Your Boyfriend

Summary:

[This story is not for children under the age of 18; this does not follow the same storyline from the video game "Your Boyfriend" and will avoid spoilers as best as possible by creating its own storyline about Peter and The Protagonist, if you want the ACTUAL storyline then play the video game yourself, but please be respectful of the creator's warning that it is not for children under the age of 18 regardless of how mature you may "think" you are. Since my name is Melody that will be the main character's name themselves along with my appearance somewhat, not "The Protagonist"]

Peter is a young boy who has a strange obsession with a girl he finds an admiration for from a local diner; interestingly enough, Melody doesn't really understand his interest or fascination with her but learns that the sensitive and kind boy she thought she knew only a few days ago was much more than ordinary. With her life turned upside down due to only a single teenager, she begins to understand that sometimes you shouldn't judge a book by its cover as her own understanding of her life is becoming increasingly frightening.

Chapter 1: Tired Of Love Songs

Chapter Text

Day 1:

Breathing out a deep sigh, I was way more stressed out than I could even imagine, it was like my mind was spinning in circles and non of my problems were ever going to stop effecting me in the slightest. What it was that made me so on the edge was only small issues that extended into the world's most major explosion in my mind. Rubbing at the brunette tips of my hair, I couldn't help myself from trying to forget my problems even for a second.

Pulling my fingertips off the nearby tree, I stepped along the quiet path surrounding me with only the birds raising their beautiful voices around me; each melody coming from those beautiful blue angels was beyond relaxing for my mind thankfully.

Once I was finally able to collapse onto the nearest bench I could find at the moment, my entire body felt like I just melted completely on the spot. "This is bad enough with how fucking annoying my roommate can be; if only Lu-Lu would actually pay her rent on time we wouldn't have this sort of problem all the time and my feet wouldn't be killing me....geez......"

Closing my eyes while I could hear the leaves rustling through the wind, I could finally imagine myself some peace and quiet until the heard the sound of someone randomly sitting next to me. "Hiya there!" This stranger said so casually; in fact I've never seen anyone usually out here so this was more than a surprise.

"You're a jumpy one aren't ya?" Laughing to himself lovingly, he began to scoot closer towards me which was starting to make me uncomfortable so I started to scoot away. Did this dude in front of me not know anything about social distancing or something, It wasn't exactly pleasant to have him so close to me like this. It didn't take him long to notice how uncomfortable I was becoming and so he placed his fingers on his lap while twiddling through them constantly.

"So....are you waiting for anyone right now...? Maybe a friend or something; it just seems unusual for you to be sitting here all alone while being so far away from the nearby jogging track...ya know?" He was saying nervously, which I couldn't honestly understand why he was randomly asking these sorts of things. This random teenager was actually utterly and completely awkward and I couldn't tell if he was trying to form his words or keep himself conformed.

"No....not really; I just am trying to get some peace and quiet right now." I told this stranger but something about him was rubbing me the other way; maybe it was his tone of voice or the fact he was trying to get closer to the point his hand was almost touching my own but I wasn't exactly comfortable. Even so, it didn't seem to bother him in the slightest while he continued speaking.

"I know this is sudden. Very sudden. But if you're free I would love to take you out to dinner tonight, if you wouldn't mind giving me the pleasure of course." Raising an eyebrow at him, it wasn't even possible to take in what he was saying when I hardly even knew his name just yet. Even so, he was waiting patiently for my answer without a single doubt left in his mind.

"Wait...who are you first...I don't even know you're name yet!" Opening his eyes for only a split second, his curious-seeming expression had faded in only mere seconds and he refused to look me in the eye. There was something terrifying about how bitter he instantly became and how this random boy wasn't in the mood for any bullcrap right now.

"Forget my name, it's just a stupid joke, call me whatever you fucking want. Besides I assume it would've been obvious by now, I'm your boyfriend!" He tried to tell me with a voice that was much deeper than I thought it would've been; regardless, I didn't know how to react and instead tried to change the subject at first by giving him a name of sorts.

"Umm...is Peter alright?" I tried to ask but he instantly tensed up like hell before clenching his fists much too tightly before nodding his head hesitantly; he definitely wouldn't look me in the eye now and I was beginning to wonder if I made a mistake and somehow hurt his feelings by doing that. "Ummm...well....why don't we go on a date tonight, ok Peter?"

Already having a knot in my stomach from the feeling I most likely fucked up, but I needed some sort of excuse to get my mind off of things. Thankfully, once he heard that I would actually go with him for dinner his eyes were lighting up like the sun. "Great!! See you for dinner at seven-" He was about to get off the bench but stopped once he noticed that he was forgetting something.

"Oh yeah, we need a place to meet up, I shouldn't be so absent-minded but I'm just too excited! How about we meet up at the diner, ya know the one you work at!" A chill ran down my spine once he said something about appearantly knowing where I worked, even so I tried to push away those uncomfortable thoughts in hopes i was just overthinking it too much.

Nodding my head cautiously, he beamed up with a smile that I swore went up to his cheeks so much that it was kinda creepy. Even so, he just bounced off the bench with a skip in every step; he was definitely more than happy-go-lucky about the whole situation, there was no denying that, but there was still something strange about him that I couldn't place my finger on in the slightest.

Once night finally arrived, it was kinda weird for me to be meeting up at my work place for an unknown date after only a few seconds of meeting someone but i tried to shake it all off. Since he was running a couple minutes late I got myself a milkshake since the rest of the food was honestly not the bestest in the world in my own personal opinion. Thankfully Peter finally arrived while breathing out deep breaths, looking completely and utterly exhausted and panicking until he finally noticed me, most likely assuming I might've left by this point. "You're late."

"I know...I'm sorry, really! I had to pick up something for you and I was practically running here once i noticed that I might be late beacuse I was taking too long, I'm really sorry; i got this for you, I thought they were really beautiful in all honesty and that you might like them, at least I sure hope so." It was kinda cute to see him beginning to blush in-between his constant deep breaths he was trying to contain bit by bit. It was actually a very sweet gesture in my opinion and I opened the large white box carefully to find two beautiful roses with the stems picked off carefully and the bright seeming item was tied with a stunning black silk ribbon.

Placing the roses up to my face, I couldn't help adoring how fragrant they were and it was more than I actually expected him to do; It was obvious how much work he placed into it at the same time, it seemed that he took off the stems so that I wouldn't hurt myself and placed it inside such a pretty looking box with absolutely stunning decorations that I couldn't help myself from adoring every second of looking at it. "Thank you so much..."

"It's not anything grand like you would see in the movies but ya know, I thought they looked really pretty like you, so I'm glad that you liked it." Grinning to himself, I could see this young teenager watching me enjoying his carefully picked out gift in outmost love. "I know I should've given you something better but..."

"It's fine, you got me something absolutely amazing, honestly this was just too nice of you. How about in return we can share my milkshake as long as I can get the cherry got it?" Nodding his head with a small blush crossing his cheeks once more, we talked for a little bit until it was starting to almost get too dark so the two of us finished the milkshake and I decided to leave no matter how pleasant of a time that I was having right now. "I have to go but we can spend a little more time together next time alright, after all this wasn't a total disaster was it?"

He seemed kinda out of it while trying to somehow form words out of his mouth which was absolutely kinda cute in all honesty. "I-I mean it wasn't was it, unless you think it was, but I don't want to argue with you, but you...umm..." Giving him a small smile, I grasped onto his arm and began to write my number down on it along with my name since he never did get the time to ask it from me.

"Call me sometime and we can meet up again, if you really want to meet up again I'll be taking a break around noon I assume so we could spend time together if you wait for me." Nodding his head at me, he wouldn't stop admiring the number on his arm with complete awe; infact I swore he wasn't even blinking in the slightest from how much he was admiring it strangely enough. "How did you exactly know where I worked at though?"

Raising an eyebrow at him completely spaced out, I shook his shoulder in order to snap him out of it which surprised him but he finally answered my question thankfully. "Oh...I come here often when I'm walking besides the diner and I catch glimpses of you, but it's not easy for me to go inside without getting cold feet so I end up chickened out like a loser."

"You're not a loser." I told him while trying to comfort this small sweetheart, rubbing his hand with a smile. Thankfully he was perking up once he could feel the touch of my thin fingertips and nodded his head, but it really was time for me to leave so I waved at him kindly before leaving the diner and making my way home. Unfortunately I could already hear the moans of my 'roommate' and her so-called study partner from her room which made me walk up to her door without any hesitation, banging on the door. "Some people are trying to live here!"

Breathing out a deep sigh, I really couldn't stand knowing that my roommate was a jobless slut that never paid her rent which forced me to work dozens of more job hours than she could imagine just to cover her ass. Even so, she always made me coffee in the morning and kept the place clean so that may be why I just can't find any reason to kick her out of this place and keep covering for her, even so...."Geez, why me..." Collapsing onto my bed, I finally decided to get some sleep and placed the roses on my bedside table with relief before passing out, but strangely enough I swore there was a figure in the corner of my eye.
