It’s a beautiful day and Hina just finished her routine patrol with Kirishima and they were on their way to meet with Taishiro at the Agency. With takoyaki in hand, they walked to the Office’s lobby to the hallway going to Tai’s Office when she noticed an unfamiliar woman standing by Taishiro -too close as per Hina's liking- right outside Taishiro's Office door talking intently to Tai and Tamaki. Tai and Tamaki hadn't noticed them yet and while Hina wanted to barge in on their conversation and push them apart, she thought that it might be about work..
"Ms. Hina? Are you okay?" he asked.
“Oh, yes. I’m alright Kirishima” she mumbled, trying not to grit on her teeth when the woman gave Taishiro a flirty glance. Still looking at the group, “Never better.” she added. “Who’s that with Tai and Tamaki?” she gestured nonchalantly to the three, still engrossed in their conversation.
“Who, Ms. H?” Kiri asked, confused as he is, he then looked over to the person Taishiro and Tamaki’s talking to. “Oh that’s Detective Naomasa’s assistant, Saiko. She might be here to ask about the incident in Osaka the other day.”
Incident my butt she automatically thinks by the way the woman was talking to Tai. Tai and the woman are now laughing with a blushing Tamaki beside them and when the woman’s hand landed on Taishiro’s arm..
Oh boy.. her eyes turned red. Nobody touches her Tai like that. she thought as she brisked walked towards them leaving a confused Kirishima to follow her shortly behind and waited by her office door.
“Ms. H?” Kiri calls out but Hina continues toward the group.
“Tai!” Hina jumped into Tai’s arms and as usual, he caught her. “Baby, I miss you!” she then landed a nice big smack on his lips. “Did you miss me?” she asked as she seductively rubbed her chest on Tai’s cheeks like a cat in heat, trying to mark her territory. She took a quick glimpse of the woman’s reaction and faked a surprise.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t see you there.” she said. “There are just some days that you’re just too excited to see the one you love, you know.” she winked and gave Tai another kiss. Hina tapped Tai on his shoulder to signal him to let her down. When he did, she introduced herself to the woman.
“Hello! I’m Hina ‘Soon-to-be-Toyomitsu’ Tsukuru or if you prefer Pro-Hero Artiste.” she offered her hand, making sure that her engagement ring was catching the light, with a huge smug look on her face. “And you are?” she asked, facing the woman as Hina scanned the woman from top to bottom. The woman still looked surprised and blinked at Hina then she looked at Hina’s hand and her ring and back to her face.
Hina stilled. She doesn't know if it’s just a trick of the light but she thought she saw the woman’s eyes turned all-white for a moment there but it was quick and when she looked back at Hina’s hand and smiled, it’s the same normal brown eyes that the woman had.
Weird.
“Hi. I’m Saiko 'Soon-to-be-Detective’ Tomimori. Sai, if you prefer.” she shook Hina’s hand with a glint of amusement in her eyes. “And I’m afraid I’ll be going now.” the woman-Sai declared. “Thanks for the information, Taishiro-kun and Tamaki-kun. I really appreciate it and it’s nice to see you again, Taishiro-kun.” she added. “See you around.” Sai bowed “You too, Ms. Pro-Hero Artiste.” Sai winked at Hina and smiled sincerely as she walked away.
And ‘Nice to see you again’, my peach butt. She thought.
“Ahm.. Hina?” mumbled Tai. “What was that?” he asked.
“What was what?” Hina answered nonchalantly.
“You know what I’m talking about.”
“What? Can’t I miss the person that I love so much that I needed to jump onto his arms and kiss him senseless?” she asked hastily as she gave Taishiro another hug. Both Taishiro and Hina were not that huge fans of PDA as they preferred it in private and it’s the first time for Hina to initiate a PDA just to prove a point.
“That’s not-” he sighed “Of course you can do that, doodles. As many times as you want. But we were in the middle of something there.”
“In the middle of what?” she argued.
“Someone might be jealous..” chuckled Kirishima as he went closer to the trio.
“Kirishima..” warned Hina. She faced Tai again and said “What about you?! You were just giggling and stuff with that woman.” Hina’s voice is getting louder this time some of the staff looked at them curiously.
Hina then pulled the nearest boy to her and trusted him to a wall and blocked him in an awkward kabedon. It happened quickly, Tamaki didn’t even see it coming.
“What was THIS!?” Hina stood chest to chest to the poor reddening Tamaki and ran a hand on his arm flirtatiously, trying to make a point. “What was-?” Hina giggled trying to mock Sai’s laugh “You're so funny, Tamaki-kun.” then proceeded to caress Tamaki's arm again as he reddened deeper.
“Sensei..”
“She did not do that, Darlin’.” said Tai
“Did too.”
“No, Doodles. She did not.” said Tai “You can ask Tamaki. He’s with me all the time.”
“Well, In my eyes, she did.” argued Hina.
“Uhm..Sensei.."
“And now you're trying to defend her?” added Hina
“Hina..That’s not..”
“Sensei, Please.” murmured Tamaki
“Uhm.. FatGum?” Kirishima mumbled, looking all awkward as he looked over to Taishiro for help. “I think Tamaki-Senpai needs help.”
“Yes.. Help.. I wanna go home..” Tamaki mumbled as he tried to pull the hood of his hero costume down to hide his reddening face.
“Hina, let go of the kid, please.” Hina let Tamaki go and the boy didn’t hesitate to make a run for it.
“And there he goes.” Kirishima chuckled, “I’ll go now too, FatGum, Ms. H, before Tamaki-Senpai decides to drive the car back home, leaving me here stranded.” Tai nodded at Kirishima “Good luck, FatGum.” Kiri joked and he proceeded to follow Tamaki out of the Agency.
Taishiro carefully pulled Hina inside his office and closed the door. “Doodles, what was that?”
“It's nice to see you again, Taishiro-kun.” she continued as she mocked Sai’s words. “What was THAT?”
“Doodles, Assistant Detective Tomimori was here to ask more about the Osaka Incident and help interview some of the witnesses.” Tai explained as he rubs Hina’s shoulder. “And ‘Nice to see you again’ because I knew Sai.” Hina looked at Tai swiftly “I knew her when she was still in High School. She attended Shiketsu High too and she interned in the same Hero Agency where I worked at before. She’s my Kouhai.”
“Kouhai my a-”
“Hina..” Taishiro pleaded.
Hina turned away as even she didn't know why she acted that way as nothing like this had happened before. She was fine with the other opposite-sex Pro-Hero or not talking to Tai, having a laugh with him. But this time, she just felt something different with that Sai woman that he was talking to. “What’s happening here?” Tai asked. Hina shrugged. “Doodles..”
“She was flirting at you.” Hina mumbled. “And right in front of Tamaki? Poor Child” she added jokingly.
“Doodles, no one is flirting with anyone.” Tai chuckled and shook his head. “Hina..” Tai started. “You know that you’re the one that I truly love the most, right?” Tai turned Hina to face him. “The one that I love seeing every moment of the day.” Tai’s hand slides down to Hina’s hand, Hina’s head lowered in shame as all the smugness she felt earlier dissipates. He pulled her into his arms and sighed. “The one that I wanted to start a family with.” He slightly moved away and lifted Hina’s face with a finger and looked into her eyes “The one that I’m looking forward to marrying.” Taishiro lifted Hina’s hand and kissed it. “You’re the one for me, Hina. No one else.” he affirmed Hina and gave her a kiss on her forehead and leaned his forehead to hers. “You know that, right?”
“I know that, Tai.” Hina replied. “I just.. When I saw you laughing with her and Tamaki and then she touched you.. I don’t like it. “ Hina confessed.
“I won’t like it either if I saw someone do that to you, Doodles. I understand.” Tai agreed. “But promise me when you feel like that again just tell me that you’re uncomfortable with it.” Hina nodded. “And you won’t use other people to demonstrate just to point something out as you might scar them to death.” Tai chuckled as Hina burrowed into his arms as she felt the embarrassment of what she’d done to Tamaki.
She needed to apologize to Tamaki later. She thought. Hina felt the green-eyed monster leave her head and now all she felt was love. Tai’s love.
“I love you, Tai.” mumbled Hina against Tai’s chest.
“I love you more, Doodles.” replied Tai.
“More than Takoyaki?” Hina looked up to Tai in her puppy eyes.
Tai chuckled. “That’s negotiable.”
“WHAT?!”
“I’m kidding. I’m kidding.” Tai laughed, “I love you, Doodles. More than Takoyaki and to the moon and back.”
