It took South Terano numerous attempts on getting Y/N on a date with him.
It all started when even went up to the point of trespassing your school just so he could see you and give you an expensive bento (that he bought with his own money). At first you found it creepy, scared that the 215cm dude had bad intentions and that he would crush you any time he wanted. Having friends who's protective of you, they even tried to block him from entering your class. The school teacher and even the security guards were scared to do anything because of his size.
"(Y/N)! I got you chocolates!", South said over the group of people holding him back.
Y/N stared at the taller man, seeing the genuine eyes and a large smile on his face when you finally faced him. He waved the box of chocolates in his hands but before he could (easily) go through the group of gremlins, a baton hit South right on his head causing him to turn his head to face the offender. It was none other than the infamous Haitani brothers with their usual fashionable outfits. Girls were squealing at the sight of them causing a commotion.
"Now now, South. I heard you were lingering here again. Don't you think you're causing trouble for (Y/N)? She seemed upset", Rindou eyed at you with a smile.
"Let's go back, we got business to do", Ran continued and waved at you with his gloved hands. "(Y/N)! Sorry, for the trouble. This blockhead is just bad at flirting"
South looked reluctant to move away but seeing how (Y/N) seemed to agree that he was causing her discomfort, he turned to follow the brothers with a small pout.
"Phew, finally he's gone", a girl sat in front of you with a big smile. She was your best friend and you just knew she was going to tease you over it.
"Someone has an admirer!~ Hey, why won't you just accept him? Just for one date and see how it goes", she stared at you with determined eyes.
"Shut up, I've never been to a date before", you blushed softly.
Before your best friend could continue to push you over it and annoy you, the school bell rang.
You forgot you had to stay over at school to finish cleaning your art supplies with your other club members. School ended hours ago and the sky had turned yellow, it was almost winter too. The temperature had dropped increasingly every second the sun goes down. Thankfully you brought your thick scarf so you can warm up. As you finished putting away the canvas onto a corner, you heard a friend calling over.
You walked down the same hallway towards the exit with your friend with curiosity. Then your friend whispered to your ear as your eyes caught a glimpse of a tall man by the gates.
'Hey, it's the same dude! Has he been waiting for you? It's almost past six...'
"Damn, he's been waiting under this freezing weather?? Is he crazy"
As the murmurs within your club members escalates, your body moved by it's own towards the figure whom you know so well.
South turned his head to see the approaching person as his usual smile appeared on his well-sculptured face when he noticed that it was you.
You stared at him back but you had to crane your neck upwards so you could meet his eyes. Well, the man was built like a tree and he could easily hover over you with his height. You noticed his nose and cheeks was already red from the freezing temperature but... why? Why does South insists on waiting for you? What if you sneaked out from another exit, would he still wait?. Your intrusive thoughts started to fill your mind.
This idiot...
"Bend down", your softly spoke and the other followed like a loyal doggy. He knelt down slightly so you were both are eye to eye.
"(Y/N)?", his eyes widened when he felt the velvet scarf wrapped around his neck and the clothing was still connected to you. It looked like the red string of fate.
"It's cold. Don't get yourself sick", you looked away, trying to hide the incoming blush on your cheeks. Even if the other realizes it, you can blame the weather for that.
The blonde giant went silent, words could not come out of his mouth like he always do. He stood back up trying to process on what just happened and was thankful that the scarf was long enough to compensate the height differences. This was the first time you had initiated something, South thought. Both you and him just stared at each other for a moment and as time passes, it became slightly awkward. He quickly came up with a topic.
"(Y/N)... Does that mean you'll date me now?", his eyes sparkled as a soft blush appeared on his cheeks.
Your face heated up at his question. You had always feared for this question for the longest time since you met South back at the station. You don't know what to answer because you were not sure on how to respond to his feelings and due to rumors, the taller male did not had a good reputation amongst your friends. Plus, because of your cared fail relationships you had before, the insecurities rises when another one comes by declaring their love as if they are 'the one'. Although with all of those damned intrusive thoughts, you felt like you wanted to give South a chance. The last chance for love before you actually give up on it.
"If... If I give you a chance, will you stop coming here?", you just don't want others to talk about South badly behind him. Their words somehow irritate you.
"If you allow me to walk you back home after school, then yes", he nodded as he grinned happily that you finally accepted to date him.

That weekend, you promised South to meet up at a nearby mall at noon. You wore a soft blue dress that drapes down to your knees with a belt hugging perfectly on your waist, paired with a pair of black pumps (so you could at least be slightly taller) matched with a peach strap bag decorated with small stars. You looked down on your phone notifying you that it was twelve noon and you could not see any tall figure anywhere. Sitting down at a public nearby a small waterfall in the middle of the mall, you felt someone sitting next to you. Assuming it was South trying to surprise you, you smiled softly at person beside you only for it to turn into a frown. Leaning against the bench and staring at you was none other than your asshole of an ex. You immediately scooted away when he laughed at your reaction.
"Hey (Y/N), wasn't that a bit rude? What are you doing here?", he eyes to your clothing and he chuckled. "Ah I see now... You're meeting someone new? That's why you're all dressed up like this looking pretty like a doll. Are you waiting to be used by the next one?", he laughed a bit louder this time when you glared at him.
When you were about to punch him across the face for saying whatever he wanted, you gasped when you saw a big pair of hands grabbed your ex by the head before he was slammed him down onto the floor mercilessly. The guy coughed out in pain and when you looked up, it was South Terano, the guy you were on a date with today. He had this dangerous glint in his eyes when he eyed the man rolling on the ground. Probably broke his shoulders but he didn't care.
When you called out for your date, South's tight face immediately soften the moment he looked at you.
A soft worried look plastered allover his face, "Are you okay? Did he hurt you? I'm sorry I was late. I was helping a granny cross the road". You found that unexpectedly cute.
He didn't touch you but just looked at you up and down for any bruises. If he does find one, he will deal with that man at an empty alley with his members. You shake your head and assuring South that you were fine. When you stood up, you gasped when you saw your ex standing with his limp body behind South. The asshole tried to swing a punch towards your date but the taller male was quicker. With a killer punch to the guts, your ex was back on the ground coughing and vomiting his breakfast allover the floor.
"Go away. Don't ruin my date with the love of my life", South snarled. He then turned towards you with a big smile like a fluffy poodle.
"Let's go, (Y/N)!", he cheerfully said.
It was a bit awkward now that you just witnessed your date beat up your ex till he vomited in public. But somehow you felt safe with him. A small chuckle came out from your mouth and South who has been looking at you the whole time found it adorable. He blushed at the sight of you smiling and it made his heart beat faster.
You suggested to watch a movie. The blonde male agreed and went over to the cinema on the highest floor. While the both of you were waiting in the line, you felt a hand on your back and it belonged to South. He didn't say anything but he was seen pouting slightly and you wondered why. When you look to your back, there were two guys behind you and was seem to be too close on your back (it's because the cinema was packed). South deliberately did that so you could stay close to him but didn't want to admit it.
'How cute', you giggled again and your date was seen coughing and looking away, hiding his growing blush.
When it was your turn to buy the tickets, South was seen nervous seeing all the movie options. Everything was mostly romance for couples and he couldn't choose.
You saw how troubled your date was so you spoke instead. "Two tickets for this movie, please!", you pointed at a popular romance movie and South just nodded at your choice.
When the both of you were seated at the most corner (due to South's height), you took the seat next to the wall since it has always been your favorite spot. The blonde male had already sat down carrying two popcorns and two drinks after he refused to let you carry them. You had to move across South's lap and when you squeezed through, your foot slipped and you accidentally fell and cornered your date on the seat. Both of you were inches away from each other's face and you felt your cheeks heating up almost immediately. Same goes to him.
'S-Sorry!", you quickly moved and sat on your chair while avoiding contact for a while. South just chuckled softly at your reaction.

It was almost the end of the movie, obviously the main character will confess her love to the dude and they will kiss. The cliche romance route. You expected it already but you just could not let your eyes off the screen waiting for that to happen. What you didn't realize was when you were trying to search for the popcorn with your hand going around aimlessly, you finally found one but you felt another warmth which surprised you. Turning your head to the side, South was looking at you with a smile as your hand was holding his inside the popcorn box.
"Do you want to hold hands?", he whispered.
You became speechless and when you were about to pull your hand back, South held it instead. Surprised by his action, you glance at him for an explanation.
"I'm your date today. Holding hands is allowed at least, right?", Of course the latter would let go if you said no.
Instead, you let it be. You let the blonde male hold your hand throughout the movie and both of you could not focus on the story anymore. It was filled with the rapid heartbeats of two idiots in love.
When the movie ended, you let go of his hand and South was disappointed at the loss of warmth from your soft hands. As the both of you exited the cinema hall, the taller male kept looking at his hand missing the feeling of your hand in his. You realized this when he kept glancing at you, so you made a move by holding his much larger hand without him expecting it. It earned a surprised look on South but it slowly turned into a gleeful look, a small blush painting his strong face. He looked so vulnerable and not as scary as you thought he was and how dead wrong your friends were.
As the both of you were smiling to each other, the sound of your growling stomach took his attention. He gave out a small laughter at that and immediately apologized after you started to pout.
"I know a good place to eat here, (Y/N)!", South exclaimed as he lead you over to a hamburger restaurant. Thankfully there were not a lot of people dining in which made it easier for you and him to find a table after ordering your food.
South was carrying a tray full of burgers and two drinks. Which you only ordered a set of burger while he had six of them. Not like you were judging him since he has a large body, it was understandable for him to eat that many. Of course, South paid for everything despite you were begging to pay your own food but his pleading eyes made you give up on that idea. He was just too adorable to say 'no' to. The taller male started chomping down on his burgers in two to three bites each and his full cheeks reminds you of a chipmunk. South was a sloppy eater and you were grateful that he was comfortable to eat like that around you, it just shows that both of you shared the same vibe and had nothing to hide about. As you were biting into your burger, you didn't realized there was a tomato sauce stuck onto your left cheek. He was staring at you for a moment and you wondered why.
"Is something wrong?"
South gulped down the food in his mouth before reaching out to your face with his hand slowly, you blinked your eyes a few times before you felt his thumb wiping the sauce on your cheeks. He then grinned when you started to blush.
"Such a clumsy girl", he commented and ignored your cute angry glare as he chomped onto his food while looking away.

It was already late evening and you missed the last bus. South saw your troubled look and asked, "What's wrong?", which you replied, "Oh, it's just that I missed the last bus home".
"Follow me, I brought my motorcycle. I'll send you home", he suggested and you had no choice but to agree.
As the both of you drove out, you held onto his waist from behind. You felt his warm back onto your cheek. The cold weather didn't bothered you a bit but it did bothered South a lot. The fact that the girl he liked is now riding his motorcycle with him AND holding onto his waist, being so afraid of falling down, he was red from blushing.
Your house was still far away so you decided to open a topic to talk to ignore the rapid heartbeat coming from South.
"So... South? Why do you like me?"
"Why?", South gave your question a thought.
"Well, you pursued me non-stop and even trespassed my school just to see me. What did I ever do to make you f-fall for me?", you feel your cheeks heating up.
"Seems like you didn't remember", he smiled softly.
You wanted to ask more but the motorcycle stopped abruptly, causing you to squeeze him tighter from behind. You peeked to see what made South stop. Then you realized he stopped by the train station. The place where you met South for the first time. Unfortunately you could not recall on what happened on that day.
"Hey (Y/N), remember when you helped a guy who got injured over there?", South pointed at the staircase area.
"And no one helped the guy and pretended as if he didn't exist? Because he had a scary look? Too intimidating for anyone to check?", he continued.
"He had a broken nose, bleeding on the face after a fight. Thought he would pass out due to blood loss but an angel came by offering a hand...", he glanced at you with loving eyes.
"That was you. You were the angel and I was the bloody guy"
Then it hits. You finally remembered. That day, you were on your way home from another awful fight with your ex, mood is allover the floor and you decided to just run back home and cry about it. Too tired to care about anything not until you saw a tall figure running through the station holding something what it seems like a box of kittens with three other thug-looking people chasing after. Forgetting on what happened on your day, you decided to follow them from behind. The moment you see the taller dude on the floor protecting the kittens with his body, you immediately called for help. As the securities came by to chase after the thugs, you saw the person on the floor left alone with the crying kittens. No one seemed to care about him but you do. Yes, he seemed intimidating with that bloodied face but you didn't care, You pulled out your handkerchief and knelt down beside him. Holding out your hand to give him aid. You both couldn't get each other's name because you had to run after the train that was soon leaving.
"You...!", you gasped before getting down from his motorcycle.
"Your handkerchief helped stop the bleeding at least" South smiled widely as you finally noticed the neatly tucked in clothing in his pocket was yours.
"The kittens...", you wondered.
"They're at home now. Well-fed and I named one of them after you", South bashfully said.
"So that's how you found my school and know my name!", you smiled back.
"Yeah, sorry about that. It was my only way meeting you", South felt bad for his stalker behaviour.
Your heart fluttered knowing that he was the same person who would punch someone in the gut mercilessly and would risk his life for kittens.
The both of you stared at each other for a while. South took the silence as the wrong idea that you found him creepy and he rubbed the back of his head in shame. He guessed this was the end to it. This whole date has come to an end and he felt (Y/N) is going to leave him over the idea of falling in love with someone's kindness. Thinking that it was childish and there was no way an angel like you would love a monster-looking like him.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry... I'm sure this was all a surprise for you but my feelings for you are genui--!!!"
South's eyes widened when you pulled him down by his collar. Both of your lips touching and he felt your soft lips against his making him melt. All the insecurities within him gone immediately. His large hands cupped the sides of your head as he leaned in more into the kiss. You gave out a soft moan when South almost took your breath away with how deep and long the kiss were. You pulled back for air and when you glanced up to look at South, there were tears of joy in his eyes.
"South...", you muttered.
"I'm just so happy. I love you a lot, (Y/N). I'm glad you felt the same way!", his words were like rays of sunshine burning you with his love.
"You big dummy, how could I not fall for you?", you smiled back cheerfully before pulling him into another kiss as he spun you around by hugging you at the waist. Not caring if the public sees their declaration of love.
Not too far away, a red Audi that was parked by had three guys within. Both of them wore black sunglasses as they fist bumped each other.
"I told you the date will go well. You owe me 50 dollars", Ran said.
"Yeah, you lost, Kaku", Rindou added. The siblings laughed when they hear their friend cursing them.
Kakucho grumbled unhappily as he pulled out his dying wallet after losing so many bets with those two assholes.
"Oh well, at least our South isn't lonely anymore", Shion looked at the couple giggling at each other.
