re going off campus.
“Fushiguro-kun, where are we going?”

“Let’s go out, I’ll buy you another custard bread.”

She wanted to look at him, to see the expression on his face, but at that moment, Fushiguro was walking straight ahead, not turning around to face her, while still firmly gripping her wrist. As they were walking, none of them said a word to one another, y/n had a feeling he was upset, she didn’t want to see him upset.

 “Fushi-”

He suddenly stopped at a halt, making her bump into him. Fushiguro pulled her so she’s standing in front of him, facing each other. He was looking down at her, this made her realize how tall he was.

“Yes?”

The tone of his voice, the way he’s looking down at her and how close they were made her dumbfounded, unable to continue her words. She isn’t usually nervous at all, even around boys, but what’s with this one? His actions confused her and left her feeling flustered and frustrated at times. Weird one.

“Are you okay? You seem a bit upset.”

Answering her with a simple scoff, he grabbed her hand and put it inside his hoodie pocket and continued on walking.

As they arrived at their destination after a while, a small bakery on the side of the road. Entering, the smell of freshly baked pastries hit her, it made her feel so warm. The bakery must be popular since it’s quite packed with people, mostly around their age.

Fushiguro let go of  her hand, he went over to the freshly baked section and picked out two custard breads and a chocolate covered madeleine. While he was picking them out, he heard a group of teenage boys standing close to him, talking to one another.

“You see that girl over there?”

“Where?”
“The one with the weird looking blue uniform. She’s pretty isn’t she?”

“Oh yea, definitely… She looks so out of it, go talk to her man.”

The feeling he had when he found out Maki and y/n had made out suddenly came back, he felt irritated and annoyed at those boys. At the same time, looking over to the girl, she was so out of it, spaced out and looking at the Drinks sign.

“Come on, go up and talk to her, get her cell or something man.” Fushiguro heard one of the boys.

Bam. The sound startled her, making her jump a little.

“You scared me!”

Having spaced out for a bit, lost in the trail of her thoughts, she wasn’t aware of her surroundings. Fushiguro had slammed the Drinks sign, loud enough for her and a few people around them to hear.

“Earth to you. Don’t space out like that in public, senpai.”

She noticed the tone of his voice, despite still using honorifics, he wasn’t talking in that light sweet and polite tone he usually speaks to her with when they’re alone.

“Oh right, sorry.”

He placed a hand on her shoulder and turned her around to face him.

“I got our stuff, let’s go.”

Fushiguro looked over at the group of boys, making direct eye contact with the one who’s about to approach her. The boys backed away. Good. They understood.

He handed her the freshly baked custard bread as the two of them left the bakery.

“Here you go senpai. Freshly baked and not packaged, I like this one way more.”

Thanking him as she took a bite, wow it really was delicious after all. She doesn’t know if it’s this good because he had gotten it for her, or it’s simply just a delicious piece of pastry , or perhaps both.

Noticing that he hasn’t eaten his portion yet, she asked,

“Aren’t you gonna eat it? It’s best to eat it right after you buy it you know?”

“Ah it’s fine, I like to save them for later.”

“Hmm.. would you like a bite?”

She was looking up at him, raising the peice of bread in her hand up to his face.

Swish, he had grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer to him.

“Watch your way.” He said into her ears.

This sent chills down her spine, especially when his hands were on her waist, her chest pressed against him. Looking behind them, there was a person riding a bicycle. Oh. She must’ve not noticed the person biking pass them, if it wasn’t for Fuhsiguro’s quick reflexes, they would have crashed.

“Why are you so out of it today senpai?”

Fushiguro said as he moved his hand from her waist to grab hold of her hand.

“Oh, it’s nothing, there’s just something that’s on my mind.” She was at a lost for words, scrambling to find the right words to say. She wanted to ask if he’s upset or mad at her, she wanted to approach the topic as cautiously as possible, not wanting him to get mad again like how he did back at the bakery when she spaced out.

He stopped walking, turned around and walked closer to her.

“Tell me, what are you thinking of?”

Fushiguro was so close to her now, she was looking directly at his chest, afraid to meet eye contact. She managed to collect her words together and finally spoke.

“I have a feeling I did something wrong, and it upsets you.”

He pulled her in, resting her head on his chest as he stroked her hair. His scent filled up her lungs, that’s it, this is the feeling. She felt so at peace and warm when he’s holding her. A sense of serenity. Fushiguro seems like he’s bad at communicating his feelings, he doesn’t talk much in general. This boy is so mysterious, she thought. It only made her want to know him more and more.

He smiled at her, what a pretty smile. She didn’t get a proper answer from him, but this did reassure her that he wasn’t mad or upset at her. The two of them continued to walk all the way back to Jujutsu Tech.

Gojo Satoru was looking out from the window of his office, seeing the pair of them head back, keeping their distance but hand in hand.

“I’ll show you how a man properly claims his woman.”

Notes:

All of that over a piece of custard bread :)

Chapter 6: Feelings

Chapter Text

After training and dinner was over, Y/N returned to her dorm room.

Normally, she would only have so much time to herself due to her packed schedule.

There was knocking on the door.

Well, guess she won’t be able to have all this time to herself after all. Who could it be at this hour?

On the other side of the door stood Maki Zenin.

Even though she was only two rooms away, it's still quite unusual for her to visit, especially at this hour. This came as quite a surprise to Y/N.

Maki had her hair down, glasses off. Leaning against her door frame

“Hey, why aren’t you in bed yet?” Y/N asked.

“I could ask you the same thing.”

She allowed herself into the room.

They both stood there in silence for a while.

“Is there anything I can do for you?”

Maki didn’t give her an answer, she simply stood there. Looking y/n straight in the eyes.

“Don’t look at me like that, you're making me nervous.”

“Do I make you nervous Y/N?.”

The mention of her first name and the way Maki's edging herself closer to her was making her feel some sort of way.

Y/N was afraid of what this might lead to. She knew she still had dignity in her, that and also the fact that her friend has feelings for this person. Y/N wasn't going to give in to anything, she wasn't going to do anything that she'll regret. She was certain of it.

“Say, you don’t remember what happened that night don’t you?”

“No. I told you, I was drunk.”

“Then… let’s do it again. Let's try doing it sober so you won't forget."

Oh no. This was exactly what she was afraid was going to happen.

Maki was walking towards her, closer, closer.

Y/N tried to back up but she had only backed up against the closet door.

One hand placed on the door, the other on Y/N's waist, Maki was leaning in closer.

Her heart beating so fast it could jump out of her chest at any moment now.

She was at a loss for words.

Y/N turned away just seconds before their lips touched.

“We can’t… I’m sorry.”

She said through closed eyes. Despite knowing deep down that Maki wouldn't force anything on her, she was still afraid to look at Maki. She was afraid to see  what expression she would have on her face at the moment.

Maki tightened her grip on Y/N's waist.

“You like girls too, don’t you?”

She does.

Y/N had always struggled with figuring out her sexual orientation.

She preferred not to put any labels on herself, but she knew for sure that she was also attracted to girls.Very attracted to them.

“I do.”

She couldn't seem to gather her words when Maki soft kissed the exposed part of her neck. This sent shivers down her spine. Making her face burn hot red.

“Then, why not?”

Y/N felt so horribly guilty. She didn't want to admit this, but if it wasn’t for Nobara’s sake, she would have already gave in right then, right there.

“We can't.”

She pushed Maki away.

“We just can’t. I’m sorry Maki. That night must’ve been a mistake, I'm sorry if I had given you the wrong idea.”

Maki backed up, creating distance between them. She seems quite disappointed but she wasn't angry.

“No, I get it, don't be sorry."

There was a moment of awkward silence.

"Why? You with someone? Are you and Megumi like... a thing?”

Hands went directly to cover her face. Just a habit of hers whenever she’s flushed or embarrassed.

“No! It’s not like that... We were just....”

“It’s fine, no need to get so worked up.” Maki chuckled, “I was joking."

Y/N was so relieved. Why did she get so worked up though? It's not like it's anything too serious, isn't it?

"Hey, I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable.”

"It's okay, I hope we've cleared things up."

Maki was in some way similar to Fushiguro, from their words to the way they look. They resemble each other so much, they're both capable of making her feel things.

“Then, I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N.”

Maki gave her a little pat on the head and returned to her room.

She sat on her bed, reflecting on everything that happened so far.

If she wasn't in her right mind just now, who knows what they could've done there. She felt like such a terrible friend, even if nothing happened and she cleared things up with Maki, she still felt terrible.

She’s afraid of starting, because she knows if she starts, she won’t be able to stop.

She was craving the tension.

She was craving something she’d never experienced before.

Thoughts of hands touching her all over, caressing every inch of her body.

Fantasies a teenage girl would have. These gross fantasies.

Maybe it could seem a bit disturbing or bashful to some. But if being a teenage girl was considered one of those things, if being young and stupid meant wanting to experience those things, then so be it.

Attraction is confusing. What's platonic? What’s sexual?

A platonic relationship would be like her and Nobara's. Intimate and affectionate, but in a - just friends way, a nonsexual way.

Sexual attraction... Perhaps, a desire for contact...

Despite turning 18 in just a few months, she hasn't really given it much thought.

But if she were to think of one person that she was sexually attracted to, it would have to be....

A tall figure with white hair and blue eyes came immediately to her mind.

What? Him?

There was no denying that he was attractive. Physically very attractive. Conventionally attractive, one could say.

But it's so wrong to think of him that way.

He’s her teacher, nothing more.

Although, she knew teenage girls having somewhat of a crush on their good-looking male teacher was a common thing, it still felt wrong.

“Come see me if you ever think about stuff like that.”

His words rung in her memory.

She was in fact, thinking about stuff like that.

The thought of this, the concept of sexual desires had completely filled up her thoughts.

God. Feelings. They're so complicated, so hard to understand.

Y/N lied down, trying her best to drift to sleep. She tried to think of something else, anything else.

She thought of him, of Fushiguro.

Fushiguro. What exactly were her feelings towards this boy?

She knew there had to be something. She knew she no longer saw him as just an underclassmen that she greets every now and then.

Was he a friend? Or was he something else?

...

Chapter 7: Temptation

Chapter Text

A few weeks had passed since they had that conversation.

Her days were dull, nothing new, nothing special.

The only difference was that Maki became more and more distant towards her.

The two remained friends, but they weren't as close as they used to be.

Y/N figured this was for the better for her own sake, for Nobara's sake.

She knew for a fact what had happened at that party was a mistake. Plus, it has been made clear that she had no intentions towards Maki.

Still, it hurts seeing how this impacted their friendship.

After that night, she'd promise herself not to get shitfaced again. While it is true that she can't clearly recall anything from that night, what if drunk actions were sober thoughts?

It can't be. It mustn't be.

Perhaps she just wanted some action, and Maki was the first person that was available to her at that moment.

She really wanted to forget about all of this and move on. But it's hard to act as if nothing ever happened despite already getting closure.

Feelings are just so, so complicated. It takes more than any books or words of advice to fully grasp the complexity of feelings. If only she could just be sure of her own feelings, if only she could just figure it out without making everything a mess.

For the past few weeks, the second and third years didn't have any scheduled group training nor missions. The only time they could see each other was during dinner and before lights out - which, by the way - wasn’t a lot of time since their training curriculum was getting more and more intensive.

This only meant that she had less and less time to be around Fushiguro, let alone be alone with him. The last time they were alone together was during their venture to the bakery a while back.

For the past week or so, Y/N spent most of her time hanging around Panda and Inumaki.

They were fun to be around, but she figured the reason that they must've chosen to be around her because they had noticed how distant her and Maki have been.

It wasn't as if they were taking sides, but they all collectively knew Maki preferred to be unbothered. And it also didn't seem as if her and Maki had any conflicts with each other, it was just... not how it used to be.

Despite being relatively satisfied with being around Inumaki and Panda, Y/N was still upset about the fact that she wasn't able to see Nobara as often.

She was even upset about not being able to see him.

Losing her main sources of joy and laughter, it can be quite depressing at times.

It's been a rough two weeks.

Indeed, it has been two weeks since he’d gotten a chance to be with her one on one again

Despite still being able to exchange small talks once in a while during dinner or in the hallway, he still felt empty. It's almost like not having her around took away a part of him, he felt incomplete.

Now that Gojo was out for a mission in Shinjuku, he wouldn’t have to worry about him getting too close with Y/N for the time being.

It wasn’t like himself to get so worked up over this, but he couldn't help it.

He wanted her to look at him, to be with him, and only him.

Perhaps, he could take her out again soon.

Oh, her birthday was approaching.

They were born in the same year, just 10 months apart. She was born early in the year, February to be exact.

February - just when the snow starts to melt.

Just like her. Her simple existence and presence capable of melting the snow encasing his heart.

She's turning 18, a legal consenting adult. But even so, he still felt like he needed to protect her.

Protect her from what? He doesn’t know either.

She’s a strong and independent woman.

She's more than capable of fighting and standing up for herself and those around her. She can do anything.

He truly admired those qualities of hers.

Still, he wanted to protect her. Protect her from all the trouble coming her way, protect her from all the worries and doubts.

He wanted to be her safe space, somewhere she could return to when times are rough.

Even then, he still wasn't entirely aware of his own feelings. He was never a romantic, nor did he ever say how he felt. But for her, for her, something about this girl made him feel so much more alive, and a lot less lost.

The thought of her... her smile could blind him with happiness.

If only he could bring that happiness to her. He wanted to do anything and everything he could. He's willing to.

 Another few days passed.

Nothing changed.  Work hard, train hard, day after day.

It was actually so exhausting and draining having to do the same thing everyday.

The second and third years were gathered in the common room area after dinner. Surprisingly, there wasn't any chaos, that's rare. Everyone was just so completly burnt out at that point.

He came out of nowhere. Emerging into the room, this startled the students.

Wearing his casual clothes, he looked like he was just out for dinner somewhere. Gojo Satoru was back from his few-days-long endeavor.

“Oh god it's Satoru again, he's back.”

Maki broke the silence.

“Maki, where’s your honorifics?” Gojo replied teasingly.

They all ignored him. Too tired to even get back at his remarks.

“Well, now that I’m here, might as well tell everyone. Hands up if you want to hear!”

Itadori Yuuji and Nobara’s hands shot up. Geez, where did this sudden burst of energy come from? Do they share one single brain cell or what?

The three of them jumping and dancing.

It brought out laughter in everyone. This wasn't unusual though, no one was phased nor surprised, but it's nice to loosen up the atmosphere.

“Idiots.” Fushiguro muttered.

Y/N was sat right next to him.

“Right?” She giggled in response.

They laughed at the two still dancing around their teacher.

Glancing over at Fushiguro, she finally saw his smile after so long. Artwork, she could admire him forever.

“Anyways,”

Gojo continued, interrupting Y/N's little moment.

“Cursed energy was rumored to have appear around a public Highschool in Shinjuku, I want you guys to go check it out. The second and third years will be going as a group, first years will be accompanied by me. This would be a great opportunity for you all to put your training to use."

Everyone looked at each other. This was their first practical mission in a while.

“Get going. We’re going tomorrow, 7 AM sharp.”

"You're acting like a teacher. Wow, that's a first." Maki burst out laughing.

"I'll make you stay behind." Gojo teased.

Maki threw a pillow at him (obviously failed)

Fushiguro saw this as an opportunity while everyone emerged in laughter, he edged himself closer to Y/N.

It didn’t matter if anyone was looking, he just wanted to be close to her, to be right next to her, skin to skin.

He missed the smell of her hair and the feeling of her hands brushing against his.

Time spent away from her seemed to pass slower than ever.  It's only been two weeks, yet it felt like two years.

Y/N turned around.

The raven haired boy was right next to her, he's closer than he was before.

Facing her directly, they made eye contact.

This time, instead of getting all flustered and turning away, she held his gaze. She didn't want to look away, it's been so long. She'd always wondered what crossed his mind when their eyes met. Because so much is crossing hers right now.

It's in the eyes, always the eyes.

They looked at each other too long to be just friends.

“Megumi!”

This made the both of them jump.

Gojo kneeled down behind the two of them, hands placed on Fushiguro’s shoulders.

They broke eye contact.

The flustered feelings finally crept up onto her. She could physically feel her cheeks getting hotter and hotter.

What was that?

She didn't want to be around Gojo and Fushiguro at the same time.

Y/N stood up and joined the other students.

"What is it?" Fushiguro snapped. Gosh, why did this man always have to ruin the moment for him?

"Woah, are you upset?"

"No."

"Alright then, I wanted to let you know this before everyone else, because you're special."

Fushiguro rolled his eyes.

"Aw come on, don't you want to know? I won't tell you then."

"No, please tell me."

Gojo grinned.

"I'll be assigning partners for the mission tomorrow, anyone in particular you'd prefer?"

He knew exactly what he's doing. But Fushiguro wasn't going to admit it, not to Gojo at least.

Of course he wanted her, he'd want her in every mission, every situation, every day.

But he wasn't going to say it.

"No."

"Really? No one?" Gojo ruffled Fushiguro's hair.

"Really, no one." He lied.

"Alright then." Gojo smiled.

After a while, Gojo spoke loudly, grasping everyone’s attention.

“Get to bed, now. Before I send you all flying.”

And so they did.

Despite having no real respect towards Gojo, they were still obedient

They're all aware of who he was, he was the Gojo Satoru.

Y/N also stood up.

But before she could leave, she was stopped by a hand grasping her wrist.

Turning around to see the white haired man.

“You stay here Y/N.”

Fushiguro heard it too, he stopped walking.

He didn't usually care about other people's business, but he couldn’t help it, it was hers.

He stood outside the door just in case anything happens. Just in case.

“Is there something wrong, sensei?”

“No, nothing in particular. I'm just… checking.”

"Checking... what?"

He pulled her by the waist, closing the gap between them.

“Back out whenever you want, I'll give you 10 seconds to resist me.”

What the hell?

“Ten.” He started counting.

The way they were positioned made it so hard for her to think, as supposed to even saying anything. Perhaps this was his specialty - the Gojo Effect - Y/N was at a cpmplete lost for word, her mouth couldn't utter single sound.

The problemwas....it's not because she couldn't find the right words or that she couldn't resist him.

It's because.

She didn’t want to resist him.

Chapter 8: Our Secret

Summary:

She knew if she stayed there any longer, her temptation would override her dignity.

This was exactly what he was afraid of, he knew something like this would happen, feeling his blood getting hotter and hotter, his anger and jealousy forming, he still tried to keep calm

Chapter Text

“Seven…”

Gojo’s hands traveled further up her back, making her shiver.

She was about to give in to her temptation.

Someone stop me, please.

Her body moving before mind did.

Her hand grasping onto his shirt's collar.

“I haven’t even finished counting yet, have you already decided?

This man knew damn well what he's doing to her.

The smell of his cologne was so attractive, everything about him was so attractive.

“What are we doing?”

She muttered breathlessly as his hands traveled lower down her backside, resting just inches above her ass.

“We can do whatever you want to do.”

She couldn’t resist him any longer.

Pulling onto his shirt, their lips collided.

Y/N felt him smiling into the kiss.

She gave in to his her temptations, she gave in to his touch.

She gave up every ounce of dignity left in her.

It's been over 10 minutes. Fushiguro was getting anxious.

More curious than anxious, but still... very anxious. Who knows what they could be doing in there? Who knows what Gojo could be doing to her in there?

He couldn't just slam open the door.

Fushiguro decided to walk in as if he was looking for something.

The door slid open.

The sudden noise starttled her. Y/N quickly pulled away and turned around.

She tried to push Gojo away but it didn't work. He wrapped his strong arms tightly around her waist.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

"What the hell are you doing?”

He didn't answer her but looked straight over at the boy standing there.

“Megumi? Why aren’t you in bed yet?”

Gojo asked in a seemingly innocent tone.

What was that? What did I just see?

Fushiguro trying his best to process what just happened.

“I think I forgot something here.”

Clearing his throat as he diverted his gaze elsewhere. He can't bear to see her like this for another second.

This was exactly what he was afraid of, he had a feeling something like this would happen.

A gnawing sensation tugged at the corners of his heart.

Jealousy, an unwelcome guest, had found its way into his mind.

He tried his best to keep his composure, but the expression on his face would have betrayed him already.

“Do you need help looking for it?” Gojo asked innocently.

Let go of her.

Fucking let go of her. Why are you so close to her? Why are you touching her like that?

An irrational fear that he was going to lose something precious.

In this moment, he knew.

He knew that she was precious to him.

Maybe that's why he felt so furious at this sight. If it were anyone else, he wouldn't have felt this way.

“No. It's okay. Good night.”

Fushiguro turned around and left.

He physically could not stay there any longer.

He could not bear looking at her in another man's embrace. It was like a knife to his heart.

“Fushiguro!” She called out.

Y/N really wanted to explain everything to him. She wanted to tell him that it was merely in the heat of the moment.

But that wouldn't make any sense. There's nothing she can say that will justify her actions.

What is wrong with me? Why am I so stupid? How could I let this happen?

He stopped, but did not turn around.

“It’s not like that. It's not—”

Y/N knew she was lying right through her teeth. It was like that, whether she'd want to admit it or not.

“Tell him the truth now~ It is like that.”

Gojo interrupted her feeble attempt at an explanation.

Fushiguro didn't say another word and left the room.

His heart felt like a fragile glass ornament on the brink of shattering.

Jealousy coursed through his veins like an electric current, consuming him from the inside.

Y/N tried to chase after Fushiguro but she couldn't.

Gojo pulled her back, their bodies colliding once again.

“What’s your problem? Let me go.” She turned around to face him.

“What? I gave you time to resist me.”

It’s not like any woman could resist this man.

“You could’ve at least let go of me when Fushiguro walked in."

“Sure, I could’ve done that. But that would’ve been lying about what we were doing, no?”

Why was he doing this? What is he doing to her?

“Why, what’s wrong? Do you fancy him?” Gojo raised his eyebrows.

Her heartbeat accelerated at the question. Why did he have to ask that all of a sudden?

“I don’t know…”

“You don’t know?”

He asked, placing his hands behind her neck.

"How could you not know, hm?~"

"Why are you asking me this?" She said shakily as he tangled his hands in her hair.

"Because if you fancied him." He whispered in her ears, his hot breath making her shudder. "You wouldn't have kissed me."

Getting a grip of herself, she shoved him away.

“We shouldn't do this. It’s not right.”

“What’s not?”

“This. Whatever it is that we're doing."

“Then… would you want to make it our secret?”

He looked at her with those ocean blue eyes in a way that made her stomach flip.

She felt like the words that were about to come out of her mouth were going to be those which she’ll regret.

Y/N didn't answer.

"It's past my bedtime, sir.”

Y/N rushed out of the room as quickly as possible. She couldn't stay there any longer. Afraid that the temptation would override her dignity

How could anyone recover from this? What about Fushiguro? Was he angry? Would he ever speak to her again after this?

It might take a bit longer for me to update the next chapter, sorryyy, hang in there!

Chapter 9: Mission

Chapter Text

It was morning, she had set her alarm to 6 30 AM the night before.

Getting up and getting ready to head out of their mission on that day. Two weeks of intense training had greatly prepared her for what was about to come their way.

Arriving at the front gate of the school where the other students are all gathered. y/n went over to stand next to Panda and Inumaki. As y/n looked over at Nobara, it seemed like she was deeply engaged in a conversation with Maki. Good for them, Fukuya thought as she smiled to herself.

“What’re you smiling about?”

She heard a familiar voice.

“It’s none of your concern.”

“Ehh? Where are your honorifics? I’m your teacher here.”

Turning around to face him, she said as quietly as possible, not wanting others to overhear them,

“What sort of teachers provoke their students like that?”

Due to their height difference, her mumble couldn’t be heard,

“Come again? Couldn’t quite hear ya.”

The man said as he lowered himself down, low enough for her to whisper in his ears. Seems like he was trying to provoke her after all. Not wanting anyone to notice their intimacy, y/n walked away from him over to the vending machine area, pretending like she was going to buy something.

As she headed over to the vending machines, she saw Fushiguro standing there, making her way over to approach him, she called out.

“Hey Fushi-”

To her surprise, he walked away without even turning around and looking at her. She felt an ache in her heart, not understanding why, but she definitely did not like how cold he was towards her.

After calling everyone over, Gojo assigned each one of them partners to work with for exorcising the curses. y/n got paired up with Itadori Yuuji. y/n wasn’t particularly close with him, but he’s very reliable and fun to work with.

They left for their destination in Shinjuku.

“Say, l/n-san.”

Itadori said as the pair of them walked down the hallways of the public highschool.

“What are you to Fushiguro?”

A bright red color etched on her face at these words,

“What are you talking about?”

“He’s only nice to you, man, Fushiguro’s always so cranky and moody around us, I wonder why he’s so polite with you, even more than the other senpais.”

“Is he?” she could practically hear her heartbeat from how loud it was beating.

“You know, before we left, he told me that if I let anything bad happen to you, he’d kill me himself. This guy…”

She stopped walking, this made Itadori turn around and look at her with a puzzled expression.

“He… said that?”

She could not contain her emotions, she was about to burst. Embarrassed and Flustered, hands went straight to her face.

“Yes he did. Is there something wrong?”

“No! Nothing… Uhhh, let’s continue and focus on our task, alright?”

Shaking the thought of Fushiguro off of her mind, she wanted to stay on task and not let her mind trail around.

Panting, sweating, the curse they were both working on exorcising together finally dissolved into thin air as she slammed her weapon down on it.

 “Are you okay Itadori-kun?”

“I’m fine, what about you? Be careful, look out, more might come.”

They stood back to back, on the watch for more curses emerging their way.

And so, there was. Two big unidentified creatures came bursting out of the walls, each one of them leaping towards Itadori and y/n.

“You take that one I’ll take on this one!” y/n yelled loudly so that Itadori could hear her over the roar of those unidentified beings.

Itadori broke through the wall and brought the curse with him to the other room, the two of them now separated with no assistance from one another.

Using her strength and weapon skills, y/n continuously slammed her cursed tool down on the creature, using her special cursed technique, which can make objects explode at will if she touches them.

“Man, you’re stronger than you look.”

She muttered. The curse kept on respawning and respawning multiple times after being exploded and hit with weapons.

Her arms were growing weak, she was scanning through the broken wall to see if Itadori was still there. He was still using his fist to punch through the curses; he looked unscattered. Good, she didn’t have to worry about him.

Turning back to her own fight, she was now dodging every hit she could from the curse, not striking her weapon anymore, she was almost at her limit.

“You little….”

y/n cursed under her breath as she felt a sharp pain on her left arm, the creature had sliced through her skin using its sharp tentacles.

Ignoring the pain, she jumped up as high as she could, landing on the curse. Using all the strength left in her, she made the curse explode.

The strength of y/n's explosion was so strong, it blasted both the curse and herself out of the window.

Crap. This was bad.

They were on the 5th floor, pretty high up. y/n was aware that she was going to hit the ground hard. Her vision blurred as she continued to fall.

Thumph.

y/n felt her body dropping onto something, it wasn’t the ground, it wasn’t hard. It seemed like someone caught her. She tried to open her eyes and identify the person, but she couldn’t, her vision was too blurred, the sky was too dark. The pain on her left arm intensified, she felt dizzy, like she was losing consciousness.

She felt her body being placed onto the ground as the person holding her left. y/n was completely drained of energy by now, could it have been the poison that was in the curse’s tentacles? She was sure she successfully exorcised that creature.

Where was Itadori? Is he doing okay? Is he safe? What about everyone else? What about Fushiguro?

“F...Fushigu..ro”

y/n mumbled out, not loud enough for anyone to hear, not even sure there was anyone around her.

She heard footsteps, not one, but many.

“y/n!!”

She heard a familiar voice called out, must’ve been Nobara. Good, she's so glad Nobara's safe

Her vision getting blurrier, she slowly lost consciousness.

Chapter 10: Worried

Notes:

Hi, this one's a bit longer since so many things happened gahhh

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Slowly opening her eyes, the smell of antiseptic filling up her lungs.

Y/N recognized the  saline solution hanging above her head, she must’ve been in the hospital.

The last thing she remembered before losing consciousness was hearing Nobara's voice calling out to her.

Her eyes scanned around the unfamiliar room, seeing Nobara and Maki soundly asleep napping on the couch directly across her bed, Y/N smiled to herself. They must've spent the night here looking after her, the girl was filled with gratitude for her friends.

As Y/N tried to push herself up to a sitting position, she felt a sharp ache in her entire left arm.

This caused her to slip down onto the bed, creating a loud sound that woke the two girls up.

“What happened?" Nobara panicked.

“Hey... look.”

Maki said as she tapped the ginger haired girl.

Both their attentions were now directed at Y/N, who was now slumped on the bed.

"Sorry... Did I scare you?" She gave them a weak smile.

“Y/N!” Nobara exclaimed.

She rushed over to the hospital bed and throwing her arms around Y/N. Sobbing as she she buried her head into the crook of Y/N's neck.

“Be careful, she could still be in pain.” Maki had also gotten up from the couch and headed over to accompany them.

"I’m alright now Maki, don't worry about me.”

Maki let out a sigh of relief and down on the bed.

“I was worried sick about you!” Nobara continued to sob.

Y/N stroked her hair comfortingly. She felt terrible for making her friend so worried.

“I’m alright now Nobara, see?” Y/N gave Nobara a big smile, reassuring her that she was completely fine by now.

“Well, I should make a call to Satoru, he’s the one who saved you after all.”

“Gojo? He was the one who saved me?”
“Yea, who else could’ve caught you from such a distance but him?”

Maki said as she walked out of the room as she dialed his number on the phone.

"I'll be back, you two wait here."

“Please thank him, I’m so glad he was there, you could’ve died!” Nobara mumbled, her sobbing got even louder.

“I 'll be sure. You’re such a crybaby.” Y/N said as she wiped the tears off her friend’s face.

Maki returned a minute or so later.

“Satoru said he’ll bring everyone here in a bit.”

“ Isn’t it too late? I don't want to be a burden to everyone else."

“No, they insisted. Everyone’s worried sick about you Y/N.”

She felt so embarrassed. This must've meant that she was the only one who got so badly injured and ended up being hospitalized.

“L/N-san! Are you alright?!”

Itadori Yuuji came rushing into her hospital room a while later, this startled her quite a bit.

“What happened to knocking?” Nobara said with an annoyed tone, she didn't like being startled by others.

“I’m alright now.” Y/N said, giving him a soft smile.

“What happened? I can’t bring myself to remember anything much.”

“After we separated, I went into the other room to finish off the curse. When all of a sudden I heard the windows crashing, I took a peak outside and saw you flying out! Senpai I was really scared and wanted to save you... But the curse was still latching onto me I couldn't get to you in time. But I'm glad you're fine and well now."

“Well you could've finished it off faster and saved her couldn't you?" Nobara butted in.

“Do you have any idea how scary it was seeing her lying on the ground, unconscious and covered in blood?!”

"If a semi grade 2 curse was latching onto you, would you have been able to jump out with her? Be realistic here Kugisaki."

"Well... I would! I would.. do anything to save Y/N."

The two of them continued to quarrel.

Y/N found this quite hilarious and adorable.

She adored the two of them very much.

Her and Itadori had also gotten a lot closer during, and hopefully even more after this mission.

"Your good looking teacher is here~"

All their attention darted towards the white haired man standing at the door.

“Sensei! Kugisaki kept saying I left L/N-san there on purpose! I couldn't have jumped out in time right? RIGHT?!”

“You could! You definetly could!"

"Well could you? I thought you claimed to be stronger than me?"

The two of them continued to argue.

“Be quiet. You're too loud.”

Y/N heard a familiar voice from the door. She leaned back to see who it was. The rest of the third years: Inumaki, Pada, Yuuta - and Fushiguro, walked in.

Their eyes met for just a split second, her heart was instantly warmed at the just sight of him. She knew that even in a moment of chaotic joy like right now, with everyone around, she still wanted it to be just him and her, alone.  She couldn't help but stare at him.

“Oh also, you know what l/n-san? Fushiguro and I almost had a fight yesterday. He said it was beca-”

Itadori was cut off when Fushiguro came from behind him and knocked him hard on the head.

“Shut up.” He mumbled.

“Ow! What’s up with this guy?” Itadori said as he rubbed the side of his head.

No finish what you're gonna say, she thought. What could they have possibly fought about? And why did he stop him? Gosh... she hates cliffhangers.

Y/N felt the left side of her bed dip. As she was looking over, her eyes met Gojo’s. His eyes were still gleaming ever so brightly even behind those circular tinted glasses.

“Y/N… you've got to be more careful. That curse, it injected poison inside you through blood contact. So your left might be immobilized for a while.”

“Well.. I didn't know that.”

“Ahh, guess that’s my fault for not informing you. But, I saved you, so it cancels out, doesn't it?”

Y/N let out a sigh. She did have to thank him for saving her. Afterall, she would've died if it wasn't for him.

“Thank you. For saving me, sensei...”

He scooted closer to her, hands slightly gliding over hers.

“What are you doing?” Y/N whispered only loud enough for him to hear.

“We’re not alone.”

“You’re welcome L/N-san.” Gojo whispered in her ears, the sound of her last name being addressed with honorifics by him sent shivers down her back. How annoying, it's actually infuriating how flustered he could make her feel even in a situation like this. She really wished no one would take too much of a notice on this, because if they did... their secret would be spilled.

Gojo then stood up from her bed, walking over to stand next to Fushiguro. He wasn't engaging in any conversations with the rest of them.

Y/N noticed how Fushiguro hasn’t even said hi to her yet. This upsets her quite a bit, what could she have done so wrong to make him ignore her even in a situation like this?

It was indeed getting really late.

Y/N told everyone to go back and get some rest for tomorrow. And so they did, everyone bid her one last goodbye as they left.

Nobara hugging her so tightly she almost felt like passing out.

They all left together.

She finally had her peacefull privacy back.

Y/N sighed heavily, turning over to look out at the moonlit night sky through her window.

The pain on her left side had decreased, but the ache in her heart was aching more than ever. Fushiguro didn’t even bother to say a word to her the whole time he was there. If he was going to break her heart, that was surely a good start.

“He didn’t even say goodbye to me.” she conversed her thoughts out loud.

Feeling a lump in her throat, her vision started to blur.

“That’s because I’m still here.”

She spun around so quickly, shocked and startled by the voice.

“Fushiguro? Is that you?”

It was.

He was was still there, he hadn't left.

The ache finally came to a halt, he finally spoke to her.

“Senpai.” He walked over to her bedside.

She could feel herself giving in, immediately tearing up. Lowering her head, Y/N started to cry.

The bed dipped as Fushiguro sat down next to her. Carefully wrapping his arms around the girl, comforting her as she held onto him and sobbed.

“You're an idiot.”

The words were muffled by her sobs.

He didn't say another word but simply let her cry in his arms. He knew comfort was all that she needed right now. He's not too good with words either, his actions are what speaks the loudest.

He felt horrible, he had just made her cry.

Only if she knew how much he cried that day.

The thought of her getting so seriously hurt made him break down sobbing.

Holding back tears the very moment he saw her lying unconscious on the ground. It's almost like he couldn't breathe.

Fushiguro broke down crying the moment he got back into his dorm room.

Afraid, worried, sick, nauseous, guilt, all these feelings bottled up inside his chest for the entirety of that day.

Afraid of what could have happened to Y/N, he was worried sick for her.

Nauseous due to the lack of food he had that day, his appetite was gone. Fushiguro didn't show up during dinner nor did he eat anything at all.

Guilt, especially guilt.

If that was the last time iin a long time he would be able to see her, then their latest interaction would be him walking away from her at the vending machine.

He regrets it deeply, if only he could explain to her what was clouding his thoughts instead of giving her the silent treatment, maybe things could've been different. But he couldn't express his emotions, nor could he contain it. It might seem like a petty thing to do just to walk away from her like that. But after seeing what happened between her and Gojo the other day, he couldn't stand it, he couldn't stand to face her.

But now, Fushiguro wanted to make it up to her.

Before arriving at the hospital, he had bought a fresh piece of custard bread from the bakery that they had previously ventured to.

Just simply being at that very bakery reminded him of her. His heart aching evermore.

Now, now that he saw her smiling even in this condition gave him some reassurance, as a sense of relief, a sense of hope.

He wanted to dart over to her bedside immediately and give her the tightest hug humanely possible. He wanted to apologize to her for everything, he just wanted to be by her side.

It seems like his teacher had beat him to it.

Fushiguro stood back as he watched another man express his worries towards the girl he so deeply cared for.

His fist clenched tightly. He was jealous, so insanely jealous, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now. All he could do was watch, watch as someone else sat by her side, where he was supposed to be.

As Gojo stood up from her bed, he walked over to Fushiguro.

“You better beat me to it next time kid.”

Fushiguro was furious. He couldn't seem to understand why his teacher was doing this. Gojo tends to do a lot of questionable things, things that almost everyone found annoying or irritating. But this was something he never expected him to do, it was out of the ordinary for him. Was Gojo just messing with him? Can't be.

He decided to stay after everyone had left. If he couldn't be the one to be next to her then, he'll be next to her now. He'll make it up to her. He'll be the one to cheer her up in his own way. To simply put it into words - he wanted to be alone with her.

Lifting up her chin so that they're face to face, Fushiguro wiped the tears that's streaming down her cheeks, caressing the sides of her face.

He lowered his head, placing it onto Y/N's shoulders. His hands traveling over to take in hers.

“I’m sorry, It’s my fault, I get jealous so easily.”

At these words, her sobs died down.

“Huh?”

Fushiguro angled his head so that his lips hovered over the crook of her neck. A faint pink painted her cheeks as she felt his hot breath on her skin.

“I told you. I get jealous easily.”

“Jealous? What are you jealous for?”

Y/N asked, subconsciously tilting her head to the other side, granting him more access to her skin.

“Just because.”

Fushiguro turned her head over to face him. Eye to eye, none of them breaking the stare.

Before she even realized it, before she could even process it - their lips were touching.

This caught her completely off guard, but she could not move, nor could she breathe.

His lips were so soft and tender, she melted into his touch. He tasted so sweet, smelled so good.

The kiss they shared. It wasn't her first but it was his. The kiss they shared, it took away all their worries, their sorrows and their doubts. The kiss they shared, it was like a shield protecting them from vulnerability, but at the same time, they were exposing their must vulnerable parts to each other.

It wasn't her fist kiss, but it was the first to ever ignite such emotions from her. The type of kiss that could overpower any form of drugs or painkillers.

How she wished this would last a lifetime. She never wanted him to leave her side, at least not for now.

Her uninjured hand traveled up to his chest, resting it there.

Fushiguro placed his hands over hers and pressed it down. She could feel his heartbeat, it was beating fast, so was hers. Their hearts were pumping at the same rate, the same tempo. They were intertwined.

The two of them breaking off their kiss but kept the eye contact.

She gasped for air, not realizing she was holding her breath the whole time. She didn't feel like looking at anything else but the boy in front of her right now.

The moonlight reflecting on his face, accentuating his already mesmerizing features. Y/N took a mental screenshot, a view she'd never want to forget.

“Megumi.”

The words spilled out from her lips, she could feel her cheeks getting red hot.

This was the first time she has called him by his given name.

“What did you call me?” He smiled brightly, perhaps even brighter than the night sky.

"Say it again, please."

“Megumi.”

He fell backwards onto her bed, hands covering his face.

“God...you’re driving me insane.”

Sitting up, he placed his head down on her shoulders again. It seems like this was his way for seeking for comfort.

Her right hand lifted up and rested on the back of his neck as he caressed him.

They sat like that for a while, none of them wanting to move, none of them wanting to say anything. Just simply appreciating the comfort of each other's presence.

“Have you eaten anything yet?” Fushiguro asked her.

“Yes I have, what about you? You look very tired.”

Looking up at her, he spoke softly, “Look at you senpai, you should be worried about yourself, not me.” Fushiguro was indeed tired and hungry, he didn't want to worry her.

"But I want to be worried about you." She responded. Even in the state that she's in, with her arm immobilized, with bandages everywhere, she wanted his health to be her priority.

His cheeks flushed red at her words. They stared at each other again, in silence.

“I bought you custard bread.” Fushiguro said after a minute or so if just staring at each other.

He handed her the bag that he brought along with him.

“Custard bread! And it's from the same bakery as last time!" She said with the biggest grin on her face. Fushiguro looked at her admiringly, he was so happy that's she's happy. Maybe her happiness was all that he needed to be full.

"Why don’t we share it?” Y/N insisted.

She pulled the piece of bread out, bringing it up to his mouth.

Fushiguro took a bite, leaving crumbs around his lips.

“What a messy eater.”

Y/N used her fingers to wipe the crumbs off his face, lightly grazing over his lips. Her eyes lingered on his lips a bit longer than anticipated.

“What are you looking at?” Fushiguro said, surely he had noticed her staring at his lips.

"Nothing…” Y/N averted her gaze as quickly as possible. It wasn't on purpose, she swears. She swears

Fushiguro leaned down, placing a soft kiss on her lips.

Face reddening, heart skipping a beat. She was sure he did that on purpose.

This boy was making her feel all sorts of things, things she had never felt for anyone else before.

“That’s twice. I’ve kissed you once more than him.”

“Oh... you mean...” It suddenly hits her that he knew what had happened. So their secret wasn't totally a secret at all, wasn't it? Maybe that was the reason he got jealous? Or was it perhaps for a different reason?

“Gojo-sensei. He kissed you, didn’t he?”

Y/N didn't respond, she didn’t want to bring up what had happened that night. She looked down at her hands, only now was she unable to look directly into his eyes.

“He only kissed you on the lips, let me kiss you everywhere else.”

Y/N didn’t even have the time to process nor react to what she just heard.

Fushiguro planted another kiss on her lips, trailing it to her cheeks, forehead, eyes, nose. He kissed her so tenderly and lightly.

Trailing the kiss down onto her neck and shoulders. His touch felt hot against her skin, making her shudder.

“There, that should do.”

He stood up from her bed, with a light shade of red etched across his face.

Normally, he wouldn’t have had the courage to do any of that.

But in that moment, he wanted her to know he was going to win her over no matter what.

He didn't want  anyone else to have her. Especially not Gojo Satoru.

“Please stay here with me, Megumi.”

He felt her tight grip on his shirt. She was in a vulnerable state, and in no way was he going to let her be alone for tonight.

Even though he knew his schedule was going to be packed from early morning tomorrow, he was still going to stay here.

“Of course I will, Y/N.”

Chapter 11: Care

Notes:

sorry this took so long T.T

Chapter Text

A few days passed, the hospital finally discharged her. It was quite late at night since the doctors wanted to run a final scheck up on the poisonous venom in her body. She's now in a stable condition.

Y/N was currently headed back to Jujutsu Tech, accompanied by Ichiji.

“Thank you for picking me up Ichiji-san. You really didn’t have to though, I know you’re busy, I could’ve gone back on my own just fine.”

“It’s not a problem, miss.  Gojo-san insisted that I accompany you.”

Oh.

Was he worried about her? If he’s so worried, why couldn’t he just pick her up himself? Prick.

Y/N sat silently in the car.

Exhaustion finally dawned on her. Eyelids fluttered as she drifted to sleep.

Slowly opening her eyes to meet another pair, starring right back at hers.

A pair of sparkly blue eyes through tinted glasses.

It couldn’t have been mistaken as anyone else's.

The man leaned in, his hands gently running down her left side.

“Pull up your sleeves.”

Startled by his sudden commands, Y/N simply stared at him.

“What for?… Sensei.”

Not giving her an answer, he got into the car and sat himself down next to her.

Gojo then carefully pulled the sleeves of her shirt up.

They were uncomfortably close, closer than how a teacher and a student should be.

She could feel her heart beating faster and faster as he lightly caressed her skin.

“Does it hurt here?”

Gojo asked as he pressed lightly onto her biceps area.

His hands ghosting over her breasts.

She doesn’t know if he’s doing this on purpose or not, but it’s annoying how much her body is reacting to his touch.

“Doesn’t hurt.” Y/N blurted out.

“Where are your honorifics?”

He looked up at her through the shades. Making eye contact.

“It doesn’t hurt...sir.” Y/N said as her free hand went up to cover her face. She really didn't want Gojo to see her expression.

The attempt was unsuccessful, he got a hold of Y/N's wrist and stopped her.

“Why, are you shy?”

As those words left his mouth, he leaned in even closer to her.

So close

So close that their lips were just mere inches apart.

his hot breath ghosting over her lips, stirring her up.

His scent was so attractive, it pulls her in even further.

Y/N knew she shouldn’t be feeling this way, especially not towards her teacher. Especially not someone like him .

Not breaking their gaze, his hands traveled to rest on her thighs.

Y/N’s uninjured arm subconsciously wrapped over his neck, she tried pulling him in, unable to resist the temptation.

To her surprise, he pulled back. Creating distancing between them.

Taking his hands off her thighs, Gojo and repositioned himself on the seat as he continued to examine her injured arm as if nothing just happened.

Feeling agitated and confused, she retracted from his touch.

“Why? What’s the matter?” Gojo said with a seemingly innocent tone.

This really annoyed her, he knew what he was doing.

“Sensei… why are you doing this?”

“Doing what?” he said with a smirk.

“This?”

The man leaned in and placed his hands on the side of her neck, pulling her into a kiss.

The kiss only lasted a few seconds, yet... she wanted more. She wanted so much more.

Tugging on his shirt, she pulled him back for seconds.

Why did he have to be so fucking attractive?

She couldn't seem to stop herself.

She knew it was wrong, yet she's still doing it. Maybe this was why so many girls swoon over this man.

He's just. so. hot.

“You’ve been kissing someone else, haven’t you?”

These words shocked her quite a bit. How did he know?

Now that he mentioned it, Fushiguro popped into her head.

Shit.

Other than being the most powerful, Gojo had this other power of temporarily making her mind go blank. Temporary making her lose her conscience, her dignity.

Dumbfounded, she did not know what to say. It's not like there's anything to say, she can't admit that to him, but she also can't deny the kiss her and Fushiguro shared.

“Seems like it.”

Gojo walked out of the car.

It seems like he's used to all this. Used to being in the moment with a woman and the next second, pretended like nothing just happened. What a prick.

 “Let’s go back, it’s late.”

He went over to the trunk, pulling out her suitcase.

They headed back into the building in silence.

It felt so awkward, maybe only for her, he looks like he's enjoying this.

She knew for a fact that Gojo had set this up only to tease her.

“Gojo-sensei.” Y/N stopped walking.

“Hmm?” He turned around and looked down at her.

“Why are you doing this? Why are you messing with me?"

“Hmm... I wonder why."

He said in that same exact teasing manner.

“But you like it, don’t you?”

This set her off. She was really agitated now.

She's agitated partially because he was avoiding her question, partially because what he said was... perhaps, the truth.

Y/N took her suitcase from him and walked in front of him. She could not stand being around him for another second.

“You sure you can carry that up the stairs?”

She ignored him and continued walking.

Despite not wanting to agree with him, she was having trouble carrying her suitcase up the stairs with one of her arms injured and temporarily immobilized.

“Here, let me.”

She heard a voice from upstairs.

“Fushiguro?”

It was him.

The thought of him waiting for her return made Y/N's cheeks glow red.

He came down, picked up her suitcase with ease.

They smiled softly at each other. She had been wanting to see him again since that night.

She liked being around him, it's like all her concerns disappear for a while. She can simply just be present, be in the moment.

“Well, Megumi’s here to help you. Guess I don’t need to be here anymore.”

Gojo suddenly appearing behind the pair.

“No you really don't have to anymore. I've got it from here. Goodnight.”

Fushiguro said as he took her wrist with his free hand and headed up the stairs.

She couldn't help but smile. Even though he doesn't talk much, she has learnt that his actions were his own way of expression his thoughts.

Opening the door, Y/N allowed Fushiguro in as he pushed her suitcase into the room.

This was the first time he's ever been in here. He couldn't help but taking in every little detail of her room.

Turning around to look at her.

“Are you feeling alright?” Fushiguro asked.

She nodded.

“You look tired.”

Fushiguro’s hands went up to caress the side of her face.

“Go in and lie down please.” He motioned her towards her bed.

“Not yet, I still need to unpack.”

“No, I got it. You go rest, senpai.” He opened her suitcase, taking out all the close and neatly folding them into her closet.

Y/N stood there watching him, how could she go straight to sleep and miss out on this sight?

After watching him for a while, she turned around to unfold her blankets, getting ready for bed.

“You know… Gojo's such a pain. He's always trying to mess with me. He-”

Words failed to come out of her as she felt his arms wrapped around her waist.

Fushiguro hugged her from behind.

“Don’t mention him when you’re with me.”

He whispered, gently placing a soft kiss on her shoulder.

She couldn’t utter a single word.

Trailing his kiss to her neck, she pulled him even closer to him.

The warmth of his body and his aroma calmed her down. Y/N melted into his touch.

“You smell so nice, senpai.”

“What happened to calling me by my first name?” She teased him.

This seemed to make him recall what had happen between the two of them that night at the hospital. A night where he had acted so boldly and so out of character.

Fushiguro’s face reddened as he loosened his grip around her waist.

Y/N turned around to look at him. They made direct eye contact, which he failed to keep.

“There’s no need to be shy. Not after that night. ”

Fushiguro’s embarrassment took over. He had to look away.

The power this girl had over him was immense, there was no one else like her.

Just a simple gaze was enough to make him flustered. This had only made him want her for himself even more.

“Can I kiss you?”

Fushiguro muttered under his breath, his head faced down - still afraid to look at her.

“I can't hear you. Care to repeat?”

He finally looked at her.

The way she was parting her lips accelerated his heart beat.

She is so beautiful. She is perfect, every mole, every freckle, every birthmark. They are placed like constellations in the sky. Her eyes, her lips, her nose. Everything about her actually.

Do you just know how beautiful you are?

If you could just see yourself in my eyes, you would never know insecurity again.

“Can I kiss you Y/N?.”

At these words, he pulled her in by the waist, the other hand traveled up to the side of her face.

Fushiguro kissed her softly, but passionately.

They were so immersed into the kiss none of them noticing how they’re both edging themselves closer and closer to her bed.

Y/N's legs hit the side of her bed, causing the two of them to fall over.

Noticing the awkward position that they were in, Fushiguro rolled over and covered his face in shame.

She let out a laugh.

“What are you laughing about? Are you hurt? You could’ve gotten hurt.”

She continued to laugh as she looked at his still-reddened face.

“Gosh... You're just so adoreable, I can't help it.”

“That’s enough senpai. You need to rest now,” Fushiguro stood up from her bed, walking over to her suitcase and continued to unpacking her stuff as another way to avoid making direct eye contact with her. She made him so nervous.

Despite so, he wanted to be able to fully express his feelings towards her.

“You’re staying here aren’t you?” Y/N asked as she continued to watch him.

“Sure, I’ll stay until you fall asleep. I'll stay for as long as you want me to.”

Chapter 12: Sunrise

Chapter Text

"Megumi? Is that you?"

He had just walked out of her room in the middle of the night. Maki, who also was coincidentally awake at that moment.

His face turned bright red.

This must've looked so suspicious to her. Him leaving a girl's room at this hour?

“No it's not like that." Fushiguro blurted out even before she could question him any further. He didn't want to think of what sort of conclusion Maki could've jumped to.

"I didn't say anything." She raised an eyebrow.

"I know. I was just taking care of Y/N."

"Are you two on first name basis now?" Maki asked.

He didn't answer.

Fushiguro felt that it was unnecessary for Maki to know about their relationship.

Considering what happened at that party, he's somewhat afraid that it might turn into a competition for them.

Fushiguro has already had enough with one person trying to take her away, no need for another.

“Well, take good care of her, alright?”

Maki said as she turned around, returning to her room without another glance at him.

What?

Of course he was going to take good care of her and keep her safe.

If there was anything he could do that made her happy, he’s willing to do it over and over again.

If she wanted him to be by her side and to comfort her, he would. And he'd do it with no hesitation, he'd do it in a heartbeat.

There wasn't anything predictable about her, even how she suddenly became such a big part of his life. And it was that exact chaos that made her interesting.

He had kissed her and forgot to breathe, it didn't matter at that time.

And that exact kiss was what told him everything there was to be told. He was ready.

He was ready to give it everything, he was ready to give her everything.

Gosh, since when did he start thinking of such sappy things?

Surely, Gojo wouldn’t be able to do those things.

He could do anything and everything, but perhaps not those.

He couldn't stay by her side and take care of her when she's sick. He couldn't listen to her talk about whatever that's on her mind.

Fushiguro knew he didn't have much in his possession, nor was he any match in power to Gojo, but he knew for a fact that he would be able to give her everything even when he has nothing.

Fushiguro came back inside her room.

He sat down next to her.

She was still asleep.

Gently stroked her hair and caressed her face. He took in every inch of beauty that resides on her face.

She is so pretty, the prettiest girl in his word.

But it was never just about the way she looked. It was the way that she is. The way she made him feel.

She had given him so much more than she could have ever known. She gave him what no one else ever did.

She found the colors to paint him where the world left him gray.

She brough colors into his dark and dull world.

Fushiguro leaned down to place a soft kiss on Y/N's forehead.

“I like you.” He whispered, perhaps only loud enough for himself to hear.

Maybe he would find the courage to say it out loud to her one day.

But there's just so much to say, so much that he’s afraid it might overwhelm her. He liked her so much more than he'd ever imagine liking anyone.

“Megumi…” the girl mumbled in her sleep.

Startled by her sudden movements, Fushiguro sat up straight at once.

His face starting to get red, afraid that she might’ve been awake and heard his confession.

“I’m here.”

Fushiguro edged himself closer to her, checking to see if she was awkake.

It wasn’t. She was sleeping soundly.

Y/N's hand reached and grabbed hold of Fushiguro’s shirt.

He placed his hand over hers, holding it.

Her grip loosened at his touch.

“Guess she just needed reassurance that I’m still here.” He smiled to himself.

And he’d reassure her as many times as she needs, as many times as she wants.

He’d hold her, make her feel safe and at peace.

Gosh, how he wished he could put these feelings into words.

If he were to take a blank piece of paper and write his feelings out, he would've been a poet.

Fushiguro could only hoped that she’s aware of the impact she had on him.

The impact she had ever since that night she drunkenly clung onto him. She fell so naturally in his arms, like a flower to the sun.

Slowly but surely, Fushiguro drifted to sleep, hands still holding hers.

They were both asleep for another hour or two.

Y/N's body suddenly jolted, she sat up so quickly that it had also woken Fushiguro up.

Sweating and panting, hands covering her mouth to prevent herself from screaming.

“Senpai? Are you alright?” Fushiguro asked.

He sounded so concerned, not slightly bothered by how his heart almost jumped out of his chest from her sudden movement which awoken him at ... probably 3 or 4 in the morning he'd assume.

“N...Nightmare…”

Y/N couldn’t properly say the words, she was still in shock and fear from the vivid nightmare that had just occurred.

Fushiguro tightly wrapped his arms around Y/N.

She held on to him.

“I'm scared… Please don’t go.” she muffled into his chest.

“I'm not leaving you, I’m not letting go until you’ve calmed down.”

"I'm scared." Tears rolling down her cheeks.

Perhaps it's because she never had anyone there for her during times like this. She had been alone for most nights during her childhood, reccuring nightmares were something she'd have to deal with on her own.

The reassuring words.,the softness of his voice, the tenderness of his touch calmed her down.

Y/N was no longer in a state of panic.

Now, she felt drained and tired from all the movements and sweating.

Fushiguro felt her grasp loosened. He pulled away to take a proper look at her.

“I’m so sorry for disrupting your sleep.” She said through teary eyes.

He wiped the tears running down her cheeks. He didn't need to know the specific reason, nor did there have to even be a reason. He didn't care about any of that, not even sleep, he would be there to calm her down no matter what, no matter when.

Y/N placed her head onto his chest once again, feeling so at peace under his embrace.

She tried dozing off to sleep but couldn't. Fushiguro didn’t seem like he could either. They were both wide awake.

the sky was getting brighter and brighter. There was no use going back to sleep now,

“Let’s go watch the sunrise.” He spoke suddenly.

“Right now?”

Fushiguro stood up from Y/N's bed and went over to her closet, taking out a sweater and wrapped it around her.

“Yes, right now. You and me.”

They tiptoed out of her room, afraid of waking someone up.

The two snuck out to the outer buildings near the mountains.

“There should be a ladder around here… if I remember correctly.” Fushiguro mumbled to himself.

“Ladder? Why would we need a ladder?”

“I'll take you up to the rooftop.” He turned around and gave her a soft smile.

Fushiguro carefully assisted the girl up the ladder.

This was the first time she had ever watched the sunrise on a rooftop like this.

“Do you come here often?" She asked. Y/N knew Fushirguro didn't like talking about himself, but she couldn't help it. A view like this, at a time like this, with a boy like him, how could she not get curious?

“I do, it's my secret spot. I used to come here to hide from Gojo-sensei." He replied.

The thought of little Fushiguro hiding away from Gojo made Y/N laugh.

"You know, he took great care of me, that man."

"Gojo-sensei?"

"He took me in after my father left. I wasn't too upset, it's not like he was too involved in my life. But sensei took care of me ever since, and as much as I'd hate to admit it, I love him very much. I love him like he's my own father."

She wasn't actualy expecting for him to open up like that. But wow.

"Sorry, I'm talking too much aren't I?" Fushiguro looked down. He's never told anyone that before, not even Gojo.

"No, please keep talking about yourself. I'd be happy to hear."

"Alright then, if you say so." He smiled brightly.

Fushiguro continued on to talk about his past, something he had never opened up to anyone else about.

At times, he was afraid that she might judge him, but the look in her eyes told him otherwise. She was so deeply immersed it's almost like she's drowning herself in his words.

They talked and talked, talked until the sun was peeking from the horizon.

After a while, they sat in silence to just simply watched the sun as it grew brighter and brighter.

Rays of sunlight reflected on her face.

She looks just like a dream, the prettiest girl he's ever seen.

“It’s so pretty isn’t it?” Y/N said, captivated by the breathtaking scenery.

“So pretty.” The boy replied. But he wasn't looking at the sun. He was looking at her, the sun of his world.

She turned around. To her suprise, he wasn't looking at the sunrise, but instead, at her.

Fushiguro leaned in closer, their hands grazing one another's.

You are so pretty.”

Her cheeks glowed bright red, her eyes glistening.

All he did was call her pretty, she's been called pretty by many before.

But coming from him, it was different.

That was his magic, that was his spell.

That's it. There it was. He was scored on her heart.

Perhaps he saw it too. He could tell that something had changed about the way she looked at him then.

The eyes chico, they never lie.

Chapter Text

Ever since that night on the rooftop, he was all she could think of.

Every waking hour as well as when she's asleep.

He plagued her thoughts.

She wasn't so sure before, but now she knows.

Y/N was aware of her feelings towards Fushiguro.

She fell for him, hard.

He was so mysterious and reserved, but he decided to open up to her, something she's so sure no one else could get from him.

She wanted him all to herself. She wanted all of him to herself.

Y/N knew it was a selfish thing to want, but she couldn't help it.

Every single second spent by his side is filled with surprise and pure happiness. Every word shared is tender and sincere.

Even behind that stone cold impression he might give off to others, there lies a softness only she knew too well.

Where have you been all my life?

He's always been there - hiding in plain sight.

Then appeared, from out of the blue. It's like there's always been this invisible string bringing them to each other.

Y/N knew there was no way she only saw him as a friend.

She wouldn't look at her empty bedside and wishes Fushiguro was lying there if they were "just friends".

She wouldn't close her eyes and imagine herself in his embrace, kissing his soft lips if they were "just friends".

She wouldn't hate the idea of anyone else having him if they were "just friends".

There's just no way.

In fact, Y/N has gotten really anxious around him lately.

Most of the time, she would avoid making eye contact with him. She just can't. It was impossible for her to keep her composure when he's looking at her like that.

Those eyes of his could swallow entire galaxies. So what hope did she have?

Every time his hand grazes over hers during training, her face would instantly turn bright red. His simple touch felt hot against her skin.

Y/N stopped talking to him as often.

She was afraid of what she might say or do. What if she says the wrong thing? Gosh, he made her so, so nervous.

Surely this must’ve been misleading in a way. It looks like she was avoiding him on purpose, which was the last thing she wanted him to think.

But it was.

Her silence burns.

Why was she acting so distant lately?

Has he done something to make her uncomfortable?

Has he done anything wrong? Anything that made her feel the need to distance herself?

He thought about it for days on end.

He tried not to think of her. Staying up most nights, thinking of her, as he's trying not to think of her.

Fushiguro wanted to have someone to talk to about this so badly. Normally he would have gone to Gojo, but it seems like they both had desires towards the same woman, so that's off the charts.

He was spaced out for most of the time, so much that it's even noticeable to others.

“Why the long face?”

Yuuta Okkotsu asked as he walked into the common room area.

Fushiguro sat there, completely lost in thoughts.

“It’s nothing.” He replied swiftly.

“You sure? You're kinda out of it these days.”

Fushiguro shook his head in hopes of getting Yuuta to leave him and his thoughts alone.

“Is it about her?” Yuuta said, out of the blue.

This came as quite a shock to him.

How did Yuuta know? The two of them are friends, but he never recalled talking about his feelings for her with anyone else.

"Who are you reffering to?” Fushiguro asked, genuinely confused.

It was about her. But how on earth could Yuuta have guessed who the her in question was?

“Isn’t it obvious? L/N, isn't it?”

“Obvious..?"

Yuuta let out a little laugh which  only confused Fushiguro even more.

What was obvious?

“I see the way you two look at each other, there's definitely something there, no?”

Fushiguro starred at him in confusion, how did he figure it out? Were they actually so oblivious?

“You know, I don’t blame you, Fushiguro. She sure has her charms.” Yuuta continued.

Fushiguro suddenly stood up.

"Don't go for her."

He said it a bit louder than anticipated. “

"If you were planning to go for her, don't."

A sense of irritation wavering over him at the thought of yet another man chasing after her.

He hated it.

“What?”

"I won't let you have her."

Yuuta started laughing.

“I was just messing with you. I have no room left in my heart for any other girl." He looked down at the silver ring on his finger.

"But hey, I got it out of you. You like her don't you?"

Fushiguro sat back down, a little embarrassed by his own actions.

But he felt somewhat…relieved.

“I do. I like her so much it's actually driving me fucking crazy.”

That was the first time he had admitted his feelings for the girl out loud, in front of someone else, someone who’s awake and aware.

Remembering  that one time he told her his feelings when she was soundly asleep.

“So what’s stopping you?”

The question stuck in his mind.

What was stopping him?

Perhaps it was his fear of rejection, fear of failure.

Perhaps he was scared of how much things would change between them.

Perhaps he's afraid that things might change so drastically that he would lose her for good. To lose her would be worse than to admire her from a distance.

Or perhaps he’s okay with the way things are right now - the way things were before that night.

He wanted to be by her side, to hold her, kiss her.

He wanted every part of her, all to himself.

But this deafening silence was hurting l than any amount of word could.

Just why won’t she talk to him?

Y/N usually spend her free Suday afternoons down by the lake.

This weather was her favorite. Walking along the lake as she inhaled the cold and crisp air.

This was her way of “clearing the mind”.

But even then, she couldn't seem to rid her thoughts of him.

He was her first morning thought, last evening sigh, and everything else in between.

She continued down this familiar path, taking in the scenery.

A million thoughts rushing through her mind, all of them about him. Y/N can't seem to find a way to put an end to this. The harder she tries to distance herself, the more difficult it is to ever forget him.

The mere though of him was like some kind of invincible force pulling her back each and every damn time.

“Senpai!”

She heard a familiar voice, calling out from behind.

Y/N knew exactly who that voice belonged to.

How could she not? The voice that has been imprinted onto her mind, a voice she could never mistaken for any other.

For some reason, Y/N wanted to run away, but her legs wouldn't inch.

He was running towards her, breathing heavily.

As Fushiguro got closer and closer, her heart beats faster and faster.

The sun was setting, orange rays of lights reflecting onto their faces.

“Senpai.” He stopped at a halt, standing in front of her.

Y/N's cheeks glowed red, whether it was from the breezy weather  or a different reason, she was unsure.

She parted her lips to speak, but  not a single word came out.

He was looking straight at her, this time, eye contact made her nervous.

“Kugisaki said you'd be out here, so here I am.” His breathe was still shaky. The cold air filled up his lungs, he couldn't breathe.

It wasn't only because of that.

It was also because of her.

She seemed to have taken his breathe away. He can't breathe when she's not near, he can't breathe when she is.

Her presence is almost lethal.

Fushiguro  was so close to her. So close that she could not keep the eye contact.

Y/N averted her gaze, afraid of what else might happen if she kept looking into those eyes.

Another second and she could've drowned. Drowned in those eyes of his.

Fushiguro was so close to her, she could feel the warm air on top of her head as he spoke.

He towered over her.

This made her realize how tall he was getting.

"Y/N." Fushiguro spoke up again after not getting a response from her.

Butterflies fluttered in her stomach at the mention of her name.

Her name. It sounds so special somehow, but only if he's the one saying it.

Right then, right there, she wanted to pull him in. She wanted to melt into his touch, and emerge into his sweet scent.

But for whatever reason… Y/N ran away, her legs decided to betray her and acted at the wrong moment.

Why are you going the other direction?

Your destination is the other way, come back. Come back to him.

But before she could run any further, Y/N felt a grip on her wrist.

Fushiguro chased after her.

He can't let her slip away just like that.

He can't lose her again.

If holding her back means that they'll have a fight, then so be it.

He's willing to do anything, he's willing to fight with her, to fight for her.

“Don't run away from me Y/N."

He pulled her back.

"Why are you avoiding me? If there's anything I did that made you upset, I’ll apologize, I'll make it up to you, I’ll do whatever it takes."

He couldn't bare her silence.

"Please don't do this to me Y/N."

Hearing him say that pained her more that she could have imagined.

Tears were forming in her eyes, she could not bring herself to turn around and look at him.

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware that I made you uncomfortable.” Fushiguro let go of her hand.

Was this his way of saying that he's letting her go?

The lump in her throat grew larger by the second.

"Don't say that” Y/N finally spoke.

Her voice broke as the tears that she tried so hard to contain streamed down her reddened cheeks.

She could not bear hearing him say those words. What was he apologizing for?

The time spent with him was the happiest she’d ever been, there was not a single instance where he had made her uncomfortable in any way.

He was her comfort place, her safe place.

What is there to apologize for?

"That's not it." she mumbled as tears rolled down her face.

“I'm sorry. Don't cry senpai, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I made you cry."

The way he continuously apologized made her heart break.

She felt like the worst person in the world for making him feel this way.

Y/N knew she must've hurted him so badly. She felt a tremendous amount of guilt.

And if there was anything she could do to take his pain away, she would.

“Don't apologize. I should be the one apologizing for making you feel that way.”

Words drowned by her sobs.

Fushiguro went to stand in front of her so that they’re facing each other.

She looked so fragile. It pained him to see her in this state.

“No, I don't you seeing me like this." Y/N back off as she covered her tear stained face.

“Don't hide your face, I want to see you.”

He said in such a sweet, comforting tone.

What did she do to deserve such a person in her life? How idiotic could she be to risk losing him over her own uncertainty?

Fushiguro wiped the tears off her face as he removed her hands.

His gentle touch reassured her.

Everything was wrong  but it's alright, as long as you are by my side.

Y/N pulled him into a hug, she wanted comfort, reassurance, she wanted him.

No, she needed him.

"I know the way I act has been troubling you, and I'm so sorry."

She muffled into his chest as he lightly stroked her back.

Burying her face into the crook of his neck, she could smell his sweet scent, the sweet aroma that she was longing for.

"It's okay."

"It's not okay, I made you sad." Y/N said through calmed sobs.

He smiled.

"How can I be sad when I have you in my arms?"

"I wanted to be next to you all the time, but I just can't seem to do it. I know it's probably stupid."

He placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"You're here with me now, so none of that matters, right?"

They stayed that way for a while, just simply appreciating each other's company.

He missed this so much. He missed her so, so much.

The sun was completely below the horizon by now.

“Look, the moon.”

Notes:

*In Japanese, the word “moon” and “like” is pronounced very similarly, the word “moon” being spelled as つき (tsukki), and the word “like” being spelled as すき (suki), which is a simple way of confession, by just saying the word “like”. So this part, he’s directing at the moon which was visible by that time. This part is very important, since y/n might’ve misheard what he had said. *

Chapter Text

Y/N raised her head to meet his gaze, her heart quickening as she found herself lost in the depths of his warm, inviting eyes. In that stolen moment beneath the  evening sky, his smile became a secret shared only between them, a smile that held the power to melt even the thickest sheets of ice.

In that hushed, intimate moment, Y/N couldn't help but wonder how she had become so fortunate to have him by her side, to witness the radiance of his smile meant for her alone. It was a smile that said more than any words ever did.

"Was I too careless as to make you feel as though I didn't care about you?" she asked, her voice quivering with vulnerability.

Fushiguro turned to look at her, his eyes searching her face for the meaning behind her words.

His heart ached at the sight of her calmed sobs, her eyes glistened in the moonlit night sky.

"No, never," he replied softly, reaching out to gently wipe away a tear from her cheek.

"I know you for who you are. And who you are is someone who cares."

"I tend to push people away when I need them the most. I'm afraid I might have scared you away for good."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat, and she dared to meet his gaze.

She took a deep breath, her heart racing as she inched closer, her lips almost brushing against his ear.

He leaned in, his forehead gently resting against hers, their breaths mingling in the quiet night air.

"Y/N, I'm not going anywhere," he whispered, his words carrying the weight of his commitment.

He took her hands and raised it to his lips and kissed it gently.

"Your worries and doubts won't drive me away... because I care about you more than words can express."

Their faces were inches apart now, and he could feel the intensity of her emotions radiating from her.

Y/N's heart fluttered in her chest as she gazed at Fushiguro. Stunned, flushed, and utterly flattered by his words, she found herself momentarily lost for a reply. His warm-hearted smile had a way of rendering her speechless, a sight she cherished more than anything.

The pair of them settled on the pavement, overlooking the serene lake. The moon's gentle reflection danced upon the water's surface, casting a soft, ethereal glow that seemed to illuminate the world around them.

Through stolen glances, she couldn't help but be captivated by the little details that made him unique. His long, dark eyelashes framed his eyes like delicate curtains, how they fluttered so gracefully every time he blinked.

Those eyes of his, a deep shade of blue that drew her in like a magnetic force.

Their eyes locked, and in the absence of the sun's warm glow, she noticed that his eyes had deepened into an even darker shade, like a mysterious ocean under the night sky.

The scenery around them was quiet, peaceful, no cars or vehicles around to disturb.

Only sounds of the whirling wind alongside the sound of water flowing in the lake. The others were probably having dinner by now; it should be noticeable that the two of them were the only ones who were not present. Her stomach churning from hunger, but somehow, it did not bother her, not even the slightest bit.

Amidst the tranquil ambiance of the moonlit night, Y/N took a deep breath.

"I care about you too, I care about you so, so much. I want to be there for you, and with you for everything. You are so, so important to me and I hope you know it."

Fushiguro's eyes glistened with emotion as those words left her mouth.

"What I'm saying is.."

She paused, feeling weight of unspoken emotions between them, and she hoped he could sense the unspoken truth beneath her words.

"I like you Megumi."

There it goes, she finally said it.

With courage and determination, she spoke the words that had been dwelling within her.

The sensation of hunger that had previously gnawed at her stomach had now turned into a swarm of butterfly.

Though she felt a touch of apprehension, an eagerness bubbled within her to meet his gaze, to see the emotions painted across his face.

There was a moment of silence. Agonizing silence even.

Raising her head to look up at the sky, the moon bathed the night in its radiant glow, a breathtaking sight to behold.

As Y/N slowly shifted her attention to Fushiguro, she found that he was already fixed on her, their eyes locking in a profound connection.

Her lips parted, longing to break the excruciating silence that seemed to stretch endlessly.

Each passing moment only made her more nervous.

Nevertheless, she held no regrets for her previous words.

When he had whispered to her how pretty she was on the rooftop as they watched the sunrise, she had known it.

Maybe it had happened even earlier. Maybe it had been every time he gazed into her eyes, every touch they exchanged, every embrace, every stolen glance.

From that moment on, she knew that he held the key to her heart. Her confession wasn't made with doubt or remorse; she wanted him to understand, to know it and feel it in his heart.

She wanted him to know.

Fushiguro pulled her into a warm and tight embrace.

He was dumbfounded.

His arms tightly wrapped around her body, a reminder of the unspoken connection that had been growing between them.

His touch sent shivers down her spine, and in his presence, time seemed to stand still. As the world around them faded into the background, it was as though they were the only two souls in existence, dancing to the silent melody of their hearts.

He felt her grip on his shirt as he buried his face in her sweet smelling hair.

With the world hushed around them, he whispered, his words carrying the weight of a confession held close to his heart.

"I like you, Y/N," he breathed, his voice filled with a warmth that radiated from deep within him.

These words had been hidden behind the walls that were built around his heart for the longest of time, but now, they found their way to her ears.

"I always have."

As Y/N gently pushed herself away from the embrace, her eyes searching for his face. He knew she wanted to read his expression, but there was so much more he wanted to say, and he knew his words would fail him if he were to see those eyes starring into his.

"No," he whispered, his voice tinged with touch of vulnerability.

"I want us to stay like this for now," he continued, his arms still wrapped around her.

"I have more to say, Y/N. Please, just hear me out."

He felt her hum in agreement,

Placing a soft kiss on the side of her head, Fushiguro continued speaking.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you, it's as if I've been running from my true feelings, fearing that they might make you uncomfortable." His words held a hint of vulnerability, but he pressed on.

"I'm the happiest I've ever been right now, knowing that you care for me, and that you feel the same way. I like you, Y/N. Of course, I like you. I like you so much that it feels like you've taken over my life. It's maddening how much of you occupies my thoughts."

He paused for a moment just to breathe.

"I'm willing to have sleepless nights with you, just to hear your voice, to know that you and I are aware of each other, it's more than enough for me," he whispered, his voice filled with a tenderness that made her heart flutter.

"I like you much, much more than you think I do, I like everything about you, Y/N. You're a beautiful, strong-minded, strong-willed, and kind-hearted girl. You brought color into my life, you painted my dark and dull world. I like you just as you are, I like you more than words can express, and it terrifies me sometimes because it's so intense, but it's a beautiful kind of fear, one I'm willing to embrace.""

Their hearts laid bare before each other, a beautiful confession of feelings that had been waiting to be expressed.

Her eyes started to tear up again. What could she have done to deserve such a person?

"Megumi."

She looked him in the eyes, his eyes glistening ever so brightly.

"You're the one who's made me realize what it means to truly care for someone. I want to hold your hand, to kiss you, and to cherish every moment we spend together. I care about you more than I've ever cared for anyone, and I can't imagine my life without you in it."

He cups her face into his hands.

With the moon as their witness and the stars as their audience, their lips finally met in a tender, passionate kiss.

It was a kiss that spoke volumes, a culmination of their feelings, a seal on the unspoken love that had bound their hearts together.

In the sweet embrace of their kiss, it felt as though all the pain and sorrow they had endured had been washed away, replaced by happiness. This amount of happiness was unlike anything she had ever known, a pure bliss that seemed to transcend time and space.

This amount of happiness was unlike anything she had ever known, a pure bliss that seemed to transcend time and space.

It was a happiness she wouldn't trade for anything else in the world, feelings that bloomed from the seeds of merely being each other's upper and underclassmen, and had now blossomed into something else, something beyond that realm of friendship.

Y/N felt her heart soar, the weight of past sorrows finally lifted, as she shared this intimate moment with the boy who had become her shining moon and stars.

Chapter Text

There was this upcoming mission that the second years were to attend.  This mission involved breaking cursed seals and performing exorcisms at a high school situated in Saitama prefecture, which, coincidentally, happened to be the same region as the school where Fushiguro had studied prior to enrolling in Jujutsu Tech.

He was partly excited since it’s another practical event where he would get to actually utilize his skills, but also partly nervous due to his past at that place. Fushiguro knew there was a very high chance of him bumping into people he knew back in junior high, knowingly that he had a huge reputation for beating up a gang of delinquents at the age of 14. Even though he had completely cut off all the people he knew from junior high after attending  Jujutsu Tech, still, the thought of encountering people from junior high worried him quite a bit.

He was partialy excited, a blend of anticipation and anxiety as the upcoming mission promised a opportunity to showcase and practice his skills.

But on the other hand , there was an undercurrent of nervousness tied to his history at that location.

Fushiguro was well aware of the high likelihood of running into people from his junior high days, well aware that he had gained a significant reputation at the age of 14 for fighting a gang of delinquents amongst many other physical fights.

Despite his disconnection from his days at Saitama prefecture, the idea of reencountering figures from his past weighed heavily on his mind.

As the second years reached their destination, Nobara and Itadori continued their ceaseless chatter, a familiar and expected behavior.

Although Fushiguro didn't want to admit it, he really did enjoy their companionship and the constant bickering that revolved around the most trivial of matters. It was hard to imagine days without the two of them.

“Gojo-san informed me that there are some grade 4 curses by the hallways, should be an easy job for you, no?” Ijichi told the three of them.

And it was, these kinds of missions were merely practices for the three of them as they accumulated even more skills overtime.

The three of them successfully exorcised all the curses surrounding the school, making the aura much lighter and less gloomy.

By the time that they were done, high school students students started to pour into the campus.

He was so ready to leave this place before anyone recognized him.

“Fushiguro-san?”

A female voice called out from behind him, and Fushiguro's heart sank; this was precisely what he had feared – being recognized.

He spun around to locate the voice and was met by the sight of a girl with flowing, golden locks.

She stood amongst about five or six other girls.

“Oh! It really is you!” The girl exclaimed in excitement.

He vaguely remembers seeing this girl around school back in Junior High; she was a year below and very popular.

"Nakamura... is it?" He spoke hesitantly.

"Nakamura Sayumi... do you remember me?" She replied. Her voice held a cheerful, eager tone, and there was a noticeable bounce in her step.

“Yeah.” He nodded

“Where have you been? I haven’t heard anything of you since you graduated!”

“Oh, I’ve been quite busy lately.” He lied, “Didn’t really have the time to catch up with anyone.”

Truth is, he wasn’t busy, just did not feel like interacting with people from his old school.

''I tried to reach you but I couldn't. And I've been meaning to tell you something ever since you left... but you were so distant I couldn't bring myself to do it."

She then turned to her group of friends and asked for a moment of privacy with him, her eyes beseeching and hopeful.

"Follow me." She pulled on the sleeves of his shirt towards a more quiet place.

Fushiguro couldn't fathom what she might say to him.

After all, he could hardly recall anything about her, except for her popularity with both boys and girls.

Nonetheless, despite being hesitant, he still decided to go along with her, as declining outright would have felt impolite.

They walked behind the school, Sayumi fiddling with strands of her long blonde hair.

"Fushiguro-san..." she began, her words carrying a hint of unease.

"Is there a specific reason we're here? What's going on?" he asked, his curiosity piqued by the unusual location.

"It's not that... I just needed to share something with you, and I'd rather say it now then not say it at all... I don't know when I'll get the chance to see you like this again," she admitted, her cheeks turning a faint shade of red, her gaze shifting away briefly.

"Alright, go ahead, but please make it brief; I've got to head back soon," he responded, signaling his limited availability with a slight sense of urgency.

She closed her eyes, and a hint of vulnerability graced her expression as she gathered her courage.

"I like you Fushiguro-san. And I have liked you for a while... ever since you were still here."

She kept her eyes closed, "I wanted to tell you before you left but I wasn't brave enough to do so... but now that you're here..."

Fushiguro looked down at his feet, not knowing what to say nor how to react.

“Well? What do you say?” She asked.

“Nakamura… I… Um.” He was stuttering, not really sure how to put it into words.

"I know this is all really sudden, but seeing you here was also a sudden surprise for me... and I wanted to tell you this now so that I can know what to do with my feelings. And perhaps... if you happen to feel the same way."

It was almost like he couldn't breathe. His entire junior high was spent fighting and doing stupid stuff, but how could he have caught the attention of someone like her?

He was more confused than anything, but one thing that he knew for sure, was that he is no longer the person he was back then. And the other thing is that... he has no room in his heart left for anyone else other than... her.

“I’m sorry.” Fushiguro said sternly.

This was all new to him, he'd never directly turned down a girl before, but he knew it was what he had to do.

"Why... why are you sorry?" Sayumi asked, as if she was confused at his response, as if she's never been turned down before

"There is someone else, and I have my heart and mind fully set on her. I cannot imagine myself with anyone else but her. I hope you can understand."

The expression on her face dropped, it was unlikely that she would ever get rejected.

Sayumi is objectively attractive and popular, if anything, she was the one usually turning people down.

"Well." She said, quite taken aback.

"I couldn't imagine you with anyone else either. It's just... not like you."

"I am not who I used to be."

At this moment, he could only think of her, of Y/N. He thought of her and how much he has changed as a person because of her. And in this moment he realize just how good she was for him. She makes him want to become a better person, she makes him want to leave his tainted past behind.

“Are you at least happy that I liked you?” Sayumi was close to tears, this was the first time she'd ever gotten rejected.

“Thank you for telling me. But I cannot give you the answer that you wanted,”

He bowed in respect to her, proceeding to turn the other way and leave.

“You’re so heartless!” Sayumi cried.

"I'm truly thankful for your feelings, Nakamura," he replied with sincerity, his voice gentle but resolute.

"But my heart already belongs to someone else, and she's the only one I want to be with. I hope you can understand. I'll be taking my leave now, please take care." His words conveyed his appreciation for her sentiments but also made clear his unwavering commitment to Y/N. To his girl.

Turning around, he made one last statement, time was running out, he had to go back.

And with that, Fushiguro quietly turned away and left.

It pained him to know he had disappointed Nakamura, but he couldn't stay any longer. This choice was the only one he could make, as he couldn't envision himself being  with anyone else.

It was in that moment that Fushiguro truly grasped the sentiment Yuuta had expressed about his heart belonging solely to Rika.

And as for Fushiguro, his heart was undeniably devoted to Y/N, and Y/N only.

“Who was that pretty girl you were talking to?” Itadori asked the moment they regrouped.

“My underclassmen back in junior high, it's nothing, just some stuff we needed to resolve. Anyways, let’s head back.”

The second years were occupied with their own activities, and as a result, Y/N didn't have much of an opportunity to see Fushiguro.

Meanwhile, the third years devoted their day to intensive training under the guidance of none other than Gojo Satoru. It indeed has been a while since... whatever that was they had. The only one occupying her mind lately was Fushiguro and not anyone else, not even the man man girls would die to just get a glimpse of.

But it all came back to her the moment he asked her to stay after class.

“Would you mind staying back?” Gojo whispered in her ears as the third years were about to take their leave.

She settled into her seat as the man approached her with deliberate steps.

He leaned in, positioning both of his hands on the edge of the desk, and gazed at her with his gorgeous blue eyes.

He was undeniably closer than he should be, his presence palpable and intense.

“You've been quite lately, haven't you?” he asked. Referring to the fact that she had not simply spoken to him at all lately.

“What’s the matter? Don’t need me to satisfy your needs anymore?”

For some reason, that Gojo effect that made her cave into his charms over and over again no longer works on her. She was no longer paralyzed nor unable to speak.

“That’s not it sir.” Y/N responded swiftly while eyes still locked onto his.

Gojo shifted even closer to her, their lips inches from touching.

But before it did, she brought her hand up, covering his mouth.

“Oh?” he sounded surprised.

Seems like he’s not used to women turning him down, truly a humbling experience.

“I think we should stop this, stop everything, and I really mean it.”

Gojo backed off and stood up to his full height, creating distance between them. Y/M could feel the awkward tension intensifying by the seconds.

“Do you have someone else to cater to your needs?”

"I will no longer be needing any of that, or any of you." She replied, her eyes fixed, her voice stern.

"Why the sudden change?" He asked, still seemingly unaware.

Gojo's hand traveled to rest on her waisted but she pushed him away.

"Has it ever occurred to you that what we've been doing is wrong? And on so many levels." Y/N retorted.

Gojo smirked, "Oh of course, that's why it's fun."

"Wipe that smirk off your face. It's not fun. Nothing about all this has been fun for me. You almost ruined things between me and Fushiguro, how could you say it's fun? And it's not like you weren't aware of it, you know I had a thing for him but you still chose to mess with me."

"You kissed me first, remember?"

"You took advantage of me. And you should be ashamed of yourself. You should leave, or I will."

"Alright then." He turned around, left the room without looking at her.

Losing was unusual for Gojo, after all, he didn’t earn the title World’s Strongest Sorcerer for no reason. But today, he lost. He lost to his own disciple, despite getting any woman he wanted, he could not get this one.

His entire plan had revolved around getting a reaction out of her, specifically to provoke Fushiguro.

Gojo's genuine desire was to witness Fushiguro's growth and success, watching the young man he once knew transform into a mature individual as he pursued the girl he wanted. He never meant for it to go as far as it did, but he had to admit, he'd been a real jerk to both of them for his own entertainment.

However, a subtle, buried feeling deep within him wished he could have earned even a small measure of her affection, perhaps even more.

In the late afternoon, the second-year students made their way back to campus, arriving just before dinner.

They gathered around the dining table, a cherished ritual where they shared their daily experiences. This part of their routine remained unwavering, a comforting constant amidst the chaos of life as jujutsu sorcerers.

Fushiguro took his seat opposite her at the table, and throughout the meal, their eyes met from time to time.

Despite all the time they've spent together, his presence still had the power to make her heart race.

She longed to gaze into his eyes, to reach out and touch him, and to hold him close.

It seemed like her thoughts were readable or perhaps said out loud through her expressions.

Fushiguro’s feet reached for hers under the table, keeping it there. Such a simple, small action, but it made such an impact.

"Hi."

"Hi."

They smiled at each other once dinner was over, everyone leaving the common room.

Every time his lips curved into damn smile, her world brightened.

"Are you headed back to your room?" He asked.

"No, are you?"

"No, not if you aren't."

With a warm smile, she suggested, "Let's go for a walk." It was the answer she had been hoping for, a chance to spend more time together.

As they strolled just outside the garden under the night sky, a serene atmosphere surrounded them.

The soothing rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze filled the air. In the dim moonlight, they found themselves admiring the beaty of Jujutsu Tech's Sakura garden, its beauty mirroring the peace they felt in each other's company.

Their fingers entwined, the touch of their hands sending a rush of warmth through their bodies.

It was as if they were a couple, and it filled her with an unparalleled happiness. It was in these moments, under the stars, that the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them and the enchanting, shared intimacy that made her heart sing.

"You know," he began, "someone actually confessed their feelings to me today, and surprisingly, it wasn't you." Fushiguro broke the comforting silence with a casual tone.

Y/N couldn't help but smile at his remark. "Oh really? And what was your response?"

Fushiguro paused, coming to a stop just in front of her. His gaze locked onto hers, and with utmost sincerity, he confessed,

"I told her that there's already a special someone who occupies my heart, and there isn't a single person in this world I'd ever consider trading her for."

The words flowed from his lips like a gentle promise, and his eyes revealed the depth of his emotions, leaving Y/N with a warm feeling of love and happiness that enveloped her heart.

"Y/N." He said, "You know that right? You know that you're the only person I could ever picture myself being with, right?"

The way he looked at her spoke volumes.

"So I'm being honest with you about what happened today," he continued, his words a gentle reassurance,

"But I'm telling you that you need not ever to be worried about me having feelings for someone else. Honestly, there is no one but you. You occupy every corner of my heart to the point where I feel like I might burst every time you look at me... and I can't help but wonder, how could someone as incredible as you ever like me? How did I get so lucky?" His confession held a vulnerability that laid bare his feelings, leaving Y/N with a warmth that filled her entire being.

"Megumi. I'm not worried about that. I'm not worried about anything, but thank you for telling me. But hey, she's got excellent taste"

They both laughed.

"And as for you, please don't say that," she said, voice filled with sincerity, "don't ever doubt that you're worthy of my affection. You are everything to me, and I like you because you're you. I like you just as you are. I cherish every part of you, every facet of your being."

Y/N looked into his eyes in a way that left no room for doubt about the sincerity of her feelings.

"I'm grateful for you. You're the only one for me."

Y/N whispered as she tiptoed to kiss his soft and flushed lips.

In that moment, it felt as though there was no one else in the world but the two of them.

After walking for a while, the night breeze was really starting to hit.

"Let's get back in yeah?"

As they walked back into the dormitory area, he noticed that she was looking down at her feet, fiddling with the hem of her coat.

“What’s the matter?”

She gave him a weak smile but didn't say anything.

“You can tell me anything.” Fushiguro smiled at her reassuringly. He never fails to flatter ger,

“Is it okay if I… stay in your room tonight? Just for tonight. And no, I won't disrupt your sleep again"

“Of course," He chuckled warmly, "and even if you do disturb my sleep, I wouldn’t mind, we can stay up together. Just being by your side is enough for me.”

A bright red painted on both their cheeks.

Fushiguro placed a hand on her head, “I’ll be in my room, come over whenever you please.”

As Y/N entered her dorm room and closed the door behind her, she couldn't resist the urge to flop down onto her bed, her feet playfully kicking in the air.

She felt like a little girl having her first crush all over again.

Everything about this evening, from his heartfelt words to the way he had looked at her, and that kiss – oh, that kiss.

It wasn't that this was their first night together; they had shared many before.

But it was the first time since they had confessed their feelings to each other, and the depth of their connection had made every moment even more exhilarating and magical.

Over in Fushiguro’s room, a swirl of excitement and lingering nervousness coursing through him.

Their walk, what she said to him, that kiss - still played vividly in his mind. It was a night he knew he would cherish forever.

Being alone with her never failed to make him happy. It was his favorite thing to do, the moments when it was just the two of them, with no one to interrupt, no distractions. There was only her, and in her presence, he felt more complete than ever.

Immersing in his thoughts still, Fushiguro was interrupted by knocking sounds outside his door.

Thinking it was Y/N, he leaped up from his bed and rushed over to open the door.

But his surprise (and disappointment), it wasn’t her.

It was Gojo Satoru.

“"Megumi, I have to say, I'm impressed," Gojo remarked as he casually entered the room.

Fushiguro regarded him with confusion, trying to make sense of the unexpected visit.

"It's her."

Perplexed, Fushiguro inquired, "Her? What about her?" His tone was noticeably defensive. He despised it when Gojo brought her up; it always felt oddly threatening for some inexplicable reason.

"She turned me down today. I had a feeling it had something to do with you," Gojo revealed.

This sentence lingered in his mind, knowing that it was because of him.

“You know Megumi, I think you’re the better man for her. You're the man she rightfully deserves.”

"I think so too."

Fushiguro nodded in agreement, a genuine smile gracing his face. This somehow filled Fushiguro with a sense of warmth and contentment he hadn't expected.

It was a rare sight to see him smile at Gojo, but the moment felt different.

"I did all this not just to mess with you. I did all that because I wanted to see you grow into a man. I wanted to see what you would do to win a girl over... Although I do admit, I have went overboard maybe once too many times, and I'm sorry. But I love you, and I'm proud of you for the man that you have and are still becoming, I hope you know that."

"Love you too... I guess." Fushiguro replied, his face flushed a deep red. It was actually one of the first times he ever said those words out loud.

"Good night kiddo." Gojo ruffled his hair affectionately and left the room.

He knows he doesn't act like it but Gojo was like family, he was like his father. Though however annoyed and pissed off he was at the numerous times where Gojo went a little too far, he thought it was all over and that it was all forgiven. Because now... He had her, all to himself, no one else.

Knock knock.

He was certain of the person behind the door this time. Opening it, he was greeted by the face of the girl he adored. Her hair was damp , she was wearing the shirt he gave her a while ago.

“Hey.” y/n said with a smile.

“Hi.” Fushiguro responded, still staring at her, she looked so good in his shirt.

y/n walked into his room. She hasn’t been here in a while since they spent most of their time around campus and walking at the lake. She could smell the familiar sweet scent of his clothes and bed sheet.

“Sit here.” He motioned her to sit on his couch. Fushiguro went into his bathroom, coming out with a hair dryer.

“Oh no, it’s fine! I like to dry my hair naturally.”

“It’s not good to sleep with damp hair, you know?” Running his fingers through her hair as he blew dried it. She could feel her heart heating up by the second. His touch was gentle and soft. Fushiguro’s hand traced down to her cheeks, turning her head around to face him.

“What?” she asked

“Nothing, I just really like looking at you.”

y/n turned around as an attempt to hide her blushing face.

The rest of the night was spent talking to one another, none of them wanting to fall asleep. They talked and talked, never getting bored of each other. y/n realized just how talkative Fushiguro can be, and she enjoyed listening to him.

The sky was getting lighter and lighter by the minute, sunlight peeking through his paper thin curtains.

“Oh my, it’s already dawn.” she jerked up, finally noticing how bright the sky was getting.

“Indeed it is.” Fushiguro sat up, “It’s okay, we have the day off. Would you like to go up to the rooftop, the sun is rising.”

The two of them went up to the rooftop, the place where y/n knew that she had fallen in love with him.  Tip toeing, hands intertwined, being as quiet as they possibly could. They sat there, watching the sun rise higher and higher.

“So beautiful.” He said, looking at her.

She held his gaze, despite the breathtaking view, in front of them, they were looking at each other. Fushiguro leaned in, kissing her softly on the lips. y/n wrapped her hands around his arms, pulling him closer.

After they broke off the kiss, he placed his head on her shoulders, “I’m getting tired.” he yawned.  “Let’s go back shall we?” she asked.

He’s already asleep, head rested on her, eyes shut.

Well… maybe she could stay here for a bit longer.

Chapter Text

y/n’s birthday was coming in a week, Fushiguro was well aware of this and he wanted to make the best out of it. His special girl on her special day. He’s never been very efficient at planning parties or anything of that sort, but for her, he’ll try.

The night before her 18th birthday, y/n was sitting in her room, looking up at the sky through the opened windows of her dorm room. Reminiscing about her childhood days and how all of it was going to be over soon, she was going to be an adult. The adult world always seemed so mystical to her as a kid, but now, it’s here right in front of her. She’d graduate high school soon, leave everything behind and start fresh, leave Fushiguro behind…

Then it hit her,  she would have to leave him behind after graduation, y/n wouldn’t be able to see him everyday, wouldn’t be able to be around him everyday. This made her heart ache, she did not want to be apart from him, she did not want to leave him.

Feeling a lump in her throat, tears rolling down her cheeks. “I don’t want that. I don’t want to be away from him.” Conversing her thoughts out loud.

The clock says 11:45PM , exactly 15 minutes until her 18th birthday. A huge milestone in her life, yet, she’s sitting here, crying.

y/n heard knocking outside her door and immediately wiped the tears on her face, not wanting whoever that was behind the door to see her in this state.

Opening up the door to the spiky haired boy in his usual black sweatshirt, he was standing there, holding a bag of something.

Despite trying so hard to cover up the fact that she was crying just now, the moment she saw the boy, tears started flowing again. y/n pulled him into a tight hug, burying her face in his chest.

“Hey… What’s the matter?” He asked her, dropping the bag to the floor to hug her with both his arms.

“Nothing,” her words muffled. Fushiguro pulled away to look at her, his hand wiping the tears rolling down her cheeks as she continued to sob.

“If something is up, you can always tell me.”

y/n stayed silent.

Picking up the bag that he dropped, Fushiguro held her hands as he led her into the room.

“Close your eyes,” he said.

y/n obligated. He turned her around facing the other direction.

After a while, y/n was getting impatient, “Can I open my eyes now?” she asked.

Feeling his hands covering her eyes from behind, he turned her around again.

“Count to 3,”

“Okay, one… two… three..”

Fushiguro dropped his hands down, revealing to her a small cupcake with a candle that marks “18” on it, besides was a gift box wrapped neatly with a birthday card next to it.

“Sorry I couldn’t get you more, but I wanted to be the first one to celebrate this with you.” He said as his hands dropped down to hug her waist.

Too stunned to speak, she just stood there in amazement, staring at the adorable little celebration he had prepared.

“No, this is more than enough,I don’t deserve all this, thank you, thank you so much.” y/n turned around to hug him.

“Don’t say that, you deserve all the best things in the world.” he said reassuringly. Maybe that’s why she has him in her life, the best person in the world.

y/n spent the last minutes of her 17th year just looking at the boy in front of her, mesmerized by him, everything about him that she forgot about the time.

          One minute left.

Fushiguro lit up the candle on the cupcake, “Here, make a wish.”

y/n closed her eyes. Despite having everything she wanted already, she still wished, wished for him to be by her side, the only thing she yearned for was to be next to him, to be with him. To be by his side until the end of time.

“Three, two, one….”

She blew the candle.

Slowly opening her eyes, the first sight that greeted her at the start of her new age was his smile, a smile that can seep into her heart.

“What did you wish for?” He asked.

“Nothing.” she replied, cheeks slightly flushing.

She wished he knew, she wished he would have understood how much he meant to her. Light of her life, light of the world that’s what he is. Perhaps they were friends first and lovers second, maybe this is what lovers are, what lovers do.

Hands moving up to caress his face, y/n leaned in to kiss him. Soft, tender, warm, fulfilling as ever. Fushiguro pulled her in by the waist, closing up the gap between them. Pulling away, their foreheads pressed against each other.

“Happy birthday.”

“I’m so grateful for you.” y/n spoke as she gazed into his deep blue orbs, pupils dilated.

She was never so fond of gifts, never receiving expensive things either. But if someone were to ask her what was precious most to her, it would be him. A gift better than luxurious things, a gift  better than anything she could wish for. Aware that they are both still very young and have a lot ahead of them. Still, she couldn't help feeling this way. y/n wanted him to be by her side, for as long as he could. A year, ten years, twenty years or even more.

Chapter Text

A small birthday party Nobara had organized took place that night. It wasn’t particularly a huge party, only people in Jujutsu Tech attended. y/n preferred it this way actually, partying all out wasn’t in her best interests, considering what happened a while ago…

She got out of the shower to Nobara continuously knocking on her door.

“y/n? Are you done? You must be ready in an hour!”

“Relax… We’ve got an hour.”

“I know! I want you to look the best you’ve ever looked tonight! It’s your special night.”

“Itadori, come help out you’re not contributing to anything.” Fushiguro said irritatingly. The boys were putting birthday decorations up under Maki’s guidance. Fushiguro seemed to be the most enthusiastic, obviously he wouldn’t show it, but he was beyond excited for this part. His special girl on her special day.

“Oh man you sure are enthusiastic aren’t you?” Itadori teased, “Can’t remember the last time you were so willing to participate in decorating parties… Must be—-”

Fushiguro knocked him on the head, “Shut up.” But he knew Itadori was right, he couldn’t remember the last time he was so excited for a party, was he ever even excited for a party? He doesn’t know, but his thoughts are full of her right now. He wants to see her, to talk to her, to be next to her.

He smiled to himself, even the thought of her, the thought of seeing her made him smile.

“Alright… that should do!” For the past hour or so, Nobara had spent trying to perfect y/n’s looks for tonight.

“You look so beautiful I feel like I could cry.” the girl said, tearing up a bit.

“Nobara, save the crying for later shall we?” y/n smiled, kissing her friend on the cheeks.

“Fushiguro sure is one lucky guy…” Nobara teased.

Even the slight mention of his name was enough to fluster her. y/n turned around, not wanting to show her expression.

“Well…I must say I’m the lucky one.”

“No he for sure is, you are the coolest most gorgeous girl I know! Honestly how did he manage to get you to fall for him?”

At these words, it irritated y/n a little more than anticipated. She didn’t want to get upset but she was so defensive of him.

“Don’t say that. Don’t ever say that! Megumi being in my life was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I could honestly go on for hours about him, he makes me feel so many feelings and I just can’t seem to get rid of them. Please don’t ever say things like that about him again, it really upsets me.” She felt a slight lump in her throat. Why was she getting so emotional?

“Oh I’m so sorry.” Nobara pulled her into a hug, “I didn’t mean to upset you! Never would I want that! I have this habit of talking like that about boys, I’m sorry y/n, so sorry!”

y/n wrapped her arms around Nobara, “I know, I’m aware, it’s just… I get so defensive about him, he just… drives me insane.”

After a while, Nobara said she had some “business to attend to” then proceeded to rush out of y/n’s room.

Leaving y/n alone with her thoughts. Looking in the mirror, a baby blue dress with flower patterns on it, the way this dress cinched her waist in, making her physique look even more delicate and elegant. Her hair was personally braided by Nobara, she was quite surprised how good the girl was at braiding hair considering how she had short hair for the majority of her life.

She twirled around, feeling very secure and confident about herself.

While she was still admiring herself, y/n heard knocking on her door. She walked out and opened it.

“Who’s there?”

There was no mistaking who was behind the door. A tall white haired man, wearing his usual circular tinted glasses. She had not spoken to him ever since that day after class, now, feeling the awkward sensation and tension as he stood in front of her.

“Happy Birthday.”

“Thank you… sensei.”

“You look great.” He complimented her. She gave him a weak smile, still feeling very awkward around this man considering what they had in the past.

“She does look absolutely beautiful.” Another voice spoke up.

Both of them turned around. Fushiguro walked up to the pair and took y/n’s hand, he walked the other direction, pulling her along with him.

They stopped when Gojo was out of sight. Letting go of her hand, Fushiguro covered his face.

“I’m sorry, it’s just… I can’t stand you being around him.”

He took his hands off his face and looked at her, she could physically hear her heartbeat, he was so close.

“Is it okay though? To be this selfish?” He asked, hands finding hers once more. “I’m a very selfish person, it’s hard to keep my cool. Are you okay with that?”

He left her speechless, dumbfounded. Not only does he look taller, manlier in this outfit. She could sense that he was acting differently as well. y/n doesn’t want to admit it, but his possessiveness was making butterflies flutter in her  stomach and her face burn red hot. She felt like she could explode under his gaze and the way he was looking down at her.

“It’s okay with me.”

After hearing her reassurance, Fushiguro leaned down and rested his head on her shoulders. He smiled to himself.

“Let’s head to the party, shall we?”

They walked to the party together, his hand placed on her waist the entire time. As they entered, everyone came and greeted y/n with “Happy Birthdays” and gifts.

Nobara suddenly bursted into tears after y/n blew the candle. she flung her arms over her, hugging her tightly. Y/n patted her friend on the head, “Now now, I should be the one crying, not you.”  she wiped Nobara’s tears away.

Feeling a hand placed over hers, she turned around to see Fushiguro sitting next to her. Y/n knew that he was probably not so fond of public displays of affection, but just a little bit of skin to skin contact was more than enough, she knew that they were aware of each other.

About an hour later, when all the singing and dancing had subsided. Everyone was just immersed in their own conversations with one another, y/n was glad to see how close Nobara and Maki were, surely she knew that this was what made her friend happy. While y/n sat there admiring the other pair, she felt taps on her shoulder which caught her attention.

“Do you want to get out of here?” the boy asked, speaking next to her ear so that no one but her could hear.

“Okay, let’s leave.”

The pair of them quietly snuck out, trying their best not to catch anyone’s attention.

“Are you not enjoying the party?” Fushiguro asked.

“That’s not it, of course I enjoyed it. It’s just that I prefer being with you, alone.”

          His cheeks went pink.

They walked all the way up to the lake near Jujutsu Tech. It was quite late, the moon was all the way up and illuminating the night sky. There was a small record shop nearby, music started playing as they walked by.

Fushiguro stopped at a halt, “Shall we dance?” he asked, placing a hand in front of him.

She smiled at him, how could she have imagined the night of her 18th birthday to go so well? Dancing by the lake under the night sky while music softly playing from the record shop nearby with the boy she loved. His hands around her waist, her arms around his neck, they stood there, looking eye to eye. She could never get tired of looking at him, it’s like every time she does, she falls more and more in love.

Surely people would’ve noticed that the pair of them are missing right now, but that didn’t matter to her, nothing else in the world matters to her right now. Only him, the boy in front of her, the boy she’s head over heels for.

“I wanted to give you this, a present.” He said, hands in his pocket looking for something.

“Oh no that won’t be necessary! You have given me more than I could ever ask for.”

He smiled, pulling out a silver necklace. There was a small heart design on it.

“Here, turn around, let me put it on you.”

As he parted her hair to the side, hands glistening over the back of her neck, y/n could feel her face heating up by the second. Clip. The necklace was now on her, she knew that she would never even think of taking this off, forever remembering this night.

    “Be with me.”

He spoke suddenly , placing his hands on her shoulders.

“I wanted to wait longer to ask you, to wait for a more special moment but I can’t wait anymore.” He continued,

“Can I be the one for you? Will you be my woman?”

Hands trailing down her arms then resting them on her sides.

“You are dearest to me, you know that right? I promise I will cherish you, promise that I will never make you cry ever again. If I keep living from this day, I want to do it with you. So, be with me.”

Before she could even come up with a proper response, she turned around and pulled him into a kiss. Her heart was racing so fast she felt like it could jump out of her chest at any moment. Not having the right words to describe how she was feeling right now, she relied on her actions. y/n’s arms wrapped tightly around his neck, lips pressed tightly against his. She had to tip toe a bit, he was getting taller. Fushiguro’s hands wrapped around her waist, she could also hear his heartbeat as they embraced one another. No other one in the world could make her feel so happy, no other one could compare. Of course she wanted to be with him even if it meant being with him forever.

Pulling away from their kiss, foreheads resting against each other.

“ I want to be with you, you are what’s most precious to me. Thank you for being in my life.”

She had finally been able to say it all out loud, but there was much more to say. They danced and danced, even as the night grew colder, it didn’t matter, nothing else mattered to them at that moment. Eye to eye, holding each other tight, she could see her future in his eyes, his smile.

She was very much like the moon, illuminating his dark night sky. The everlasting light that shines down on him, she gave him purpose, she gave him what no one else could’ve, she liked him for who he truly is, he could be himself around her without being afraid of judgment. She made him realize that being in love isn’t just liking someone for their appearance or how nicely they treat you, but it’s about how they make you feel, how a person can motivate you to be the best version of yourself, how a person can be around you with no judgment and love you for being just you. Light of his life, light of the world that’s what she is.

They could not take their eyes off each other that night. It was just the two of them under the moonlight, no one else, nothing else.  In his arms, is where she wants to be, it’s so sweet and heavenly.

“You’re finally mine.”

Chapter Text

Young love, the purest form of love. I loved him and I truly did, my first love, I want it to also be my last. As we grow older, he’s still  by my side, he never left me, maybe distance but never heart.

I found myself sitting beside him at a bar one late afternoon, despite being younger, he's the more responsible one. I’m a lightweight person, just a few drinks would get me tipsy. I don’t recall much from that night, only the smell of him, the familiar and sweet scent that has been lingering for the past three years. His scent was  like home, a place where I want to return to, always. Nothing had changed ever since my last year as a high school student, I’m still as in love as ever. Every time I look at him, talk to him, I see something new, something that interests me. I love him, I love him so much, I tell him that often, I want him to know how much I care for him even if it’s through my actions and not spoken words.

I’m sitting beside her now, she was plastered. Knowing how sensitive she is to alcohol, it reminded me of us from three years ago. I smiled, smiled at her drunken face, her fluttering half-closed eyelids.

“Come on it’s late, let me carry you home.” I took the drink from her hand.

“I can walk, I can, put me down.” She mustered, her words were barely audible, she was already half asleep.

“You don’t sound like it.”

“I would be a burden for you.”

“I should be able to carry you now, let’s go.” Kneeling down to the floor as she plopped onto my back. Her hands wrapped tightly around me.

This is the woman I love, my first love, my first everything. I might not be her first, but I’m working my way to be her last, to have a future with her for years and years to come. She mesmerized me, everything she does is mesmerizing. From her smile, the way she talks, the way she parts her hair, the way she wouldn’t hesitate to help others when needed, her hobbies and interests, her everything. Now that I’m more of a man than a boy, I want to be able to provide for her, seeing her small body under my embrace, noticing how much I’ve grown in height while she stays the same. I want to protect her, I always have. Even as a naïve teenage boy, I still wanted to protect her, I want to be a reliable man for her, I want to be the best version of myself for her. When you’re alone, I will reach for you. When you feel alone, I will be there too. I will always be by your side, until the end of time.

“Megumi.” She whispered into my ears as I’m carrying her on my back, away from the bar.

“Yes?”

“Thank you, for the past three years.”

“Why are you saying this now all of a sudden? Are you that drunk?” I responded, smiling to myself.

“Sure isn’t. I just wanted to… Thank you, for being by my side.” She continued, her head placed on my shoulder.

The scenery was as peaceful as ever, we walked past a lake. Looking up, the moon was shining ever so brightly, I can’t help but reminisce about me and her back in our highschool days. Moonlit night sky, calm lake, sunset, sunrise, faint music playing from afar, it’s all so nostalgic to me, it all reminded me of just the two of us.

“I want to be by your side for years and years to come, is that okay?” I told her, knowing that she probably wouldn’t even remember this conversation by the morning.

“Be with me forever, okay?”

My cheeks felt warm. Despite being together all these years, I still fall in love over and over again, I’m still like a little boy crushing for the first time, I mean, she was my first after all.

“Is that a marriage proposal?” I teased. It eventually would be one, the only difference is that I would be the one properly getting down on one knee for her, asking for her hand, asking her to spend the rest of our lives together.

“It is.” Her response sounded hush, I figured she was slowly drifting to sleep by now.

“I promise I will take care of you, for as long as I can. I want to cherish you. Even if everything is wrong, it would be alright, you’re the only good thing in my life.”

I was conversing my thoughts out loud, not even knowing if she’s listening or not.

“Hey Megumi.” She spoke after a while.

“What is it?”

“You have to let me take care of you too, okay?”

“There’s no need.” I giggled, “I want to be a man suitable for you, a man who can take care of myself and provide for you as well.”

We continued to walk down the street towards her apartment block. The place where I would visit every time I have the chance. We live about an hour away from each other, but despite that and despite everything, I still make time to see her, just like how she makes time for me. An independent woman who can take care of herself, I admire her for that, but I still want to give her the best, give her what she deserves.

“I love you, so much, just as you are.”

My lady, my love, my present and my future, the only one I can picture by my side. I love her, and I know she loves me too, just as much.

I look forward to a future with you everyday and I hope you do too.
