Chapter Text

You lie down in your bed, reading on your phone— exhausted from the week’s work. In fact, you were so tired that you ended up just buying some McDonald’s just so you wouldn’t have to make dinner for yourself. It was Friday night and you were alone in the dorms.

Despite this fact you just chilled in your room, listening to music playlists from your laptop. Sighing you sit up and throw your legs over the bed. Your feet came into contact with the cold tiles, which provided a soothing feeling to your warm skin. You reach over to your bookshelf to take a sip from your drink that you ordered along with your meal to soothe your parched throat. As your mouth came into contact with the straw you heard a knock on your dorm room.

You stared at your door quizzically, wondering who it could be since you could’ve sworn you were the only one remaining in the dorms for this weekend.

“Can I come in?” you heard the gentle voice speak through your door. You gave a sound of approval and Midoriya came through the door into your room. You looked at him with tired eyes. He seemed to notice how expressionless your face was, but before he could utter a word you asked: “What are you doing here? I thought everyone went home for the weekend?”

“O-Oh! I was set to go home, but my mom had something come up so she won’t be at home this weekend so I stayed behind…” came the nervous and fast paced response. You gave a slight smile in response to his swift statement. “I actually came to your room because I wondered if you wanted to watch a movie with me in the communal area since we are the only ones here. But you seem to be tired and it is late, so I’d rather not trouble you—”

“I’m down,” you cut him off. He paused for a second before looking at you. You reconfirmed his inquiries. “It’s alright, I’m down for a movie. I wasn’t planning on sleeping for a while anyway.”

He gave you a friendly smile before saying he’ll have some popcorn ready downstairs and that you need only bring your hard drive. In terms of entertainment, you were the movie supplier in the dorms. Though your recommendations mostly consisted of animated movies like Zootopia or Big Hero 6. This didn’t seem to bother your classmates though. They sometimes joined you when you were watching movies in your room alone.

Standing up with a stretch you grab your hard drive and leave your room, not bothering to put on some slippers. Upon reaching the first floor you could smell the scent of popcorn coming from the kitchen. Midoriya looked up from the bucket of popcorn he was shaking to give you a smile.

You gave him a small, tired smile as well before cutting straight to the living area. He followed suit, walking with a bucket of flavored popcorn in his arms.

You noticed that his laptop was on the coffee table which had been connected to the TV and asked if you could plug in the hard drive. He gave you a nod. You plugged it in and told him he could pick a movie since you didn’t have anything specific in mind. You sat back on the couch while he navigated the drive. In the end, he decided on Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.

Of course he’d pick a superhero movie, you chuckled to yourself. Not that you complained, after all, it was a good movie. Switching the lights off, Midoriya pressed play on the laptop. The movie began on the TV as he snuggled himself on the couch in an All Might blanket. It made you smile ever so slightly in the darkness. He truly is a fanboy.

Diverting your attention to the movie, you almost forgot about Midoriya and he almost forgot about you as you sat on opposite ends of the couch. The only time your concentration was broken away from the movie was when the room became so cold that you began shivering.

After a somewhat vivid shudder from the cold, which you tried desperately to hide, Midoriya was taken out of his trance from the movie. He looked over at you, noticing how you were shivering.

“If you’re cold, we could share my blanket,” he offered, opening a part of the blanket. The thought of sitting so close to him made the blood rush to your face. You were set on refusing and Midoriya noticed this in your facial expression. However, once you locked eyes with him, seeing the sincerity and determination in his expression, you realized his stubbornness wouldn’t let you refuse. So, you reluctantly agreed and shuffled closer to him. He wrapped a warm arm around your shoulders along with the blanket. The sudden heat gave you goosebumps. Your muscles tensed, but soon relaxed into the warmth and the body on your left side.

You heaved a sigh of relief, staring at the movie, and Midoriya looked down at you with a very light shade of pink dusting his cheeks. He didn’t think you’d accept his offer, but now that you had he was somewhat flustered. In fact, he tried his best to keep you from his chest so that you wouldn’t notice his rapidly beating heart.

After about halfway into the movie your eyelids grew heavy and you became aware of just how comfortable you were getting. You tried forcing yourself to stay awake, even suppressing a yawn once so as not to alert Izuku. However, the effort was all to no avail, you closed your eyes once “to rest them”, but ended up falling asleep barely two minutes later.

At some point near the end of the movie, Izuku chuckled at the show. This subsided as he took note of how still and silent you had been for the past half an hour. He looked down at you, concerned, but saw your sealed eyes. His expression softened and he smiled ever so slightly. He wanted to pull you closer, but for fear of waking you he decided not to. So he settled back into his seat and finished the movie.

Once the movie ended, he was faced with a new challenge. He shuffled as carefully as he could to switch the TV and his laptop off. Relieved you didn’t even stir, he sighed. Looking down at your face one last time he moved back on the couch, deciding not to leave or take you to your room. Once he was comfortable, resting his head against the arm of the couch, he shifted you ever so lightly to ensure you wouldn’t be too stiff when you woke up. You were still lying against him as you slept. His face flushed a bit more now than the previous times, even his ears became red this time, but before he even gave himself the time to acknowledge why he shut his eyes.

It was just past midnight, and you were both tired, and you were both asleep on the couch.
