Chapter Text
Lincoln climbed down the stairs, ready to get his breakfast. He was about to enter the kitchen when Lynn blocked the way.
"Sorry Stinkoln, I have to be the seventh to get my breakfast. It's good luck." Lynn explained.
"It takes you half an hour to make your breakfast," Lincoln complained.
"Sorry. I have a big lacrosse game today and I can't risk anything." Lynn responded, causing Lincoln to groan in frustration.
Luan walked to her room when she bumped into Lynn, who was doing a strange dance.
Luan asked, "what are you doing?"
"My good luck rituals," Lynn responded, "I have a big game today."
"You're blocking my room." Luan growled.
"Sorry, Luan. This is the luckiest spot in the house." Lynn stated, much to Luan's annoyance.
"Has anyone seen my mirror?" Lola asked.
"Sorry." Lynn replied, "looking in a pocket mirror on the day of a big game is bad luck. I locked all your mirrors up yesterday. I can't risk anything. You can have them back tomorrow."
"You wil pay!" Lola shouted
Later that day
All of the Loud siblings, apart from Lynn and Lori, sat in Leni's room.
"Lynn's superstitions have gotten out of hand," Lola complained , "she's tormenting us!"
"Gotten out of hand? They've always been this bad!" Luan stated in frustration, before turning to Lincoln. "Remember when she tormented us at that hockey game?"
"Or the time she called Lincoln bad luck," Lucy added, "we even kicked him out of the house before we realized our mistake."
Lana replied, "you think that's bad! Remember what happened to Leni?"
Leni suddenly started shaking in fear. "They... were... so..."
Lucy reminded Lana, "we promised to never bring up the clothesline incident, remember."
"Oh. Sorry."
Leni calmed down and said, "the point is that we need to do something."
"But what? She's been superstitious her whole life. What can we do to change that?" Luna asked in exasperation.
Lincoln raised his hand. "I have an idea."
The next day
Lynn and Luan were in line for the bathroom. When it was Lynn's turn, Luan asked her, "can I cut in front of you?"
"No. Why would I let you do that?" Lynn answered.
Unfazed, Luan replied, "I read that going to the bathroom in descending age order is good luck. "
"Since when?"
Luan answered, "I mean, I know it's hard to believe. Still, when you go before me and lose, you can see first-hand... "
"Please! After you!" Lynn shouted, startling everyone in the line. Luan grinned.
Lincoln was working on taking out the trash when Lynn walked by. Lincoln smiled.
Lynn commented, "I've never seen you happy to take out the trash. What's up?"
Lincoln replied, "Stella told me that taking out the trash is good luck. I can't wait to see my friends' faces when I destroy them at video games tomorrow."
"Not anymore!" Lynn shouted, as she stole the trash bag and completed the chore in record speed. In her haste, she missed Lincoln's satisfied grin.
Lucy and Lynn were in their room. Lynn was holding a chocolate bar when Lucy snatched it from her hand. "I put a hex on this chocolate bar," Lucy warned, "if you eat it you'll have bad luck for a month."
Lynn panicked. "Get it away from me!" She shouted as she ran from the room.
Lucy grinned as she ate her stolen chocolate.
The Loud siblings continued using made-up superstitions to gain favors with Lynn. However, Lynn never gave up her superstitions, and when the novelty of controlling Lynn wore off, the family became tired of the act.
The Loud siblings, sans Lynn, were once again meeting in Leni's room.
"This isn't working," Lola complained, "we need a new plan."
The sisters turned expectantly toward Lincoln, who only shrugged. "I don't know."
Lisa interjected, "I may have devised a solution."
"Well let's hear it." said Lana.
Lisa replied, "follow me to my room."
