The cold morning air was still as Akamatsu Kaede and Saihara Shuichi sat at an old park bench. It was so early the sky was still a dark blue fading to black. Neither of the two were speaking infact it was so quite Akamatsu thought she could here a pin drop. She looked over her shoulder and saw Saihara taking off his hat. She noticed how pretty his eyes were.
She never knew grey could be this mesmerising.
She also hadn't known how delicate his features were. His button nose was so adorable she wanted to pinch it! His eyelashes were so thick and long Akamatsu wondered if he were mascara or eye liner. The moonlight only made Saihara seem more ethereal to Akamatsu.
'Hey um Akamatsu-san why are you staring at me? Shoot is s-something on my face.' The meek boy frantically tried to put his hat back on until Akamatsu stopped him and took the hat away from him.
'Nothing is wrong I was just admiring your face' Akamatsu said bluntly. She giggled as Saihara turned a deep crimson. 'Oh and also call me Kaede- without honorifics I think that we are close enough for that' Akamatsu cooed.
The truth was Akamatsu and Saihara never really defined their relationship. They weren't friends. Their relationship was deeper than that, but they also never officially became a couple. Multiple times Akamatsu waved away the idea of love. She originally thought the feelings she felt for Saihara was just infactuation. However the more time she spent with him proved otherwise. They had met one day when they were both on the train going to their schools.(the two had never seen each other before as they go to different schools) Saihara was trying to find a seat and ended up falling on top of a man. The man started shouting at Saihara and being the shy boy that he was Saihara just took it. Akamatsu enraged had stood in front Saihara and used her school bag to hit the man. Both Akamatsu and the man had gotten a verbal warning from the police but Akamatsu couldn't care less. After that day Saihara followed her wherever she went after school like a lost puppy following it's owner.
'Kaede' Saiharas voice snapped Akamatsu put of her thoughts. Her name sounded so sweet coming from his voice. 'Kaede' Saihara said as the morning air froze his breathe, leading to wisps of fog coming from his mouth. 'What made you lose your faith in humanity?'
Akamatsu went silent and placed Saiharas cap on her own head. It wasn't the first time that Saihara had asked that question, ever since he had seen her audition tape. Akamatsu had never answered because she didn't really know why she had no faith in humanity. Sure there were alot of reasons but whenever she was with Saihara they all seemed to leave her head. It was as if Saihara made her see the beauty in the world.'It's ok if you dont want to answer I just want you to know i'm here for you.' Akamatsu hummed as she placed her head on Saiharas shoulder. 'Yeah yeah I know just don't get all soppy on me'
The two teens watched the sun rise as Akamatsu got up off of the bench. She gave Saihara his hat back and said 'I think I am going to school now. Bye!' She flattened her skirt and walked off. Saihara watched as she faded into the distance and sighed.
'She is beautiful.' Saihara whispered under his breathe.
